“Wonderful stay” Wonderful vacation in a charming home located in a very strategical position! My husband, my little daughter and me stayed there for one week in february during carnival days. The house, wondefully restored, is big and comfortable and the athmosphere inside the house is really magical. There are three bedrooms and three bathrooms! You can sleep beyond ancient and magnificent chinese doors, or in a romantic oriental bed, earing water whispering coming from the canal. Otherwise you can choose the ultra romantic underroof. The living zone is huge (with two very big sofas) and comfortable. You can also light your fire in big and old-fashioned camino. But what's really worth the stay is the strategical position: La Sensa is located in the Ghetto, few minute walking from all the most strategical position (railway station and San Marco, for instance). A very magical vacation in the most beautiful city in the world lived, staying in a house that makes you forget you have to go out to live the magic!

Palladio Garden - contemporary style apartment with shared garden

Venice apartment

  • 2 bedrooms
  • 2 bathrooms
  • sleeps 5

“Comfort, quiet and a spectacular view across the Guidecca canal.” The Palladio garden was just what we needed in Venice. We were attending the Biennale but had teenagers with us, so we needed somewhere a short hop to the Giardini, but with a relaxing lounge and comfortable beds so girls and we could recharge. Stepping out each morning to the wonderful light, water and openness of the Guidecca canal was a real treat. Kitchen and bathrooms had all we needed for convenience and the service from our rep from Truly Venice was excellent. Note that the Dosoduro is a quiet neighbourhood and you are a boat ride or a walk over the academia bridge. But we liked that! We shall stay here again.

Alba D'Oro - Venice apartment with breathtaking Grand Canal view

Venice apartment

  • 1 bedroom
  • 1 bathroom
  • sleeps 4

“So nearly perfect” Alba D'Oro is a large, very comfortable and surprisingly quiet apartment at the very centre of Venice life. It is beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean and well decorated. However, we thought that providing just two long stemmed wine glasses, in an apartment for four, was a bit mean and that the kitchen was not as well equipped as other apartments we have rented from Truly Venice and other people over the years. In fact the limited crockery and cutlery available made the dish-washer fairly redundant. Apart from this small gripe, we would thoroughly recommend both alba D'Oro and Truly Venice to anyone looking for an extra-special apartment in Venice.

Dogaressa - the best view you can dream of

Venice apartment

  • 4 bedrooms
  • 4 bathrooms
  • sleeps 8

“Open the curtains and...wow!” To arrive at your front door by water taxi direct from the airport is a great way to start a break at Dogaressa. To open the curtains on your first morning is just unbelievable; gondoliers preparing their boats for a day's work against the backdrop of the Santa Maria della Salute- the church so close that you can almost reach out and touch it. To landward as well the location is wonderful, seconds from a main shopping street and minutes from San Marco, yet quiet and hidden away. The apartment is spacious although don't expect too many mod-cons. Would I recommend this property to lovers of Venice? Absolutely!

About Veneto

Comprised of seven individual provinces, Veneto is home to some of the most celebrated cities in Italy. Nestled in the northeastern part of Italy, Veneto also has miles and miles of beautiful coastline, dotted with charming seaside towns and beaches. The region occupies an important place in Italian political and spiritual history, with remnants of its storied past sprinkled throughout its striking countryside.

Some of the major attractions in Veneto include:

  • Venice: From its famous canals to its scenic narrow streets and museums rich with artistic masterpieces, Venice is as romantic as it is fascinating. Be sure to take a gondola tour through its winding waterways for an unforgettable holiday experience.
  • Cortina d'Ampezzo: Nestled in the Veneto highlands, this former Olympic host city is perfect for winter visitors looking for a ski vacation in Italy's alpine country.
  • Verona: The city that served as the setting of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet is also home to one of the most renowned opera houses in Europe.
  • Padova: Home of the famous Basilica del Santo, Padova attracts millions of visitors every year who come for religious pilgrimages. For secular visitors, the city offers stunning architecture and intriguing historical attractions, including a collection of Saint Antonio's religious relics.
  • Seaside villages and vineyards: Bring your camera and head to Bibione, Eraclea and Jesolo. Just north of Verona, you'll also find the internationally renowned wine region of Valpolicella, where you can enjoy winery tours and get a taste of the local product.

During your visit to Veneto, choose a vacation rental rather than a hotel; you'll have more space and privacy, as well as all the comforts of home. Beautifully decorated and located wherever you would like, vacation rentals add a touch of authenticity to your Italian holiday by serving as your home away from home.

Veneto is ideally situated for exploring more of Europe. The Italian capital of Rome lies just to its southwest, and you can also head north into the Swiss Alps or east to get to Slovenia, a beautiful and underrated European vacation destination.

Located in a short distance to major attractions the flat is situate inside the small block at isolated peninsula with views to channel. Renovated, the flat offer all you need, except the dishwasher (one may be happy without it for a short stay, yes?). Please be attentive to the eating places selection. Lots of low quality perverted by tourist flow places are around.see more

Nice Stay!

We enjoyed our stay at Francesco's apartment. It was quiet and comfortable and had everything we needed. The neighborhood was great, close to Bienalle sights, shops and restaurants, but not too crowded with tourists. A great base to get to know Venice a bit better. We would stay again. … see more
Romantic House in Valpolicella: Between Art & Wine
Unique romantic Location in the heart of Valpolicella

Once we actually found the house, we were pleasantly surprised with this location. Unfortunately our GPS only provides co-ordinates once you are at a location, so it wound up being a little more difficult to find, and unfortunately Serena was not readily available. But after about an hour of searching around, we finally got there. The house itself is quaint, and really quite special. Because Serena was not available at all that day, it did take us a while to figure several aspects of the house, and it took half way through our three day visit before the internet connection was working. But, setting aside those things, when we did meet Serena, she was excellent, and provided us with good information about the area. There are lots of good vineyards wineries in the immediate area. There are also lots of unique little towns and we were very happy with our stay. It is only a 20 minute drive into Verona. Other than the fact that it was a little more challenging to get settled in, this was a great location, The property itself is very relaxing, very traditional, and makes you feel like you are really part of the area. We would certainly stay here again.see more
Ca' del Cafetier: a haven for family reunions at VeniceMartini
Excellent for our group of four couples plus me, the guide.

A good location far away from the Rialto and San Marco (at least as far away as you can get as the walking distance to tourist areas is short and interesting). Kitchen was well supplied and there is a supermarket nearby. There are at least four good restaurants close by as well as a small pizzeria. There is also a good bar for breakfast Italian style just down the calle. The only drawback is the vaporetto situation. The number 5.2 and 5.1 stop at Ospedale and is reasonably close but it only goes around the perimeter of Venice. To get to the Grand Canal you have to take the 5.1 to the train station (minimum time is 17 minutes) and then the number 1 down the Grand Canal. That could mean an hour to cover a 20 minute walk.see more

Nice apartment

The apartment is well centrally located with a nice view. It might become noisy because it is just across to one of the vaporetto stations but for us that was not a problem. The main area is just right with all the essentials. The loft, where the third bed was, it was small and cozy, however, the stairs were narrow. The main problem we had were the mosquitoes. We opened the window when we arrived on Sunday for no more than an hour and that was enough to get mosquitoes until we were gone on Wednesday. That was really an inconvenience since we all got bitten pretty bad and kept killing them day and night. So, please do not open the windows, at least in the summer. Good communication.see more
