Description
Perfect location in peaceful surroundings with hot tub.on request for € 15 per day.
There are two houses, main house with a living room, kitchen, bedroom with a double bed, small bedroom with a bunk for a child and WC.
The other house is on the side with one two bedroom (one in April)
The cottage, located near Reykjavik, is ideally situated amongs Iceland's most popular attractions, 40 min drive from Reykjavík. Many of the attractions are within 1 hour drive from the cottage, eg the Þingvellir national park, that is on the way to Gullfoss and Geysir
The cottage is family owned and is in a beautiful surroundings next to Medalfellsvatn lake with spectacular views.
The cottage is next to the mountain Esja in a tiny farming and outdoors community.
The cottage accommodates up to 6 adults. (pls ask for details)
Hot tub is optional, € 15 per day, please ask if interested, not included in normal price.
You can relax in the quiet nature or go:
- hiking around the lake, the fjord or in the mountains

“Lovely cottage, stunning location, very friendly & helpful owners - perfect!”
We enjoyed 4 nights in this lovely "home from home" which has everything you need for a perfect self-catering base to explore all the magic that Iceland has to offer. Well-equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, spacious but cosy sitting room with log fire, and wonderful hot tub on the balcony with stunning views. Haukur and Anna Lisa are lovely hosts who went above and beyond to be friendly and helpful, with lots of advice on places to visit, eat, shop, etc. The location next to the lake and mountains is amazing, and just far enough off the beaten track to be quiet and peaceful, without being too far from many of the major attractions. We cannot recommend this lovely place highly enough, and we hope to stay there again some time, perhaps with family and for longer. It really is an absolute gem! Thank you so much Haukur and Anna Lisa PS I really love all the "rock houses" in the garden!

Lovely place, you will need a 4 x 4 in the winter months. Cottage very nice, would say it's a 4 birth with 2 x small children, older kids wouldn't fit in the little bunks.
