Description

Maison Rose, Apartment 1 is a modern very well appointed, luxury apartment. It has 3 bedrooms (1 double and 2 twin, 1 twin has en suite) 2 bathrooms and an open plan living area. The main living area has wooden flooring with under floor heating and a fully fitted kitchen with granite worktops, oven, hob, microwave/combi oven, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. The sitting room area has 1 large sofa and comfortable chairs with AppleTV and a beatbox. It has French doors leading to a terrace with views of Argentiere Glacier (ideal for BBQ). The dining table ((seats 6 when folded out) divides the kitchen and living areas and there is also a breakfast/bar area. One of the bedrooms has doors leading to another terraced area and forms part of a tranquil, mature garden to the rear of the apartment. There is a cellar suitable for storing ski's and bikes or other outdoor equipment. Maison Rose is in the heart of the traditional mountain village of Argentiere.

There are 2 washing machines, a dryer and a ski boot dryer for use of apartment guests in the basement.

Ground floor, easy access, no steps, separate entrance.

Skiing in Argentiere, Chamonix, Mont Blanc: Although Argentiere boasts the most challenging area in the Alps the surrounding area is also good for beginners and intermediates alike and the ESF French ski school is one of the best in Europe.

The village is very child friendly and children are welcome at restaurants and there is a great crèche facility close to the ski slopes called the Panda Club.

Summer in Argentiere: The summer can be relaxing or energetic. There are great mountain walks or hikes with breathtaking views. Paragliding off the top of Brevent with an experienced instructor, white water rafting, canoeing, mountain biking, glacier walking, ice climbing, rock climbing with an indoor climbing wall at Les Houches are all possible. The Plan Praz 18 hole golf course is a 7 minute drive away and there is riding, tennis, swimming, cycling and nearby. One can take the Aigulle de Midi cable car for fantastic views if Mont Blanc and Mer du Glace.

Car is the best. However, there is a good bus system and the Mont Blanc Express train runs throughout the valley and down into Switzerland.

This is our home in the mountains. We hope that you find it more comfortable and homely than standard holiday lets and would hope that you treat it as such. Please report any breakages or damage. Please take shoes off when you are in the apartment. Please store skis and boots in the basement where we have installed a boot and glove dryer specifically for your use.
