Response from the owner Pipers Cottage is advertised as having a bathroom, the more detailed description is clear, stating that there is only a shower. Although there is a bath, the hot tank is too small to provide enough hot water for a bath. The shower is an instant heat electric unit. There is certainly no intention on the owners part to mislead holiday makers into thinking that there is a bath with enough hot water to lie in. As owners of Pipers Cottage, we are upset and distressed by your interpretation of the description of the facilities on offer. In this day and age a “Bathroom” is widely accepted as meaning a room which has a toilet, washbasin and a bath or shower provided. Luckily the beautiful surroundings, nestling at the bottom of the Cairngorms, allow for guests to luxuriate in a six-person hot tub whilst taking in the fantastic scenery surrounding the garden. Investigation into the allegation of dirty laundry found that some of the bed linen had been marked by laundering fluids and become stained. Some wear and tear has to be expected with constantly laundered sheets and pillowcases. The cottage is inspected between lets and carefully prepared for the next guests. Routine maintenance is carried out by the owner and any further repairs are attended to as soon as possible after they have been reported. There is never any intention to mislead clients and we wish to remain transparent at all times.
