“First trip to Jamaica!” We all had a wonderful time on our vacation. Your home is absolutely wonderful and I could sit on that veranda all day and look out at the sea. The staff was excellent especially Paulette and Miss anne! We figured we would try that first dinner and a breakfast and see how it went, but once we ate the food they cooked we were hooked. We did eat out a few times, but Miss anne and Paulette's cooking was the best we ate! Do not ever lose those two women they are truly a joy! Benjie was a great driver and very helpful, Danny did a good job getting rid of the flotsam that come on shore every morning so we had a clean sand beach and let us watch him feed the sea turtles, Barry and Charma did a good job keeping us safe along with Sam and abby. We missed our dogs and having Sam and abby around was good comfort for my husband and I especially. We did have Benjie take us way down 7 mile beach one day and we walked back from there stopping at a few places to have a drink and eat. While we walked we did look for some of the other places we had looked at to rent. We found most of them and while they looked nice, being on 7 mile beach compared to the privacy of Llantrissant, there was no comparison and we were very happy we made the decision to stay at Llantrissant. It's hard especially if you have never been to the area to know what will be the best option and everyone makes their places sound and look great. Sometimes it works out and sometimes it isn't all that you dreamed it would be. We all had high hopes for Llantrissant and we were not disappointed. We would recommend your home to anyone looking to take a trip to Jamaica and have already talked it up. Hoping to return again. Wish we were there now since the winter weather is definitely coming to Wisconsin now!

“Great place to stay!” I stayed here with my boyfriend this past week and we really enjoyed Point Village and the studio Domingos rented to us! The studio itself has a working stove, fridge, tv, air conditioner, and fan (plus wifi if you ask). Point Village is great because it is at the start of the 7 mile beach and is on private property so you will not be bothered on the beach, or anywhere else. It is quieter than what I saw of the rest of 7 mile beach and certainly more secluded. You can easily walk down the beach to a number of restaurants or bars or hop in a taxi to take to the west end. Personally, I loved it because it felt more like a community and home than any of the hotels we could have stayed at. Domingos was also a very gracious host who was always available and very willing to provide help and advice, or a drink! Nevertheless, it is a used-to-be resort that went bankrupt a couple of years ago so some parts of it are not that well maintained. If you are the type of person who loves or needs to stay at an all-inclusive resort this may not be the best fit for you. Another thing to keep in mind is it is next door to hedonism (a resort for mostly middle-aged nudes) and so on some parts of the property you can hear their music playing late at night (but for the most part it is very quiet). Regardless, I would certainly stay here, or in any of the other apartments in Point Village, the next time I visit.

“Fantastic get-away outside of Negril proper” The Retreat Plantation House is a picturesque villa in "Retreat", Westmoreland Parish, situated on a hillside overlooking acres of sugar cane fields on what is a still operational plantation. Although at times the tranquil surroundings may transport you to another century, the villa is newly refurbished and replete with the necessities of modern living. The three bedrooms easily accommodate 7, and our large group of 9 was quite comfortable throughout our stay. If you are looking for a respite from the gauche touristy atmosphere of the all-inclusive resorts on 7 mile, then Retreat is ready to oblige with a more relaxed, authentic, local Jamaican feel. If your vacation contemplates forays into town and the beach, then Retreat is also well suited (it's a 15-20 min. cab ride to the action, at about $2 USD per person, day rate. Renting a car is also feasible).

