Description
Thank you for your interest in our Hidden Dunes condo. This is a family-owned property, and it has been a dream come true for all of us. We use it anytime it's not rented and our schedules allow--so we maintain it to our standards, not just as a rental.
We chose Hidden Dunes for many reasons. It is a unique resort, gated with lush landscaping, reflecting pools and fountains, 2 swimming pools and hot tubs, great tennis courts (and now pickleball, too!), and of course a private stretch of the world's most beautiful beach. We're located just 1/2 mile east of the Silver Sands Outlet Center and 1 mile west of Grande Boulevard which offers lots of shops and restaurants, Publix, a movie theater, and frequent outdoor entertainment. There's no better place to be in Destin.
Our unit is a beautiful 3-to-4 minute walk to the beach--through the resort, so there are no roads to cross...or in the summertime there is a free shuttle if you prefer.
As you enter your cottage, you realize that you do not have to live on coconuts and bananas to enjoy this tropical setting. You have everything you need for a group of eight to bask in the beauty that is Destin, Florida. The beach, the sun, sand, pools, and six clay tennis courts are waiting for you.
The living room area is comfortable to sit and enjoy the stereo, cable TV or a DVD, but you may rather enjoy the evening at the patio table on the screened balcony nestled overlooking the lush, quiet foliage of the beautifully landscaped grounds. The nearby fountain will lull you to total relaxation. The window pass-through from the balcony allows you to ask someone in the kitchen to hand you a snack or meal, that is, if anyone is in the kitchen instead of enjoying the balcony with you.
If you enjoy cooking up a barbeque for the gang, the grill is just below the balcony and the kitchen has all of the dishes and utensils that you will need. Of course, there is a variety of restaurants within a couple of miles, so you only have to cook if you want. Whatever you eat in this relaxing setting, you have the choice of sitting on a barstool at the counter or communing at the large dining table. You can choose whatever you like, after all, this is YOUR vacation.
You will have three bedrooms and baths, one of which is a fun loft, where kids of all ages will enjoy the spiral staircase. The loft sleeps four in their own beds and has a full bath for convenience. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed and its own television with DVD, not to mention a private bath and sitting area. Use of the chess set is, of course, optional. The second bedroom is tucked away for those needing some quiet time to read, watch television, or take a little nap.
Once you have enjoyed this wonderful vacation cottage, you will want to return often to get away from the stresses of your day-to-day life. YOU DESERVE IT!
