“Glorious views and relaxing” This is one of the best places to stay in Fiji. The views are glorious and the place is neat and clean. The staff is very caring and co-operative. We fell in love with the place and likely to go back- this time with a few more friends and family.

The House of Bamboo, worlds top 10 infinity pool

Savusavu villa

2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 5

“Privacy with incredible views!” The House of Bamboo has dreamy views that constantly keep you pinching yourself to make sure you really are there! The home is peaceful, private and comfortable. Brad & Therese caringly maintain this immaculate home so that when you arrive you feel as if you are their first guest. There is oodles to do from bathing in the private pool, reading in the hammock, watching a dvd, or feasting on your purcases from the market. Savussavu town with restaurants and shops is a short taxi ride away or a really good walk. The House of Bamboo is a place that we constantly dream about returning to.

Vakaviti Kalokalo - Fijian Star

Sigatoka villa

2 bedrooms / 3 bathrooms / sleeps 10

“Home away from home” This is an an excellent find on the Coral Coast. From the booking process, to the service provided by the staff, it was a wonderful experience. It is close to supermarket, servo, restaurant, bottle shop. There is also a hire car in the servo if you want to explore the area. Fresh fruits and vegies are abundant in little road side markets and if you need a fe luxuries, there is the Naviti resort and Hideaway resort where you can purchase some last minute things like sensible shows to wear to the waterfall at Biausevu. However, I recommend you pack this yourself when you travel as they are at resort prices. Sigatoka is 20 minutes away if you want something else that the local supermarket doesnt stock but you wont need to. You are treated like royalty here away from the hustle and bustle of busy resorts. Take advantage of having a lovo cooked meal by Lolo the housekeper, her husband who is a chef at the Warwick resort and the gardner. Most delicious meal and I would recommend you do the shopping for this yourself. Ask Lolo for what to buy. Lolo also cooked us amazing Fijian meals. She really is a gem. I recommend this for a quite laid back holiday.

The Pod House with marble pool, complete privacy

Savusavu villa

1 bedroom / 1 bathroom / sleeps 2

“8 nights of Pure Perfect Bliss!!! Exceeded our Expectations!” On arrival to the Pod House, I was blown away by awesome the property was. It exceeded what we expected. It looked like this was a home right out of a Home Decor magazine. Very well decorated, giving you the Fijian feeling. The King size bed was very comfortable with high grade linens. Spacious shower with separate toilet and double sinks were a plus. Had Pure Fiji toiletries to shower for a few days. The kitchen was as well stocked as my kitchen at home. As my husband & I love to cook, t this was very important to us. We bought our Fresh Fish / Lobster, Fruits & Vegetable at the Local Market which is a few miles down the road. We even had a barbecue to use. We did take a few siestas on the Daybed by the pool... was very private. As it was winter there, the pool was too cold for us Floridians to use, but was lovely to look at. We could not get enough of the spectacular views in front of the home. You could see miles and miles of the bay with an extinct volcano in the background. Every night there were spectacular sunsets to watch as you sip on a glass of wine from the veranda. Easy walk to Cousteau Resort where you can dine and take Dive trips if you like. There also a famous snorkeling Coral Bed called Split Rock that you can walk to. Taxis are abundant and cheap to use. We did rent a car to explore more of the Island. I recommend this only if you are use to driving on the left side of the road. As my husband was there for business, he needed to have High Speed Internet. The complimentary Wifi was great to have & worked well. The Fijian people are the happiest people in the world! Loved how they say "Bula" with a smile everytime! I highly recommend that you do not stay on the main Island - go to Vanua Levu to experience true Fiji! A big thank you to Brad & Therese for offering us such spectacular accomodations for our stay in Fiji!! Would love to return one day...

