“excellent in every way” The Villa Nuba experience is certainly the best one could hope for. The apartment is great, everything works as it should, and the location is fine as well. Most of all, we enjoyed the service of Giuseppe and his family, who made us feel at home the whole time. A really really recommendable place to stay while in Perugia.
Romantic, historic and filled with passionate, welcoming people, Italy is one of the world's most prestigious and popular holiday destinations. From the simple enchantments of the storied countryside and alpine peaks to the striking coastal towns and stately magnificence of Rome, Italy has something for everyone. Come for the food, come for the adventure, and come for the joy of living life the Italian way.
Here are a few ideas for your Italian itinerary:
Rome: The cradle of Western civilization, Rome is home to such iconic sites as the Colosseum and St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City. If you can only go to one place in Italy, many people will advise you to make it Rome.
Venice: Taking a gondola ride through the canals of Venice makes for an unforgettable experience.
Sardinia: With over 150 miles of coastline and some of the most beautiful beaches in the country, Sardinia is one of the nation's most popular vacation hotspots. It is also one of the best places to go camping in Italy.
Sicily: The home of many of the country's most impressive archeological sites and famous for its rugged beauty, people do things a little differently in Sicily. It offers an authentic slice of Italian life with a colorful culture all its own.
Campania: This region borders the Mediterranean Sea on the country's west coast, and is one of the most widely visited resort areas in the nation. Many Italy cruises include Naples, Campania's capital city, as a port of call. The region's beaches are also popular for a wedding in Italy and make for a storybook Italy honeymoon.
For your Italian holiday, book a vacation rental instead of fussing with a cramped hotel room. Vacation rentals include spacious and comfortable options like villas on the beach, apartments in the city, and cabins in the scenic countryside. You'll find plenty to choose from no matter what your budget and you won't have to sacrifice any of the comforts or amenities of home.
If you want to continue your European adventure, options abound from Italy. Follow the coastline to the west to get to the French Riviera, head north into Switzerland or go east into Slovenia, one of Europe's best-kept secrets.

Design Terrace Coliseum
Amazing location and apartment.
We’ve stayed in Rome 12 years in a row and this was the best equipped and best shower we have ever had. A/C kept the apartment cool even in August. The terrace is beautiful and quiet. And communications with the owner and manager were superb- clear and helpful. …

trulli of aunt Victoria
Incredible place
This trulli is ideally located within a couple minute walk from all the activities, but still on a quiet side street. There are several great restaurants literally within a 2 minute walk. Free on street parking nearby was easy to find. The property is amazing. An authentic trulli that has been painstakingly restored with no detail overlooked. The best of the old and the new. Antonella was highly responsive and very helpful, from booking to arrival to departure. I can see why her property has so many high ratings and awards. Alborebello is incredible, like no other place. Very walkable and liveable. It was an excellent experience. …

Febei Palace, live in fable.
Beautiful apartment, perfect location
This was my second stay at Palazzo Febei and it was as wonderful as the first. The house is lovely: spacious, comfortable, guest-friendly and Ale and his father Cesare are perfect hosts. It would not be possible to find a better location. Staying in the heart of Orvieto made us feel like we belonged there. Just perfect! …

Francesca's Apartment Taormina
Beautiful apartment with fantastic views and amenities
This apartment lives up to all of it's descriptions and photographs. The terrace is huge, with separate areas for dining, sunbathing, and drying clothes in the warm Sicilian sun. The view is spectacular! Clean, quiet, and fully stocked with all necessities including washer, hair dryer, kitchen appliances, and beach towels. We were greeted by Francesca's brother-in-law Marco, who couldn't have been more accommodating. Upon arrival, we found a loaf of fresh bread, grapes, wine, butter, milk, and eggs. I highly recommend taking a cooking class at Marco and his wife, Louisa's B&B "Villa Brittania" located just a few doors away. It was on e of our favorite experiences of our entire vacation. Louisa gave us great recommendations for dining in town.
The walk to Corsu Umberto takes about 10 minutes. It's uphill going there, but coming back is easy. A great way to get some exercise in, so that you can enjoy all the wonderful food guilt-free. 100% recommend a stay at this lovely gem overlooking Taormina and the Ionian Sea.! …

Villa Principessa, with Sea Access, Pool and Sea View - by Amalfivacation
Perfection!
From the moment we were picked up at Naples train station, to our return trip to Rome (which included a stop in Positano ) our three day stay at the Villa (and we wish we could have stayed longer) was wonderful. Gorgeous views, beautifully appointed and easy access to the lovely town of Minori - five of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Communication was great and we had help with our bags (which given all the stairs was wonderful). As all the reviews have noted, there are lots of stairs - down to the ocean, up to the pool, even inside the villa. And the walk to town includes hills and stairs as well. But you soon become accustomed to it (and it's excellent exercise.....makes it possible to eat the gorgeous pastries and gelato in town!). Speaking of....I highly recommend this villa as well for its proximity to Minori - we were there in October - the end of the season - so except for the weekend - it was pretty quiet - unlike Positano which even at this time of year was overrun with tourists - and to my mind...not nearly as charming as Minori. There are excellent restaurants, pastry shops, coffee (of course) , shops and a great place for pottery. …
