This luxury private 2600 sq foot home on the quiet Eastern end of Nassau is the perfect escape for your family. Enjoy lounging in a hammock on the huge back patio with panoramic views of Athol and Rose Island and cool down in the crystal clear plunge pool with soothing fountain. Open the back gate and step down in to the ocean for a swim or row our dinghy out a few hundred feet to snorkel the many surrounding reefs. The house is situated on the quiet residential Eastern end of the island amongst many other private luxury properties and away from the major (noisy) tourist hubs. It is a short 10 minute drive to downtown Nassau, local restaurants and Paradise Island and Atlantis. The ocean is down the back steps but there is also a beach within swimming and one within walking distance of the house. There is a local grocery store within walking distance as well. We have established a unique and exclusive rental car rate with a local rental car company of $250/week (car can be picked up on arrival at the airport).

Beautiful villa - ideal for groups or family; we loved spending time in the lounge but what made the differrence is the terrasse where we had breakfasts and dinners. Exceptionnal views on the ocean.
2 bedrooms with views on the Ocean, 1 with ensuite. Fully equiped kitchen.
Close to the centre, in a quiet area. You will need a car to go to the nearby beach/ restaurants.
Mark, the owner, takes great care of you from booking to check out.
For us the best place to stay in Nassau. -

My husband and I both have high-pressure jobs. We were looking for an escape from the grind. We found it at Water's Edge. As we entered the gate of this quaint island paradise reality melted away. The main living area is open and comfortable. The bedrooms are spacious. But I can't say that we spent much time in the house...
The view from the back patio is breathtaking. The doors open to a beautiful outdoor living space which overlooks the Caribbean. We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner outside! The days were lazy, filled with much needed R&R.; We read books, napped in the hammock, and simply enjoyed the sun and the seascape. The home has direct access to the water, and the pool is perfect for that quick dip to cool off. Although we were looking for a quiet getaway, nightlife was not far away. We found it easy to get over to Paradise Island for some dinner and gambling at atlantis.
We enjoyed our trip so much we returned with our daughter the following year. She enjoyed it as much as we did. We've got a new baby at home, but are looking forward to getting back to Water's Edge soon.Response from Mark Cabrelli - 02/04/2012

A beautiful home with breathtaking views. Waking to the sounds of the ocean every morning was a wonderful treat. All the ammenities of home in a luxury location! The beaches were close by and easy to get to. And the ocean side pool was the perfect place to relax with a cocktail! I went with a friend for a girls weekend but the house would easily accomadate a family too.

We had a wonderful stay at Waters Edge. The house and grounds were in immaculate condition. The owners readily made themselves available to answer any questions we had and ensure that our stay was perfect.
The house is situated so that there is a stunning view across the ocean. The furniture and decor is comfortable and appropriate for the location. The ocean is easily accessible through your own private gate on the patio (under the palm trees and next to the pool).
The patio is perfect for drinks and entertaining and we spent many mornings there watching the sunrise over the ocean while we enjoyed a leisurely breakfast.
Nassau is just 20 minutes away and Paradise Island, with its casinos, aquarium and water park is even closer.
The fishing locally is superb as are the beaches. Cabbage beach, which is just up the road is so beautiful it takes your breath away.
I would unreservedly recommend this property if you're looking for a private, Bahamian retreat on the ocean, close to fabulous dining and all that Nassau has to offer.