Coral Cove Beach Front Private Villa

Sigatoka villa

6 bedrooms / 5 bathrooms / sleeps 15

“Second Stay...still perfect!” This was our second stay at this wonderful hide away. Everything was again, just perfect. The children had a great time, we were spoilt by the staff and Patrick the owner. He went out of his way to ensure our stay was as perfect as the first. This is the only place to stay in Fiji. Private, great value for money and nothing was too much trouble. We have booked again for our third stay next year.....can't wait!

SigaSiga Sands Plantation Villa

Savusavu villa

2 bedrooms / 1 bathroom / sleeps 6

“Truly a hidden paradise found” My husband and I had stayed at Siga Siga Sands Plantation Villa twice prior to June 2013 and enjoyed the property and surrounds so much we took very discerning american friends with us for a month in June 2013. We had a fabulous time. They were keen snorkelers and said the reef out front of property was the best snorkeling they had ever experienced when compared to the Caribeean, Mexico or Great Barrier Reef. The property, I believe, boasts by and far the best white sandy beach in the whole Savusavu area and even at high tide you still have sand on which to enjoy relaxing on the beach loungers or in the double hammock. The Blue Lagoon (for swimming) is a short walk away and is great because you can swim any time of day irrespective of tide level. The grounds are immaculate and so colourful with the many tropical trees, shrubs and flowers. The villa allows for self catering but the Indian food provided by the housekeeper is incredible and to be recommended. Furnishing reflect the feel of the "bygone ere" of the large copra plantations. Beds are extremely comfortable and everything is there that you need plus wifi is an added bonus, as is air-con if and when you need it. We cannot recommend Siga Siga Plantation Villa highly enough and will keep returning. Our host Gene, and his warm, friendly staff make you feel like family. Come see for yourself.

Totoka Kalou (Fijian for Beautiful Spirit)

Sigatoka house

2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 10

““Great location with ocean views, breeze & sound - Just fantasti” We loved this spacious villa perched on the hill overlooking the coral beach and sea. My wife, brother & kids missed it soon as we left. Every day we loved the breathtaking views from the balcony and could not stop to think how lucky we were stay in Fiji at this location. We appreciated the small things that were there ready to be used like tea bags, milk, eggs, bread, washing powder & liquids etc. Clean towels, bed sheets/cover including the loo rolls! The host has been thoughtful preparing this place for guests for an easy & comfortable stay. The local care taker Ramesh who was on-call is very helpful sorting out any issues in the villa, helped us to organise island/village tours, horse riding for the kids. His advise for places to visit helped us to plan the stay. His mum's curry and roti was great and glad that we had it the first night we stayed. My daughters enjoyed playing with his daughter Dipasha & her cousin Samina. As residents from Maui Bay we used the pool facilities at Warwick & Hideaway resorts with no fees charged. Both were great! The villa has no internet service. Used local Vodafone mobile phone sim with enough voice/data limit. Mobile reception is good, no issues to connect 3G/4G service. During and after a session of rains we found a few centipedes in the bathroom & bedrooms. Ants, moths, flies were expected in a tropical country so insect killer handy. Some centipedes crawled onto cloths and luggage bags. Check cloths for bugs/crawlies in the cupboard and when repacking the luggage. We drove from Nadi international to Maui Bay. Watch out for stay dogs in the road and occasional wandering cows or horses. The hosts provided a turn by turn direction so it was easy to find the villa. The drive way leading to the villa is steep so car is essential for frequent visits. If we come to Fiji again we will stay at Totoka Kalou. Its a place for families with kids to relax and enjoy. You will certainly not be disappointed and be pleasantly surprised.

