“Heaven on EARTH!!!!” After reading numerous reviews I went into this rental with a very open mind especially after such positive interactions with the owners Kevin & Lisa. They communicated effectively regarding any and all transactions, support while staying there, as well as overall feedback needed at any timeframe. Upon arrival Dale was awesome as well as security which was above and beyond and helpful. The property itself left me speechless. There are updates throughout and I never felt that I lacked anything that any resort had to offer ; in fact there were more amenities; i.e. washer/dryer, surplus of dishes, numerous satellite channels, SONY IPOD, overall comfortable home setting. The residential area was quiet, peaceful and the beach amazing. The condo was stocked with more than enough linens & towels and I have never felt so much at "home" away from "home". Cabs are plentiful and it is about a 5-10 minute to town etc. but if you truly want to relax, avoid the busy day/nightlife escape to this rental and then venture out for the above. You have my word you will NOT be disappointed. I am definitely looking into renting again and I will also post pictures as well as video on my YouTube page: C Dioume

“Great place to stay!” I stayed here with my boyfriend this past week and we really enjoyed Point Village and the studio Domingos rented to us! The studio itself has a working stove, fridge, tv, air conditioner, and fan (plus wifi if you ask). Point Village is great because it is at the start of the 7 mile beach and is on private property so you will not be bothered on the beach, or anywhere else. It is quieter than what I saw of the rest of 7 mile beach and certainly more secluded. You can easily walk down the beach to a number of restaurants or bars or hop in a taxi to take to the west end. Personally, I loved it because it felt more like a community and home than any of the hotels we could have stayed at. Domingos was also a very gracious host who was always available and very willing to provide help and advice, or a drink! Nevertheless, it is a used-to-be resort that went bankrupt a couple of years ago so some parts of it are not that well maintained. If you are the type of person who loves or needs to stay at an all-inclusive resort this may not be the best fit for you. Another thing to keep in mind is it is next door to hedonism (a resort for mostly middle-aged nudes) and so on some parts of the property you can hear their music playing late at night (but for the most part it is very quiet). Regardless, I would certainly stay here, or in any of the other apartments in Point Village, the next time I visit.

“Peaceful, accomadating, relaxing, no tourist hassels.” The area was extremely peaceful and the people who lived in the complex were very inviting and friendly. A short walk from the apartment to the coastline, you'll see very pretty and scenic views. From views of rocky coastline to quiet and private beaches, it was beatiful to take a stroll, catch some sunshine, and just relax with a homemade cockail from your fridge. If you have a vehicle, parking is convenient and the property is just a short drive to shopping, food, and entertainment. The foliage on the ground are well kept and neatly manicured. The only part of the hotel complex that still seemed to be in function was the pool area. Staying at this apartment was really like you were living on the island. A visit to the grocery store is a great idea so you can fill your fridge with necessary items or perhaps cook some local foods in the kitchen area as we did. There was plenty of sitting room for four as well as sleeping arrangements. Mr. Rose was just a phone call away from a cell phone he provided for convenience. He checked in frequently to make sure things were ok, and to see if there was anything we needed. The apartment had air conditioning as well as plenty of ventilation for fresh air if desired instead. There were absolutely no hassels on the beach from locals as you would experience on the seven mile beach, and the beaches weren't filled with tourists becasue of the isolation of this property. The waters on the waters on this area of the beach were clear and very little sea grass washing up from the ocean. We definately enjoyed ourselves for the apartment value and local non-tourist accomadations. Joyce was very attentive via email and responded to all questions and concerns regarding the booking in a timely manner. Be sure to arrange form of payments and confirm booking dates with Joyce before you leave and bring contact information when you arrive to call Mr. Rose...he'll be expecting you;)!

“Made our wedding magical!!” We planned on getting married at the resort we were staying, but their restrictions on wedding guests staying at the resort or paying a fee lead us to look elsewhere...We came across The Llantrissant and it was truly a blessing that we did. My new husband and I can tell you, from firsthand experience The Llantrissant is an amazing Jamaica experience in lieu of a typical Caribbean resort style vacation and has the best value. About 8 of our family and friends stayed at The Llantrissant, which is also where our ceremony was held. The house is very close to Rick's and is the perfect balance between beach and cliffs (two must-see experiences in Negril). The beach is completely private and beautifully maintained and landscaped. The staff was amazing and made us all feel at home. They all went out of their way to help to make our special day one-of-a-kind. The food was very authentic and delicious...we even had a small reception on the lawn, where the staff helped us set-up, cooked, and even helped clean up afterwards. There were several beautiful spots to choose from to hold the ceremony and the cotton trees and rustic decor provided truly unique wedding photos. We had a total of 16 family and friends who came to the ceremony. I still continue to receive compliments on how perfect of a wedding spot this place was and all of the guests who stayed at Llantrisant still speak of returning... it truly was amazing!! I could not have asked for a better place to share our special day or a more intimate wedding with all the special people in our lives!! Thanks, Craig for all your help!! We hope to return in the near future :)