“A relaxing holiday set on a gorgeous bay in Jamaica.” My wife and I throughly enjoyed our stay at Le Mer. The owners, Karin and Coleman were attentive and accommodating throughout our stay. For a reasonable price Karin picked us up at the airport and took us to the Mega Mart in Montego Bay to get supplies for our week long stay. Karin, for a reasonable price also took us into Lucea for a needed stop at the aTM, to beautiful and exciting Mayfield Falls (quite an adventure); Half-moon Bay and our transfer to Negril. Le Mer is ideal for a quiet getaway in a tropical setting. It's location on the ocean is great for snorkelling in the sheltered bay in front of the property. Ocean access is easy with a ladder or you can jump or dive right in! The coral is in good shape and recovering. We saw some smaller fish, octopi and cuttlefish but no bigger fish. There are also two nice beaches at Bull's Bay, a 10 minute walk up the road. You can pick up a cold red strip after your swim at a small shop nearby! This beach is safe and used by friendly locals. The bedrooms are huge and have a private balcony. The ensuite bathrooms have generous amounts of hot water provided form solar energy. Spacious living areas are available and a great place to meet other travellers. The mosaic tiled bar separating the kitchen from the other common areas proved to be a favourite place to sit and chat with new friends. The tables in the dining room are quite unique, look handcrafted and are a comfortable place to dine with a wonderful view of the sunset over the Bay. The large, well kept pool was a favourite spot to catch the morning breeze and a refreshing dip at any time of the day! This place is ideal if you are travelling as a larger group as you could occupy one or both of the two villas. The dogs which provide security are friendly and we enjoyed their company. They are well behaved and can be tethered if you are uncomfortable around them. In summary; great value for the money, a safe, secure environment; at a Beautiful location

“Best Vacation Ever!” My family and I stayed at Point Of View Villa last Christmas. We had a fantastic time! The Villa was beautiful and the staff was extremely nice and helpful. It was wonderful to find a place away from all the tourist traps and high prices, but still be able to take short trips to see many of Jamaica's attractions. My family and I are definitely coming back! Having our own private cook was great, we all loved her cooking and professional service, it was more than we had hoped for. We have stayed other places and this was by far the best. The owner was very helpful advising us. Highly recommended!!!

“The best vacation ever at the best villa with the best staff” Alan & Reg, We had a fabulous time at Nutmeg! All six of us loved this villa/property. The ocean view was heavenly. All of the bedroom were great, and the master was simply beautiful. The staff was outstanding! We fell in love with all of them; Ms. P, Carlington, Nataleen, Shereen, Andre and Wilton. They were very professional and all were great at their jobs. Ms. P is an excellent chef. We loved each meal! We plan to retun to Nutmeg next year! We wish we could buy this property. I was told that it would be going on the market soon, however, we are sure that it will be too pricey for us. So, for now, we will just have to visit yearly. “Peaceful, accomadating, relaxing, no tourist hassels.” The area was extremely peaceful and the people who lived in the complex were very inviting and friendly. A short walk from the apartment to the coastline, you'll see very pretty and scenic views. From views of rocky coastline to quiet and private beaches, it was beatiful to take a stroll, catch some sunshine, and just relax with a homemade cockail from your fridge. If you have a vehicle, parking is convenient and the property is just a short drive to shopping, food, and entertainment. The foliage on the ground are well kept and neatly manicured. The only part of the hotel complex that still seemed to be in function was the pool area. Staying at this apartment was really like you were living on the island. A visit to the grocery store is a great idea so you can fill your fridge with necessary items or perhaps cook some local foods in the kitchen area as we did. There was plenty of sitting room for four as well as sleeping arrangements. Mr. Rose was just a phone call away from a cell phone he provided for convenience. He checked in frequently to make sure things were ok, and to see if there was anything we needed. The apartment had air conditioning as well as plenty of ventilation for fresh air if desired instead. There were absolutely no hassels on the beach from locals as you would experience on the seven mile beach, and the beaches weren't filled with tourists becasue of the isolation of this property. The waters on the waters on this area of the beach were clear and very little sea grass washing up from the ocean. We definately enjoyed ourselves for the apartment value and local non-tourist accomadations. Joyce was very attentive via email and responded to all questions and concerns regarding the booking in a timely manner. Be sure to arrange form of payments and confirm booking dates with Joyce before you leave and bring contact information when you arrive to call Mr. Rose...he'll be expecting you;)!
