HOKIANGA HAVEN is nestled on the Omapere beachfront opposite the historical Hokianga Harbour entrance with the magnificent North Head dune, Niniwa predominant.

This spectacular harbour provided welcome shelter for the earliest Maori navigators and colonial adventurers.

You too can come and delight in this inspirational landscape.

The self-contained Studio offers quality accommodation with private bathroom, simple cooking facility in a delightful ground floor garden setting with direct access to the beach. There is also a Queen bedroom available for an additional rent for friends or family travelling together. This also has its own independent entrance and immediate access to the beach.

It is within walking distance of shops and restaurants. Recreational activities include bush walks, swimming, sand boarding, fishing, horse riding, harbor cruises, art galleries, museum and historical sites.

Response from the owner Yes it was a shame about the New Years revellers Fortunately that was a one off event and the storm whilst predicted was very unseasonal and unpreventable. Thankfully we're back in radiant sunshine now.

Response from the owner True the accommodation was not fully prepared when Johan arrived. True also that I'd had a virus for several days and was not on top form. Because of this I was most apologetic when Johan arrived and offered to finish preparations straight away. However Johan suggested as they were just dropping their bags then going for a walk and out to dinner I could finish off whilst they were away. A friend who had brought dinner over for us assisted me and everything was perfectly prepared for the guests return. So, it's a little disappointing that this has not been acknowledged but apologies once again it is most regrettable that you were unable to enjoy our little piece of paradise
