Blancou

Saint-Antonin Noble Val farmhouse

4 bedrooms / 3 bathrooms / sleeps 8

“Blancou definately has the WOW factor!!!” Having arrived at Blancou Alison and Peter were on hand to show us around their beautiful farm house. It was clear from the outset that they had lavished much love and affection into every little detail of their fabulous home. Every room was spotlessly clean and attention to detail was second to none. The farmhouse oozes character and Alison and Peters personal touches added to the warm and homely feel to the place. We were in a party of six and due to the design of the farmhouse each couple seemed to have their own private wing with a bathroom and lounge area ; we were delighted and couldnt believe we had found such a gem of a place to stay! The farmhouse is nestling in beautiful countryside with unspoilt views as far as the gorge and beyond. The swimming pool was a good size and because of its position in the garden you could get the sun until early evening which for sun worshippers like myself was heaven. The grounds were beautiful and very well maintained.the walnut tree with the light for the evenings, the vegetable patch with the scarecrow and little bench, the herb garden, flowers, fig trees, mulberry bush, passion flowers and not to mention the chickens, geese and of course Hercules and Henny Penny ( the biggest cockerel and his wife youll ever see!!!) Just a month after staying in Blancou we visited a similar style property (this was booked by other friends before Blancou) which was in the Dordogne. Although we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there, and the place was beautiful I would definitely return to Blancou because I loved all the warmth, charm and character it offers . Alison and Peter were lovely, very thoughtful and very discreet ( not that they had to be discreet though because we loved chatting to them!) They have a beautiful place in the sun and deserve every success with it.

About France

Although it is celebrated for its rich cultural and historical heritage, flavorful cuisine, and excellent wines, France is often underrated for its natural beauty and countryside charms. From the Pyrenees in the southwest and the northern shores of Normandy to the marvelous city of Paris and the legendary French Riviera, France has something to offer travelers of all tastes and budgets and consistently ranks as the world's single most popular vacation destination.

If you're visiting France, here are some ideas for your itinerary:

  • Paris: The City of Light is home to the nation's most iconic sites, including the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, Champs-Elysees and the Louvre. Paris is one of the world's most romantic and popular cities, offering outstanding food, pleasant scenery, and surprisingly rich diversity.
  • The Palace of Versailles: Located outside of Paris, the storied Palace of Versailles was the seat of French royalty in bygone eras. Perfectly preserved with enchantingly landscaped gardens and opulent palatial interiors, the Palace of Versailles is well worth a day trip if you're in the Ile-de-France area.
  • The Cote d'Azur: The French Riviera is one of Europe's most popular vacation hotspots. With warm weather throughout the year, the Riviera's beaches and cities are a delight to visit if you're seeking some Mediterranean flavor, and the area boasts some of the best camping in France.
  • Bordeaux: Southwestern France isn't as celebrated as the French Riviera, but it is equally inviting. Home to miles of beaches and the historic city of Bordeaux, this is an ideal destination if you want to enjoy France's legendary joie de vivre in a less crowded and touristy environment.
  • Central France: For a French countryside experience, this is one of the most scenic and pleasant places to visit. Largely agricultural and filled with vineyards, Central France offers a quiet, relaxed pace of life and plenty of time to enjoy the quaint towns and serene pastoral views. This is an excellent place to go cycling in France.

While the summer is high season for tourism, winter offers the ideal opportunity for skiing holidays in France. The country boasts several spectacular alpine regions, including the Alps, shared with Switzerland and Italy, and the Pyrenees that separate it from Spain. If you are traveling with children, they will love Disneyland France, located near Paris.

Vacation rentals are widely available in every part of France, both urban and rural. These accommodations, which include everything from mountain cabins and quaint country homes to luxury apartments downtown, offer guests much more space and privacy than traditional hotels. Since options are plentiful in all price ranges, vacation rentals are ideal for couples, groups, and families alike.

France shares borders with Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Spain and Andorra, making it easy for you to explore more of Western Europe. The United Kingdom is also just across the English Channel, and is accessible by rail, sea, and air.

Villa Olivade - St Paul De Vence
Hilltop Charmer

We stayed at Villa Olivade for 1 month. It exudes warmth, charm, and several beautifully landscaped levels outdoors to enjoy. A nicely decorated villa with everything one needs to have a wonderful time in the South of France. The location is ideal to visit the Cote d’Azur or the many medieval villages nearby. There is a large community swimming pool with enough loungers for everyone to enjoy. We were there every other day, as the weather was perfect our entire stay. We felt like we were living in the nicest area that St. Paul de Vence has to offer. David has gone above and beyond to make sure you are happy with your home away from home. We would highly recommend Villa Olivade.see more
Newly Launched - Spacious beautiful apartment just 1 block from the beaches
Excellent in Every Way!

The location was perfect and on a pedestrian street. The rooms were large and very nicely furnished. Each room had its own air conditioning control and it worked extremely well. The kitchen was well equipped. The washing machine was great and easy to use. There were no noisy neighbors. The beds were comfortable. The lift worked well to the third floor. The bathrooms were very modern and well laid out. We can't think of one negative, and is clearly the nicest vacation rental we have ever had. Highly recommended!!see more
Bayeux center charming house with garage.
Dynamite Location

This rental is perfectly located within the center of Dinan. You are surrounded by shops, restaurants, a nearby grocery store, tourist information center. But the place is set back from the street, through a private driveway, and is completely quiet. You would think you were in the country. Although the living area is small, 3 of us were comfortable enough. The proprietor did carry our luggage up and down the spiral staircase, which was a great help. Otherwise, the staircase was not a problem. The only tricky part is making a tight right turn from the street into the very narrow driveway. We managed it by pulling in the mirrors and driving very slowly in our Renault Captur.see more

Private sunny villa with large heated pool and river access
Beautiful, well equipped home with direct river access

The spacious, well equipped house accommodated our party of 8 comfortably. We were an extended family group ranging from teenagers to their grandparents and the facilities suited us perfectly. The pool is large, clean and set in attractive grounds with views of the mountains. There is a range of indoor and outdoor seating for dining and relaxing with plenty of communal space for a large group. The pretty town of Ceret, with its wide range of cafes and restaurants, is about a twenty minute walk away. The supermarket, which sells pastries and fresh baguettes is only a two minute walk - very convenient! The highlight of our stay was the river, which can be accessed directly down a private path from the back of the house. The teenagers loved swimming, climbing over rocks and flinging themselves off into the water, while their parents and grandparents paddled in the shallows and enjoyed watching from the shade. Finally, Stephen replied to all our queries very quickly and provided all the information we needed so the booking and admin side of things was very smooth too. Thank you Stephen and Sarah for a wonderful holiday.see more
