Description

The Casetta Sleeps 2 people and is self contained one up, one down cottage. There is a sofa bed downstairs, but its only as emergency extra (if needed). The Casetta is an 18th Century stone farm house with private pool. Set in protected picturesque countryside, yet only 5 minutes from the historic and beautiful town of Atessa in the Abruzzo region known as "the Garden of Italy". The downstairs room has a kitchen/ diner and lounge, with doors onto the patio area with BBQ area. The upstairs double bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and french doors onto the upper patio area.

Casa Pietra is in a rural area, half a mile to the nearest neighbour, but the hill top town of Atessa is only 3 miles away, and local shops, bars and restaurants are just a short drive. The best and nearest sandy beach, and leisure pools, are only a 15 minute drive.

Getting around

Planes - Fly to Pescara (Abruzzo Airport) - 40 minutes to the house. Rome, Naples and Bari are 3/ 3.5 hours drive away. Train - The main line from North Italy to South Italy runs down the Adriatic. Our local stop is just 20 minutes from the house. I recommend a car if you wish to get around, however there is an excellent coach and bus service. A coach to Rome takes 3 hours and costs only 15 euros

Interaction with guest

My general style is that I will be available if you need me. I will assume you want to be left to yourself, and will not impose on your holiday. However come and say hello, ask for my local tips, and ask me to help with anything.

Response from the owner Many thanks for your feedback and I am sorry that you were unhappy with your stay. I am also sorry that the 30% refund of my rental income I offered was not acceptable. As explained I could not rent the properly after your early departure. It is unfortunate that you found the bed uncomfortable. Guests prior to your stay and the guests after your stay have had no problems. Please note that I rent on several sites and you are welcome to read the reviews on Air BnB and Home Away. Again thank you for your feedback which I have taken on board. I hope that you enjoyed the rest of your time in Italy.