“Peace and solitude.” Our stay was for 15 days and a very relaxing time it was. Our third and best best time in Jamaica. The cottage is somewhat secluded which is why we enjoyed the stay. Easy access to beach, nightlife and shopping. If relaxing is what you are looking for, this is the place.

About Negril

Negril, Jamaica, is a laid-back Caribbean paradise, with a perfect beach and a decidedly mellow attitude. Known as Seven Mile Beach, the Negril shoreline is among the most beautiful in Jamaica. This long stretch of powdery white sand and verdant green palm trees dips gently into calm turquoise water. On the west end of the beach, the white Negril lighthouse marks the westernmost point in Jamaica. It's relaxing to swim along Negril's tranquil coast, which is filled with tropical fish and marine life. You can explore the bounty of the tropical waters with a snorkeling mask and flippers, or rent a glass bottom boat to give you a tour of the reefs.

Located just west of Jamaica's famous Montego Bay, Negril remains delightfully less developed, without the large skyscrapers and shopping malls that define other famous tourist destinations. It is easy to walk around town without the use of an automobile, though most people find their gait has slowed to a pleasing stroll after a few days in Negril. In the evening, the energy picks up, as Negril's main strip of restaurants and bars is filled with jovial visitors enjoying the warm island night.

Most that come to Negril spend their time relaxing on the beach and hanging out with other vacationers at the many laid-back cafes and bars along the waterfront. However, adventure sport enthusiasts will not be disappointed with the range of activities available in Negril. Here, you'll find plenty of tour operators offering parasailing, kayaking, windsurfing, and snorkeling gear.

In addition to Seven Mile Beach, Negril offers a number of other attractions:

  • Bloody Bay Beach: Although you may never grow tired of Negril's main beach, it is still worth a trip to this lovely and secluded shore.
  • Long Bay Beach Park: Another beautiful yet quiet stretch of sand near Negril, Long Bay Beach Park provides a lovely respite to the energy on Seven Mile Beach.
  • Royal Palm Reserve: Take a walk along the wooden boardwalks in this beautiful 300-acre wildlife preserve where you might spot a large Jamaican crocodile.
  • Booby Cay: Book a charter to take you out to this small but beautiful island, located just off the coast of Negril.
  • Firefly: English writer Noel Coward made his home near Negril, which has now been converted to a museum about his life.
  • Rhodes Hall Plantation: Outside Negril, this former plantation is a great place to learn about Jamaica's colonial past, as well as a nice site for horseback riding.

Dive deep into island life with a spacious vacation rental in Negril, Jamaica. You can easily rent your own piece of paradise, an airy condo near Negril's Seven Mile Beach. Alternately, to soak up the island's unique natural environment, book a cozy cabin in the lush foliage near the shore. For true luxury, there are large mansions and beautiful villas along Negril's coastline, a great way to really get away from it all.

Where the Cliffs and the Beaches Meet
Home away From Home

This was a family trip. It was four adult women and 3 adult men. We stayed September 14-17 and had a wonderful time at Llantrissant. Ms. Anne, Ms. Paulette, Danny, Benjie, Charma and Barry were all very professional and very accommodating, by the time we left they felt like family. Ms. Anne and Ms. Paulette prepared excellent meals. The house was homey and we all felt right at home. It's an older house but very well kept along with the landscape and beach area. The veranda (which is were we spent most of our time while we were at the house) provided for an excellent view. We loved having the private beach area. Charma (and Barry) walked the yard at night and made us feel very safe. I was a little nervous because you really don't know what to expect when you're communicating through email and over the phone. But Craig and afua were patient with me and answered all of my questions and as soon as we got to Llantrissant the staff put us all at ease. They welcomed us with open arms. We look forward to returning in the future!!see more
Beautiful Properties beach rental. Our location between Royalton and Hedonism Res
Heavenly!!!