Private Holiday House - up to 30% discount - Amazing Accom

Vunaniu house

4 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 10

“Nice house but somewhat remote location” There is no question that this house is amazing. The design is well thought out and the views are breathtaking. The owner is also very attentive to visitors with quick response time to any initiated contact. My only issue is that the location description is not exactly accurate. If you do not have a car, the location is a little remote. Just to get down the hill is a 15 minute walk and somewhat strenuous going up. There are only 2 restaurants within walking distance and still somewhat of a hike. To eat at a nice restaurant is easily a 20 minute drive. If you choose to eat in your meals, the nearby supermarket which is more of a 20 minute walk then 5 minutes, is really more a convenience store than supermarket. A true grocery store will require a 30 minute taxi ride to town. Using the recommended taxi service, the housekeepers husband, was not cheap. While we were a larger group, a party of 7, we found ourselves paying about $50 AUD for a round trip ride to dinner or the store. Our ride to the airport and a snorkeling trip were closer to $200 AUD. I would certainly recommend this home but would suggest you have a car!

HEAVENSDOOR|FIJI - Million Dollar View

Sigatoka villa

5 bedrooms / 4 bathrooms / sleeps 18

“Experience the real Fiji!” Our party of 9 adults and 1 child were in Fiji attending a wedding of our brother at one of the top resorts. We chose Heavensdoor as it would accommodate our entire family and was budget conscience. I'm so glad we did! Not only did the villa accommodate us all very comfortably, but we found that had we stayed at one of the larger resorts we would of had a very different experience, one that really would not of shown us what Fiji is really about. Our first impression of Heavens door was the hill. Although daunting, especially with a rental car packed full of adults and luggage, the views make it all worthwhile. We were recommended 4WD vehicles by the owners and made it comfortably up in 2WD even with challenging weather conditions. The views at the villa are amazing, with 180deg Coral coast views. Each morning we were welcomed by sights of the locals fishing, as well as the gorgeous blue ocean dotted with boats. The gardens were immaculate, and are a credit to Scott and the hard working staff. Our first afternoon at the villa was "weather-challenged" with the first big storm of the season just as we were unloading our luggage. Not only did Scott try to warn us of the impending storm with the cell phone that accompanies the propoerty but he also personally made sure by coming up the hill and letting us know the ins and outs of the property before the weather hit. We found Scotts knowledge of the area of great use, and loved that he was willing to have a chat about all our activities and give us some pointers. Our Fijian feast was beautiful and tasted great. Having some picky eaters in the group, no one left hungry which is testament to the great flavours and fresh produce. The presentation was beautiful and it was nice to come home to a hot meal after a day of exploring. As a whole our experience in Fiji was made so much better staying at Villa Lomagi. We were free to experience the local markets, travel to waterfalls, and see what Fiji is all about.

Bayside Bure.....beachy living at a peachy price!!

Savusavu cottage

1 bedroom / 1 bathroom / sleeps 2

“Superb value for money” I agree with all the great reviews this place has already received. We stayed here for 5 nights and loved it. The owners make sure that you will enjoy your stay. This place has everything you need - from mosquito coils to tupperware containers for your left-overs! We appreciated having basic supplies such as salt & pepper, oil, butter, milk and coffee that were just enough for our stay. The bure is located on a dead end road (Cousteau Resort at the end of the road), just 5km out of Savusavu. The last part is not tar sealed, but okay without a 4 WD. The views from the deck are wonderful and you can choose from two different outdoor areas to sit. There's even a BBQ. We loved the shower that you can almost convert into an outdoor shower by opening the outside door. The only thing that might be a downside to some people is that Bayside bure only has two single beds that your can't join, as opposed to a double or queen/king bed. However, this way your partner won't pull away your sheets ;-) Free wifi is also an added bonus. Oh, the compendium lists a local lady who offers massages at a great price (FJ$50 for an hour) and it's absolutely worth it - she comes to the bure with her massage table - truely relaxing! If we ever travel back to Vanua Levu, this will be our first choice!

