“Absolutely perfect place to stay for our wedding weekend” Absolutely perfect place to stay for our wedding weekend. The boys enjoyed soaking in the spa before getting dressed in to their wedding suits. We enjoyed the little notes left by the Hosts, Lyn and alan, making our stay more comfortable. We hope to come back to celebrate wedding anniversaries to come!! Thanks a lot!

City-Bush Retreat: Fully Self-catering Private, Serviced Apartment

“A Serene and Magnificent Hideaway” This wonderful apartment, just minutes away from auckland, is our favorite hideaway for settling into New Zealand life following a grueling 14 hour flight from our home country. There is nothing the hosts won't do to ensure a comfortable and warm welcome and ongoing stay (including a fresh supply of "basics" and treats in the refrigerator and cupboard). Situated very privately at the top of an upscale home, this apartment is very tastefully decorated and has all the modern conveniences needed for a "home away from home". When we visit City Bush, we like to eat in and dine out in equal proportions. The small village of Titirangi, within walking distance, or a 5 minute drive from City Bush boasts a few excellent restaurants, or we travel the 20 minutes to the viaduct downtown or to Ponsonsby to take in some of the excellent fare offered by those areas. But we find it truly difficult to leave this accommodation once we arrive. It is the perfect place to unwind. It literally feels as though you are in a "cabin in the woods". Surrounded by the lush, local vegetation (including a commanding view of an ancient kauri tree) and the ongoing sounds of birdsong, it is a perfect retreat.

“Cute, convenient and cosy.” This was a comfortable and convenient unit in a quiet location. Well suited for myself and 2 children. There was a lovely shared garden. This is relatively close to the beach and Milford shops. Ilan was very helpful and accessible to sort out issues. I would happily stay here again rather than stay in a motel.

“Fabulous Home - Perfect Location on the North Island, New Zealan” What a fabulous home. This one story home is modern, light, airy, beautifully furnished and has a fully equipped kitchen. Beautiful decking off the main living area and 2 of the bedrooms offer fabulous views of the surrounding mountains and vineyards. We loved sitting on the deck, sipping a glass of the local Sauvignon Blanc, eating the local cheeses while enjoying the view and amazing privacy. We did not want to leave. The home is conveniently located within easy driving distance to the towns of Warkworth and Matakana, and close to beautiful National Parks, hiking and beaches. We will definitely return and will recommend this 5 star private home to all of our friends!

About Auckland

Located on the North Island, Auckland is the New Zealand's biggest urban and suburban area. It is a cosmopolitan city with a variety of arts, culture, dining, entertainment, and shopping opportunities, as well as exquisite surroundings. It features beautiful harbors and excellent beaches in the east and rugged mountains and farming areas to the west. Known as the City of Sails, water sports and boating are a huge part of Auckland life. Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy both of those things as well as hiking, biking, and mountain climbing while nature lovers will fall for all aspects of the landscape in addition to the amazing wildlife. There is something for every type of traveler in Auckland; the only challenge is you have to decide what to do first.

Some of the attractions you will want to experience include:

  • The Auckland Zoo: This zoo is celebrated for being one of the most progressive on the planet and has been awarded several national and international recognitions for environmental excellence. It has over 155 species and over 700 animals.
  • The Sky Tower: If you are looking for spectacular views of the city, head here. This celebrated structure is the Southern Hemisphere's tallest and provides bird's eye sights of the glistening harbor and several landmarks.
  • City Sky Casino: This massive complex includes two casinos, several restaurants, bars, the famous Sky Tower, and more. There are a variety of table games for players to partake in, including Black Jack, Baccarat, Jai Sai, and Roulette. There are over 1,000 slots and gaming machines too.
  • Rangitoto Island: This volcanic island offers amazing views of the summit of its cone-shaped mountain. While you are here, go bird watching, fishing, swimming, hiking, or simply enjoy the colorful flora.
  • Cornwall Park: This urban park provides a great escape from the bustling city. It features beautiful oak lined streets, winding walking paths, and views of grazing sheep and cattle. It is a great way to spend an afternoon just relaxing and taking in the picturesque surroundings.
  • Auckland Harbour Bridge: This structure was originally constructed in 1959. It is an icon of the city. Visitors are permitted to partake in a unique bridge-climbing adventure too.

Culture lovers come for the museums in Auckland since there are a diverse range of them to choose from while shoppers find Auckland markets among the best. Auckland is amazing place to make yourself at home so be sure to book a vacation rental for when you are here. Whether you rent an apartment in the city center or a home or villa near the countryside, you are bound to fall in love with this beautiful area.

XSPOT eco-bach for two in Tryphena, wide seaviews
Looking to really get away from it all??

My partner and I stayed at the X-spot for a few days. The property is impeccably maintained, very open and airy. The views are truly second to none! The place is also very quiet and relaxing, remote and enchanting. Hilde and Roger were excellent hosts- helpful and inobtrusive. I would highly recommend the X-spot to anyone who is really looking to get away from it all.see more
3 Bedroom Seaside Cottage in Devonport AUCKLAND NZ
comfortable, warm and a great location

A well appointed cottage located very close to Cheltenham Beach and not too far from Devonport. Quiet and warm (for a relatively chilly winter spell for auckland. Loved the local art on the walls. I needed somewhere to stay for four 'separately sleeping' adults and this was the only place I found that could do it. the two main bedrooms (double and twin or double)were spacious, one with large on-suite. The third room was tiny but perfectly adequate. A bit hard to find once in the street be good to add a 'rata cottage' sign on the letterbox.see more

Bush Sand and Sea B&B Auckland, New Zealand
Wonderful location, beautiful surroundings, excellent cabin and

We stayed for 2 nights after landing in auckland and wanted to get out of the city immediately. We selected this because of the location and stunning scenery with walking and outdoor activities close to hand. We prefer smaller (luxury)self catering /B&Bs; in unique locations and like to 'do our own thing' and cater for ourselves but also meet the locals and this certainly allowed us to do all of these things. The cabin was excellent with everything you needed and set up for relaxing and enjoyment of the surrounding bush areas and views with high quality appointments. The hosts were wonderful and really helped to make our stay easy and enjoyable. They set us up with food and wine so we didn't have to worry about shopping etc which was much appreciated. Fresh juice and fresh bread was on our doorstep in the morning. We were invited over for drinks and nibbles before dinner which we really enjoyed and learnt some history of the area and their property and then went for an escorted walk through their rainforest walking trails to view the glow worms at the creek that runs through their property. Had a very memorable stay and would go back next time we visit this part of the world.see more
