We spent three weeks at the Point Village in Negril at apt#243 and had the best time. The apt was clean and cozy and the view of the ocean was just what the doctor ordered. The wonderful gentle breezes from the ocean was rather refreshing. The people in Negril were so polite and friendly.

Yet another memorable stay at Point Village Jamaica.
I enjoyed a lovely 10 day stay, soaking up the sun, sand and surf with great friends.
Weather was incredible the entire time, proving true that Jamaica has the most consistent weather of any destination I have been too. Not to mention, beautiful sunsets beyond imaginable.
If you are looking for a vacation where you can have a mix of it all, from good food, reliable weather, snorkeling by day, reggae tunes by night, this is the spot to be.
I plan on revisiting later this year, so will be sure to keep posting my amazing experiences.
Until next time...

This was a wonderful apartment with a great view of the water. We had a wonderful stay, very relaxing enjoying the beaches, town, and live music, and healthful by walking, playing tennis, swimming, cooking wonderful meals with local seafood, salads, and enjoying the fresh fruit and juices. A short taxi ride takes you to town where you can shop, enjoy more of the seven mile beach, bars, restaurants, and/or live music. You can also walk the beach as this is the end of the seven miles. It was nice and quiet during our stay just prior to Christmas and it felt like we had the place almost to ourselves. There is a great market across the street where you can get local crafts and some nice meals at very reasonable prices. The nearby gas station/convenience store had a surprisingly nice variety of groceries. The apartment had a nice sized fridge which accommodated all our food, a nicely appointed kitchen for a rental, and was quite comfortable even for three adults. The property has lots of nice beach areas to enjoy, including a clothing-optional beach, as well as a tennis court and pool. It has a great path around the property that many people walked every day and the walk is quite nice and pretty. We enjoyed meals on our balcony enjoying the sun and wonderful view. It was a great recharge and reset to a more healthy lifestyle which is what we were looking for. You can play golf nearby, there are yoga classes, and even camels you can ride in addition to a water park and so much more when you venture out.

Domingos condo was prestine and is located right on the most beautiful beach my wife, Gail, and I have ever seen. The water was crystal clear, the sandy beach was like sugar, and we enjoyed the privacy of sitting on his front deck overlooking the beach and tropical tree's surrounding us. His condo was equipped with everything so we had the luxury of watching TV in bed, listening to some of our Cd's we brought, as well as DVD movies. Awesome. Domingos has his kitchen equipped with everything where anybody could cook virtually anything they want. He was also very nice to arrange transportation upon our arrival, during our stay and then back to the airport where we were treated like gold. We stayed there for 10 days, and my wife didn't want to leave. We rate this a 5 star + + +, and highly recommed it to anybody who wants a perfect vacation.

Hello,
This was my first time in Jamaica and thought that I really lucked out. The room was large enough for me and my girl freind and the fan along with air condition kept us very comfortable. Though the fan was good enough. We found there was a recent change to the unit where you could stor3e the luggage under the bed which was very use full. The bed was so comfortable and you could see the ocean from bed. I'am planing to go back in March! 2 thumbs up for the price! -

This was the second time I have rented this unit at Point Village - as I had such an amazing time the first time. It's a great spot!
Unit was clean, bright, and spacious. This living space was very comfortable, for both a couple or a small family. The kitchenette made meal times very convenient, and the outdoor balcony was a great place to take in the beautiful views and fresh air.
Restaurants, beach bars, and some must see tourist attractions (Ricks Cafe) are a short distance from resort, making it easy to get out and soak up some of the Jamaican culture and cuisine.
The weather was very consistent, the beaches were well groomed and the snorkelling is a must!
I found the owner very accomodating, and on both occassions was an absolute pleasure to deal with.
I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to enjoy some fun in the sun.
I have already been twice, and I will most definitely be returning in the near future. -

I stayed in the studio apt with my sister but was very surprised to find out the owner was entering the apt while we were gone. Some of the neighbors had informed us that while we were out travelling the beautiful country of Jamaica, the owner -Domingos Furtado- was asking the security guards to inform him when we had left the premises. Also, we were not allowed to have any visitors (not that security actually stopped us) our aunt and uncle were staying down the street at another hotel and Domingos informed us that we were not to invite them over. We ended up leaving early because of all the issues but Domingos refused to return our money for the cxnled nights. Beware!!! Do not trust this person!

