“Very good cottage chestnut”

Reviewed 20 Aug 2022

We stayed at chestnut cottage, Armagh for 6nights and we were 6 people. Chestnut is beautiful, close to nature cottage and has lots of pet animals like cats, ducks, dogs, sheep, goat, cattle and horse. My kids loved the place and played with cats and dogs. Owner is very good. Even owners daughter played with my daughters and my daughters had good time. Place itself is very big and has its own boundary which is really safe and kids can play outside by their own for hours. Another best part is it is very cheap. My kids wants to go to chestnut cottage again. Had lovely time in northern Ireland. Thank you for everything.

“Lovely homely cottage in beautiful surroundings”

Reviewed 7 Aug 2017

This is a really lovely country cottage in the grounds of a farm just outside Armagh city. The setting is absolutely beautiful with stunning views out every window. Only 5 minutes drive from Armagh city and 2 minutes drive from Navan Fort, this made for a perfect location for our 3 night stay. Our children loved the resident goats, sheep and chickens!!

“Good for the price”

Reviewed 23 Jul 2016

The cottage was a very nice place to stay, close to Armagh but still in a country setting. Our children enjoyed being able to see the animals and enjoy fresh eggs. The cottage itself is comfortable and homey. The following are not complaints, but rather things to keep in mind. The cottage is set on a farm, which makes it relaxing. But with the farm "life" you have the smells and sounds of a farm - roosters wake you in the morning. Also, washer and dryer are mentioned, but these are services that you are expected to pay for. Also, wifi was a bit spotty. But that being said, we would stay here again if we were to visit Northern Ireland once more.