Point Village is very private and beautiful, all the people staying at the resort were all so kind, it was our first time there as a family, studio was very clean, very we'll kept, everything worked great and the bed/pullout sofa was comfortable, the view from the balcony is gorgeous and peaceful. The beach is by far the best part we loved that it was so private. I would recommend Point Village to everyone, Domingo's was wonderful in helping/guiding us to restaurants, grocery stores etc. There is a 5 min walk to shopping for souvenirs, groceries it is very convenient and safe, everyone we met on our little journeys were so friendly and happy and over all amazing...ya mom, one love!!! We look forward to many more adventures and great times at Point Village,Negril! Taking the 7 mile walk took our breath away, no words to describe its beauty!see more
1 Bedroom Condo in Bloody Bay Negril, Jamaica
What a treat!!!

What a vacation!!!! Sign me up again. I stayed at this condo in December and did not intend to write a review because I truly did not want this place to be overrun with guests. It was the selfish side of me although I was more than happy to email Lisa and Kevin about how wonderful their condo is and how gracious they were as hosts. It was a paradise. I was just about to contact them again about another visit in May when I saw these two horrible reviews and felt I have to come to their defence. I can say from experience that I would not believe what those guests said. There is no way that the pictures did not clearly represent the condo or that Kevin and Lisa did not communicate. From the first email to the phone call and even checking up on Dave and I when we were there. We were greeted by Karen who introduce us to other guests that were at their other place. Karen gave us the tour of the property and the do's and don'ts. Movies, wifi, coffee machine, microwave, toaster, rice cooker, more linens than I could ever use and the icing on the cake for me was the blender. I booked with them because as a regular traveller I rely heavily on reviews and all the positive reviews they had made me feel comfortable. I have to add my review, although late, because I want others to also feel comfortable. You will not be disappointed with these owners and this place, as a matter of fact you will be pleasantly surprised. See you in May Karen!see more
Indikanegril beach house- Negril Jamaica
A tropical home away from home!

I have spent many days, nights and weeks at Indikanegril over the years and it is one of my favorite places on the seven mile beach road. The property is located across the street from the seven mile beach with a bar, jerk stand (Best in the West!) and a small grocery right on property. Anything I could need during my stay is right there for me - it's just so convenient. The house is spacious with plenty of bedrooms and living areas as well as a fully equipped kitchen, which makes this house perfect for families or groups of friends to rent but I have stayed at the downstairs room traveling on my own and that has been fine too. When I want to cook on your own I can do so or if I am lazy I simply ask the cook to fix me up some traditional Jamaican fare while I do absolutely nothing at all. The house has a cozy upper deck that is perfect for enjoying my Blue Mountain coffee in the morning or a fresh coconut or cocktail in the afternoon. I have spent many afternoons not wanting to leave that deck and just totally vegging out :) The family of staff is truly the best and so is the owner Bill Blauer. Staying here gives me a local, more authentic vacation experience than staying at one of the big name hotels and the personal insight that can't be found at an all-inclusive. I will be back again very very soon!see more
Retreat Plantation House, near Negril, Jamaica
Fantastic get-away outside of Negril proper

The Retreat Plantation House is a picturesque villa in "Retreat", Westmoreland Parish, situated on a hillside overlooking acres of sugar cane fields on what is a still operational plantation. Although at times the tranquil surroundings may transport you to another century, the villa is newly refurbished and replete with the necessities of modern living. The three bedrooms easily accommodate 7, and our large group of 9 was quite comfortable throughout our stay. If you are looking for a respite from the gauche touristy atmosphere of the all-inclusive resorts on 7 mile, then Retreat is ready to oblige with a more relaxed, authentic, local Jamaican feel. If your vacation contemplates forays into town and the beach, then Retreat is also well suited (it's a 15-20 min. cab ride to the action, at about $2 USD per person, day rate. Renting a car is also feasible).see more
Moves Cottage in Negril Sleeps 1-6, 2 bedrooms
A great stay

We found Moves Cottage to be comfortable and adequately equipped. For a genuine Jamaican experience in a real community the location was great, with bars and restaurants within walking distance. Our hire car was very useful for seeing the area and access to the main beaches. Less adventurous travellers may find the location a little bohemian, but we thoroughly enjoyed it. Having the friendly owner available on site proved useful and helpful.see more