We rented this unit knowing that it was a studio. It was quite small for my wife, 3yo daughter and myself. Reading the reviews that were posted (only2 others at the time we rented) we thought it would be ok since one of the reviews said it accomadated 4 with plenty of room. I don't see how this would be possible as it was very tight with the 3 of us. The room itself was about average. Hot water was hard to come by most days for showers not sure if this was because of the time of day we were wanting to shower (late afternoon most days) or because of a problem with the heater. When we did have it it was luke warm. The owner had one of the 2 closets locked up. So, we had to store all of our luggage right in the room with us making it even smaller. Appliance provided did not work well. Coffee maker barely worked and took 45 minutes(or more) to brew a full pot. Balcony/porch was very small and the wall around it was very tall so if sitting you couldn't see over it and it was barely enough room for sitting. My biggest pet peeve though was that the owner took a $50 cleaning deposit and said "if we had the place cleaned when we left we would get it back." We arranged to have a good friend of ours to clean it when we were leaving only to have the owner say "No way, Nobody from outside except my lady!" He never specified this when we arrived and was charging double what we found we could get it cleaned for. So the last day we had to get up at 6 am and clean the place ourselves to get our 50 bucks back. It would have been no problem if he had just told us that in the first place. The apartment was ok and I would maybe stay again if it was just 2 people. Point Village is a nice property and it felt very secure there. Overall, it did meet our basic needs and nothing more. Not sure if I would recommend it or not it would depend on the traveller and what their expectations were so I have to give it a thumbs down for a recommendation.

We were very happy with this studio apartment rental. This was our 4th trip to Negril, and we've stayed in different locations each time. The beautiful beaches, the rock pools, and the swimming pool were definite huge pluses! The grounds are nicely cared for and the unit was quite adequate, with a nice bed, refrigerator, and small kitchen and bathroom- even a tv and dvd player! It was quiet and not very crowded which was great. It was wonderful to hear waves crashing at night ( when Hendonism's music stopped) instead of traffic noises. This location is quite a distance from town, so one of our few dislikes was the need to spend $ often on cabs. The hot tub had been out of order for quite awhile. We would have enjoyed another comfortable chair for the balcony. The owner was quite friendly and accomodating. Overall, we were very happy with this lodging and hope to return !

My husband and I stayed at this studio in December. The studio was clean and in good condition. It has a view of the ocean, but is not completely beach side. It sits back a ways as there is a courtyard between the studio and the beach. The property is great. The studio is located on a resort that recently went bankrupt, so there is lots of privacy. We walked around and went to the beach almost everyday and barely saw anyone else. The private beach was beautiful, there are caves and even ocean fed pools. The pool was in good condition but the hot tub was not working while we were there.
The only major downfall of this property is that it is located next to Hedonism II. Since the studio is at the beginning of 7 mile beach the only way to get to the rest of the beach is to walk through the naked Hedonism beach, and walk through 2 or 3 other all-inclusive resorts. Unless you want to pay for a very expensive taxi, to get to any public restaurants or clubs you have to walk at least 2 miles. We did lots of walking and enjoyed our stay, but did not love having to walk through the naked (lots of old naked) people or walk several miles to get to restaurants. -

Me and a friend stayed at Mr Furtados studio located just steps from the beautiful beach of Negril. This studio is perfect for up to 3 adults or for a family of 4. It has all the amenities of home. It is perfect for the unfussy traveler who likes to vacation at their own pace. There is beach, pool, and rock pools as well as the caves to keep you busy. Also there a friendly residents who live at Point Village who are always willing to help out Karen and ls where very kind and answered any questions or concerns. They can also refer you to the right person/people regarding activities on the island. Its an unbeatable price for a wonderful and peaceful location to get away from the hussle of everyday life. I am most certain to return to this studio in the future.

I really enjoyed my stay. The staff were great and very helpful. Loved having the option to stay at a guesthouse over expensive hotels but yet situated right on seven mile beach. Everything in my suite was in good working condition. Cant complain, I will definitely go back to point village again.

The studio was finely decorated with all the modern amentities I required. The space fit my family of four quite perfectly, with room to spare. It was very clean inside, well decorated with fine linens on the bed:Not your usual run of the mill low grade bedsheets and furniture. Well done to the owner. I found the location of the studio to be a piece of paradise. We had use of both an adult and a family beach, which was nice and clean. We were supprised to find three caves that we could explore in which kept us busy. The grounds are wonderfully cared for, with a lush landscaping of flowers and fruit trees.Security was great, so we felt quite safe. Would love to go back again. This is one to keep on the list.
