“First trip to Jamaica!”
We all had a wonderful time on our vacation. Your home is absolutely wonderful and I could sit on that veranda all day and look out at the sea. The staff was excellent especially Paulette and Miss anne! We figured we would try that first dinner and a breakfast and see how it went, but once we ate the food they cooked we were hooked. We did eat out a few times, but Miss anne and Paulette's cooking was the best we ate! Do not ever lose those two women they are truly a joy! Benjie was a great driver and very helpful, Danny did a good job getting rid of the flotsam that come on shore every morning so we had a clean sand beach and let us watch him feed the sea turtles, Barry and Charma did a good job keeping us safe along with Sam and abby. We missed our dogs and having Sam and abby around was good comfort for my husband and I especially. We did have Benjie take us way down 7 mile beach one day and we walked back from there stopping at a few places to have a drink and eat. While we walked we did look for some of the other places we had looked at to rent. We found most of them and while they looked nice, being on 7 mile beach compared to the privacy of Llantrissant, there was no comparison and we were very happy we made the decision to stay at Llantrissant. It's hard especially if you have never been to the area to know what will be the best option and everyone makes their places sound and look great. Sometimes it works out and sometimes it isn't all that you dreamed it would be. We all had high hopes for Llantrissant and we were not disappointed. We would recommend your home to anyone looking to take a trip to Jamaica and have already talked it up. Hoping to return again. Wish we were there now since the winter weather is definitely coming to Wisconsin now!
“Home away From Home”
This was a family trip. It was four adult women and 3 adult men. We stayed September 14-17 and had a wonderful time at Llantrissant. Ms. Anne, Ms. Paulette, Danny, Benjie, Charma and Barry were all very professional and very accommodating, by the time we left they felt like family. Ms. Anne and Ms. Paulette prepared excellent meals. The house was homey and we all felt right at home. It's an older house but very well kept along with the landscape and beach area. The veranda (which is were we spent most of our time while we were at the house) provided for an excellent view. We loved having the private beach area. Charma (and Barry) walked the yard at night and made us feel very safe. I was a little nervous because you really don't know what to expect when you're communicating through email and over the phone. But Craig and afua were patient with me and answered all of my questions and as soon as we got to Llantrissant the staff put us all at ease. They welcomed us with open arms. We look forward to returning in the future!!
“Made our wedding magical!!”
We planned on getting married at the resort we were staying, but their restrictions on wedding guests staying at the resort or paying a fee lead us to look elsewhere...We came across The Llantrissant and it was truly a blessing that we did. My new husband and I can tell you, from firsthand experience The Llantrissant is an amazing Jamaica experience in lieu of a typical Caribbean resort style vacation and has the best value. About 8 of our family and friends stayed at The Llantrissant, which is also where our ceremony was held. The house is very close to Rick's and is the perfect balance between beach and cliffs (two must-see experiences in Negril). The beach is completely private and beautifully maintained and landscaped. The staff was amazing and made us all feel at home. They all went out of their way to help to make our special day one-of-a-kind. The food was very authentic and delicious...we even had a small reception on the lawn, where the staff helped us set-up, cooked, and even helped clean up afterwards. There were several beautiful spots to choose from to hold the ceremony and the cotton trees and rustic decor provided truly unique wedding photos. We had a total of 16 family and friends who came to the ceremony. I still continue to receive compliments on how perfect of a wedding spot this place was and all of the guests who stayed at Llantrisant still speak of returning... it truly was amazing!! I could not have asked for a better place to share our special day or a more intimate wedding with all the special people in our lives!! Thanks, Craig for all your help!! We hope to return in the near future :)
“Unsurpassed beauty and privacy”
This was our 6th visit to Negril and by far the best. We have stayed in several of the high end properties in Negril but enjoyed Llantrissant the best. The privacy is nowhere else to be found in Negril and we even had massages out of the veranda and seawall. We enjoyed the beach, sea kayaks, turtle pond and shell collecting. The staff is one of the highlights of the property. Ms. Ann and Paulette were wonderful cooks and made us feel very comfortable and welcome. Mr. Benji and Ozzy (the drivers) are great and took us out on several excursions including the YS Falls and the Blue Hole. Even Sam the dog joined us in swimming in the ocean. The house is very historical from an era long gone . I was a little concerned about no air conditioning (since I keep my house 72 degrees) but we were all quite comfortable. There are fans in all the rooms and the house practically sits on the water so there are breezes constantly. Previous reviewers had complained about noise however, we only heard loud music on Sunday which comes from the local community center where the locals gather to hear various DJs. We actually walked over there to hear it. The music ended around 1:00 am so no big deal. We hope to return next year and stay longer. Thanks for a great vacation!!!
“Wonderful Property, Helpful Staff, Amazing Experience”
Thanks for everything, we had a wonderful experience that was directly impacted by the beautiful house/property and quality of the staff. I have to provide extra praise to the staff, who made the experience so much warmer and unique through thier assistance and added local flavor to our trip. I am very hopeful that you now have a repeat customer, and will tell anyone that is ever looking for a Carribean location to consider Llantrissant. Just amazing.
“Old but comfortable.”
My extended family and I stayed at Llantrissant this summer. If you are looking for a luxury residence this is not it but Llantrissant is very comfortable. The staff is great and very attentive especially Paulette. Ann's jerk chicken is a must. Having the beach to yourself was great.
“What an adventure!”
My six year old has been asking me to go back to Jamaica every week for the past five months! The best thing about our stay were the people. The girls who cook amazingly, clean up and provide laughs. The security guard and the driver were all very friendly and helpful. We loved staying in a house with as much history as you can find. The cozy coves and turtle pond, the gardens and the nooks in the house provided a new adventure every minute. What a memorable Christmas. Eating jerk chicken and lobster for lunch...mmm. Thank you for having us. We will be back one of these days...
This property is a gem! Me and 8 of my closest girlfriends stayed here a few weeks back and had the most wonderful time! From the moment we arrived until the morning that we left- nothing but great food, beautiful scenery, a real Jamaican experience, and more laughs than I could possibly fit into this review. I would recommend this place for anyone wanting to get away for a relaxing or adventurous week or weekend! Can't wait to schedule my next visit!
“Llantrissant is a beautiful place with a wonderful staff!”
This was a very, very nice way to spend vacation with family. The house is very accommodating for a large group, is beautiful, open and the private beaches and gardens make it extra special. The entire staff was so wonderful to us and, they were always open to sharing a bit about themselves, their country and culture. I felt like we were family to them by the time we left. The house is close to the supermarket and shopping, which is a little tricky walking on the road to get to there. We usually went shopping for food daily however, the staff was available and willing to do our shopping for us and occasionally accompanied us. I highly recommend the Llantrissant, Beachcliff Resort for a wonderful Jamaican experience. It was especially nice to have the freedom to go out on our own and explore the area and visit with the people of Jamaica.
Response from the owner Thank you and you will always be welcome back.
“A Magical Place”
We've stayed at Lllantrissant three times; once just the two of us, the other two times with a houseful of friends. It is our favorite vacation destination and we try to visit every year. The staff has always been courteous and very professional and Miss Betty is an amazing cook. Can't wait to go back!
