Historic properties have been lovingly built with treasures from the longtime family home that weathered 40 years on this same site in Southern Shores. Beams from the original property accent the master bedroom ceiling and the warmth of the tongue in groove paneling is original paneling from the family property resanded and refinished! Spacious rooms with Australian Cypress hardwood floors finish the “Southern Comfort by the Sea” ambiance that will send you home rested and refreshed! Den offers extra space for stretching out and relaxing. Love the ocean breeze and the great outdoors? 1700 square feet of deck surround this luxury beach “cottage” on two levels for you to find the sun or to relax any time of the day! Even the top-level deck has a 10-foot-high roof, making a shaded deck alongside the full sun deck. This allows the sun and shade lovers to spend leisurely days together soaking up the beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean. Simple elegance is offered in each bedroom with high quality bedding and beautiful linen. Soft hot tub on the mid-level deck offers more comfort than the traditional hard hot tub seating. Bathroom with roll under counters, shower with hand-held shower and wide hallways make this a great place for all family members. Wet bar/kitchenette in den gives extra room for food storage in the second refrigerator. “Klein Cottage” is located just north of the Ocean Boulevard split from Hwy 12 for a quiet street for kids to ride bikes, and for relaxing with a morning jog. There is a ramp to the dune top deck so no one misses the action on the beach!

Beds are made prior to your arrival, and we provide a starter supply of toilet paper, bathroom soap, paper towels, and dishwasher detergent.

Response from the manager Dear Holtzmans, Thanks for your review of the Klein Cottage. We appreciate your feedback. We work very hard under tight time lines to prepare the properties for our next guests, and sometimes a few things are missed from time to time, we apologize that the bed linens were not placed on the one bed properly, and that you found some sand on the floors. Just so you are aware we do have housekeeping staff standing by on check in day until late in the evening to ensure that these types of things are taken care of right away. Our records she that we sent a cleaning inspector by your house on the day of your arrival to ensure everything was to your satisfaction. Unfortunately the person that our inspector spoke to said everything was fine or we would have rectified these items right away. On your next visit please don't feel like you need to settle for less...give us a shout and let us know what's wrong so we can correct it right away! All the best from the beach!
