Hello!Thank you for visiting us here at The Vandees Boutique Bed+Breakfast.On behalf of Jean Paul and Noreen Van der Velde it is our pleasure to welcome you to Northern Ireland and to our home.We invite you to relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility in the secluded surroundings of the Hamlet of Aghalee.

We are situated on the edge of three of the main counties being Co Armagh,Antrim,Down and therefore ideal as a base for exploring and visiting most of the major tourist attractions in Northern Ireland.Lough Neagh, for unspoilt scenery and tranquil atmosphere is also nearby.If you are attending an event at nearby Riverdale Barn,The Vandees is the closest B&B and transport to the venue is provided.(Guests only).

For those seeking the bright lights of the city, Belfast is only 25 mins.

We believe in creating experiences and great memories rather than just a bed for the night and where the smallest touches will hopefully leave the greatest impressions......

A little about the hosts....

Jean-Paul is from Amsterdam,has lived in many countries but fell in love with Northern Ireland(and his wife of course!)

He speaks a variety of languages including Dutch,English,German,Spanish,un petit peu Francais and currently learning Northern Irish!

Noreen is a local girl,and a keen artist.You will find a lot of her work displayed around their home.She is passionate about food and a qualified cook,which helps if you would like an Irish cookery lesson.Jean-Paul & Noreen grow a variety of their own vegetables and wherever possible source most of their foods locally.They can cater for any dietary requirements and a 5 star rating has been awarded for food hygiene. Noreen's nettle tea has become a guest favourite and her homemade nettle hair tonic -a special touch during your stay.

House Rules(unfortunately we have to have some of them)....

Traditional Ulster fry included in the room price and served from 7am.(Continental breakfast can be offered before 7am).

Free wifi

Tea/coffee/hot chocolate/water in the bedroom's along with Noreen's award winning Nettle tea.

Complimentary toiletries.

We love a bit of romance but we don't allow candles in the bedrooms.

You'll find no Tv's in your bedroom however a Tv is provided in our chill out room.

Check-in from 2pm.Check-out by 11am.

Minimum £20 deposit required per room per night.

Deposits must be received within 48hrs of booking.If no deposit paid the room will be released.

Cheques(must clear before arrival),paypal,and cash accepted.Charges apply when paying through paypal.

No refund if cancelled less than 48hours.(sorry)

No smoking indoors.

Guide dogs very welcome.

Our B&B is unsuitable for children under 6 years old.

Airport pick up/return can be arranged.
