Description
Molino la Ratonera is a holiday retreat set in a watermill in a lush river valley. The location of this mill, in the heart of rural inland Andalucia, southern Spain, is within easy reach of Granada with the Alhambra and Albaicin, Malaga, Seville and Cordoba and yet its rural situation provides a haven for wildlife and an excellent environment for walking, birdwatching or relaxing.
We offer a choice of rental properties for short breaks or longer holidays of any duration on a self-catering basis. El Granero is an apartment in the location of the old grain store, above the mill room of the lower mill. It has two bedrooms and a fully equipped bathroom with bath, shower and bidet. The spacious sitting room/dining area and kitchen are open plan and lead on to a large covered terrace overlooking the waterfall. The accommodation is equipped for up to four guests with one double and one twin bedroom.
The terrace is a beautiful place to sit and watch the varied wildlife in the river and woods.Its position, built into the rock and close to the river ensures that this house stays refreshingly cool in the hot summer months.

Response from the owner We are so glad that we were able to provide such a peaceful and relaxing holiday. The reason it is so peaceful at Molino la Ratonera is that there is no tarmac road with the traffic that this would bring. In an average year we have around 50 families stay here, all of whom hire regular saloon cars, but we accept that some guests will be less confident driving on a gravel track. We are pleased that this did not detract too much from the enjoyment of your holiday.
