“Lovely house, very helpful and friendly owner, great situation f” It was an easy drive from Malaga airport to our villa which was spotlessly clean, the fridge was stocked with the basics and we could not fault the welcome we received from the owner. If we wished she would even cook an evening meal for us - fantastic seafood and homemade sausages or homemade pork pies were on the menu profered aswel as authentic home prepared and cooked spanish food - better than we get at home! The villa is a lovely white washed house with a large terrace, pool and extensive views over the countryside down to the sea. Great for me to sit and use my water colour paints have a glass or two of wine and watch the sun go down, Inside it is comfortably furnished in a modern spanish style with lovely tiled floors and rugs and a well equipped kitchen. The villa is a short drive from the town which has a thriving market and lots of shops and restaurants, there is lots ot see and do in the local towns and although Malaga is a modern city the old part is fasinating and definately worth a visit. There are lots of different sandy beaches to choose from with restaurants aplenty. We enjoyed a stroll around the nearby yacht marina and would have hired a motorboat for a day out but we ran out of time. This is an unspoilt part of Spain which the tourist is yet to find so the beaches are not packed and you can really feel you are sampling the authentic spanish lifestyle. The best thing about the holiday was the spanish people who were friendly and welcoming and the least best bit was having to go home and leave this great place (and I suppose trying to find somewhere to park on market day!)
