Cottage in Iceland spectacular views with hot tub
Mosfellsbaer cottage
3 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 6
“Tranquil cottage with an amazing view” We stayed here in February and had a really special time. The children were wowed by all the things Iceland has to offer, geysers, spouting steam vents, frozen waterfalls, lava fields, volcanoes etc, but probably one of their best memories will have been playing around the frozen lake by the cottage. We loved the view of it from the cottage every morning. We also had the Northern Lights coming out to play while we stood on the verandah, a wonderful experience for all of us. We did have some winter Icelandic weather to deal with but Anna Lisa and Haukur looked after us wonderfully and made sure that we were all fine. They looked up any information we needed, welcomed us warmly and our kids loved them! We are definitely going back, maybe in the summer where we'll have a heatwave(!!)

“awesome” This apartment is located right downtown, at 2 min by walk to the harbor, 5min from the city center. I would highly recommend this place as the location and the kindness of the owners makes it the perfect spot for a visit of Reykjavik. The decoration of the apt is refined and makes it an enjoyable place to have a rest between two excursions.

“Land of Fire, Ice and the cottage with three beagles.” We were greeted by Brynja upon our arrival and immediately we knew we had made the right decision. Before setting off for Iceland we had planned our itinerary pretty meticulously but Brynja provided us with enough ideas for places to visit and things to do to keep us occupied for a month. The cottage itself was delightful: well appointed on the shores of an Icelandic Fjord and with views of some of some of the most breathtaking scenery. Inside the cottage was no less impressive; spotlessly clean and complete with more all the comforts of home. We had chosen the cottage because of its location - an hour from Reykjavik - and had made plans to get all our shopping from the city. There is, however, a small shop 5 minutes drive from the cottage. Our stay in Iceland was amazing thanks in no small part to having this incredible home away from home.

“Great place for family” Wonderful location with amazing views. Cozy, roomy cottage with lots of comfortable beds. A couple of snags with washer, dryer, but may have been we didn't know how to use. Would definitely come back and preferably for longer stay.

Bright, Spacious Apartment in Central Reykjavik
Reykjavik apartment
2 bedrooms / 1 bathroom / sleeps 6
“Nice apartment in a good location.” Great location, only 10 minutes' walk from the BSI bus station, and 10 minute walk from the main street in the city and a 3 minute walk from the local swimming pool. The owner was very friendly, we only saw him for check in, when he very helpfully collected us from the bus terminal. The apartment comes with a few basics, such as toilet paper, aluminium foil, washing up liquid, dishwasher power & washing power (there is a washing machine and drying room). This all saves money when you are only staying for a few days. The apartment is nicely presented, except from the bathroom which is very small and looking a bit tired. The bedrooms could also do with better curtains/blinds to keep out the 24 hour daylight. The rooms are completely white, and with the 1 inch gaps down the side of the blinds, the rooms we completely light all night long (remember there is 24 hours of light in Iceland in the summer). This made it a challenge getting our kids to sleep. The apartment was nice and clean, and everything worked well. It was very warm, and with ample hot water (if a little smelly, but that is the same everywhere in Iceland!).

Akureyri Holiday Apartment with beautiful views
Akureyri apartment
3 bedrooms / 1 bathroom / sleeps 7
“Bright, Spacious, and attractive” We are a family from the us who drove from Reykjavik to akureyri to stay for several days. This lovely apartment, brand new, was a joy to stay in. The owner has thought of so many things and so the apartment is well stocked, attractively decorated, and has great blinds for the windows. The area, just above and beyond the downtown is 1 minute away from "Bonus" where you will shop for your groceries. It is very quite, next door to a golf course, and has immediate access to the road that takes you both toward the east for travelto waterfalls and hiking and also back southwest to Reykjavik. Staying in an apartment is so reasonable because dining out in akureyri is so very expensive and this apartment has all you need to cook a meal. Lots of closet space is awesome. We really enjoyed our stay!
