Cosy, comfortable and great location

We stayed for two weeks at 9 Windsor Terrace and really enjoyed our stay. The cottage is well equipped, very comfortable and has generous sized rooms. Its in a brilliant location just minutes from the centre of Corbridge which has good shops, nice pubs and places to eat - The Black Bull and The Angel good real ales, AngelFish for lovely fish and chips and the Frito Misto is good. Super cottage in fantastic location

Having been revisiting this part of the world for over 10 years this was our first stay in the village of Allendale. A super cottage with very good facilities. Very comfortable in ideal spot. Fabulous cottage !

Fabulous cottage, very roomy, & extremely well equipped. It has lovely big rooms, with a very comfortable king sized bed. A nice bathroom, with a bath & a large powerful shower.

The kitchen has everything you might need to prepare a meal, although we only used it for breakfast & drinks ! There is a little courtyard outside the kitchen which would be nice to sit during the summer.

A very comfortable cottage only a short distance from Hadrian's Wall. The weather was against us when we were there, so we spent more time in cottage. It had all the amenities and was cosy. The owner was on site and exceptionally helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend.

The cottage was spotlessly clean and is compact enought for 2 people. The kitchen has everything you need and the bed is comfy. The only issue I had was the power from the shower is really low to the point of an almost dribble and it was really cold in the cottage and took a long time to heat up. Other than those minor niggles it is a great little cottage and good spot for getting out and about

A fabulous cottage in an unspoilt landscape

The cottage was a last minute booking and we landed well and truly on our feet. the cottage is brand new - ie completely refurbished and therefore in superb order. Comfort is the order of the day. Complimentary dressing gowns, a hamper of 'freebies' on arrival and a very welcoming owner in Nicola.

Rookhope is remote but set in the beautiful Weardale valley but very close to all the North East…

Great find, beautiful location

Great place for a big family holiday. Loads of space for all- 3 reception areas- one with a fantastic stained glass window. Fantastic views out across the fields and just a short 5 mins drive to Hadrian's Wall and all the sites. Landlord very helpful. Great location for all things Roman. Just a shame it wasn't cold enough to light the big wood burner in the lounge.

Two pointers and i stayed at Curlew Cottage for a week. The weather was mixed but the walking is terrific. Hadrians wall is now a favourite.
The cottage is really comfortable. Great shower for after the walks comfy bed.
The cottage reminded me of times past at home with horses and dogs around.
A warm welcome with fresh flowers.
Watch where you park as it is the birds fly through and bomb the car…

Peace and relaxation in a delightful cottage.

Well situated,very nice local walks

We stayed here as a base whilst my son went on the Tyne Tour, we took our Beagles who like us loved the local walks on your door step.WIthin 10 minutes you are walking along side a loverly river and then into the open moors. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Couldn't believe the wonderful wheather we had.House was well equipped and we even had Halloween biscuits waiting for us.

Fabulous! a complete switch off from the day to day in lovely su

The booking procedure was simple. The welcome from Sharon was warm and friendly with just the right amount of information; we also felt that we could call in for extra advice or help if needed.

Nice and relaxing perfect stay

We stayed here for the weekend and had a lovely relaxing time. The location is great and herdwick hut has everything you will need. The hot tub is brilliant with nice views we were in it for hours. Eddie was very welcoming and friendly thanks for a great weekend see you again soon.

The upstairs bedroom was roomy but the sloping roof over the bath made it impossible to stand up and shower - soon got used to it kneeling down. Definitely something different and well worth a try.

We booked the biscuit barrell for one night before we moved in to Crofters Cottage. The barrel itself had everything you need, tea and coffee was provided aswell as peat for the fire. The bed was very comfy and despite arriving in horrendous weather we did feel very safe inside. The owner Eddie was very helpful and I would definitely recommend.

    Had a really warm welcome from the owners (Peter & Sonia). Property is beautifully decorated, clean and has everything you need. Alston is a quaint village with a cobbled street, plenty of pubs within walking distance with open fires and good local ale. There are plenty of walks on your doorstep too.     The apartment was just ideal for our family stay in Hexham. Location couldn't have been better. Lovely and clean with everything we needed.

    The apartment is on two levels with the bathroom and bedrooms on the top floor, this made the accommodation feel really spacious, we didn't feel on top of one another .