Coral Palms Exclusive Beachfront Private Villa/Resort

Sigatoka villa

7 bedrooms / 7 bathrooms / sleeps 24

“Memorable 40th Birthday In Paradise” I chose Coral Palms to celebrate my 40th birthday with a large group of friends, 19 of us ranging in ages from 4 - 43 years. Coral Palms met the needs of every single one of us. The house, the entire property is amazing. The suites are large with lovely ensuites. The pool, sun lounges, and outdoor decking area with couches, swinging chair and outdoor dining table were where we loved to spend most of our days and nights relaxing. The beach and lagoon were simply stunning. White sand leading to warm, torquise water perfect for snorkelling and discovering the pretty fish and coral below the surface. The staff at Coral Palms were extremely helpful and accommodating without being intrusive. Shereen, Jabina, Bibi and Indar were just lovely. Our daily muffins were a hit with adults and kids alike. Our evening meals (all cooked by the house girls) were delicious and I highly recommend paying the small fee to have the girls cook your dinner. The pool is always kept clean as are the gardens and grounds. We all loved our massages, manicure and pedicures. The hair braiding was a real hit with our little girls too. We really enjoyed the experience of visiting the local school. The hermit crab race was a lot of fun. And our finale bonfire night with fireworks was the perfect end to our memorable stay. I highly recommend pre ordering meat and alcohol with Elaine the owner. It is very good quality and it was so easy having it all waiting for us on arrival. A special mention must go out to Elaine who was always happy to answer any question or enquiry we had along the way. Her assistance ensured everything went smoothly leading up to and during our stay. The resident care takers during our stay were Mike and Cheryl. What a lovely, welcoming couple who made sure our stay was enjoyable and issue free. It was a real comfort to us to know they were right next door if anything went wrong, which thankfully it did not. We absolutely loved our stay at Coral Palms and have so many happy memories of our stay. I would recommend it to anyone wanting a luxury holiday in Fiji.

Villa Takali

Pacific Harbour villa

5 bedrooms / 6 bathrooms / sleeps 14

“Fiji's best piece of private paradise!” For starters our trip was last minute, as in I booked it the day before arrival. The owner and staff went out of their way to get it ready for us and given the size of the property this is no small task. Upon arrival the staff was beyond helpful, friendly and made us feel more than welcome throughout our stay. Each suite is set up to be its own private sanctuary. A property of this magnitude was an unexpected delight as I found nothing else even close in comparison. Villa Takali in itself would be reason enough to travel to Fiji. Thanks again for incredibly hospitality!

“Beautiful, oceanfront, tropical setting” Stayed in Coco Bure 5 nights april 2013 and thoroughly enjoyed it. Beautiful, well maintained, expansive grounds right out to the ocean. Excellent clear water snorkeling in lagoon straight out with beautiful hard coral and great variety of fish. A bit of a challenge to get fairly calm water conditions but interesting snorkeling close in at high tide anytime. Very close to Koro sun divers for diving or off boat snorkeling. Good hiking trails through rainforest. Plenty of fruit bats. Friendly resident Care-taking family and gene is a good host. Very short walk to bus stop. Just a great place to relax and unwind.

Tides Reach Resort, All Inclusive

Matei villa

“Excellent” We left Tides today with some sadness in that all good things must come to end. Over many years I have stayed at a lot of resorts in Fiji; Vomo, Tokoriki, Cousteau, Paradise Cove, Treasure, Plantation, Castaway, etc.. What pleased me so much was that Tides is right up there with the best and I would say in some aspects “The best”. Your attention to spacious furniture, layout, room space, beautiful bath area, bedding, walk in robe & consideration of the little things – makes the accommodation certainly the best (better than Vomo). I was highly impressed. Meals- very good- good selection, good choices, good flexibility to change if required. I would have said “excellent” if not for the last 2 days, where the chicken on 2 occasions was a bit well overcooked and dry. But I am being picky and 7 days at 3 meals a day + desserts x 2 , being 33/35 meals provided at very high quality – is excellent in itself. The beach, the view is outstanding, the activities you also offer are great options. But what brings it all together is the people - importantly the team of people you have – George, William, Maria, Rosalina, Nui, Sika, etc….top notch and “real people you can trust”. I will be back, highly impressed and LOVED IT.
