“Perfect apartment in Florence” An apartment in Florence is so much better than a hotel room. The Suite Deluxe apartment, though, is so much better than any other apartment. It is situated in a historical building but it totally modern inside. Beautiful large bathroom, king size bed, sleek but comfortable furnishings, a compact but fully equipped kitchen, free wifi and TV. Piero will meet you just outside the building to take you inside and explain all the equipment to you. He was wonderfully friendly and helpful. Be sure to visit the restaurants he suggests. They are excellent.

“Postcard perfect setting and views!” My husband and I rented La Ginestra for one week in October. It was a perfect choice for us--size of the house, its location, amenities, and the incredible vistas from every window and door. We felt that in choosing La Ginestra we had a real Tuscan experience, as the town is very "untouristy" and genuine. We loved shopping in the local stores, sipping coffees and wine at the local bar/terrace, and feeling like locals for one week. Richard has done an outstanding job of furnishing the lovely house, providing lots of local information, and responding to us in a timely manner. Maruizio, the caretaker, was a joy to meet and a wonderful source of more information. We highly recommend La Ginestra!

“A dream of a house for a large family gathering!” For our Silver Wedding celebration we gathered here with 15 family members aged from 5 to 78years old and had a wonderful time - even the teenagers! There was plenty of space in the house and around it with a pool and wonderful park. Granny sat every morning in the rose garden. There were plenty of possible games to play, LPs of Italian Opera to listen to, walks to take and excursions to make. The beds and bathrooms were wonderful and the kitchen well equipped. We would love to go back some time.

“Beautiful House with awesome View” My friends and I stayed here in late april/early May. The weather was perfect and we easily took the train to Florence, Lucca, Pisa and Rome from here. The house itself is beautiful and fully stocked. No need to pack extras, there were umbrellas, travel books, and even a ceramic flat iron to calm my frizzy hair. The balcony is a great spot to relax and enjoy the view after a long day of sight seeing. There is a quaint Italian restaurant a short walk away with great food. You can eat there or take it back to the house. Just a short taxi or bus ride takes you to the train station where you can travel to any other Italian cities.

“nothing better” Appartament is very comfortable (it looks perfect like a 5 star luxury appartament in a hotel), clean and with much amonities. “Nice place, amazing view -, scary drive!” Large rooms, nice old farmhouse that's been recently renovated. Owners very friendly. Amazing restaurant just a couple of miles down the road. Amazing views, but there's a reason - the last 400m (ish) drive up to the property is steep - serious hairpin bends on narrow road.

Podere La Grande Querce near s.gimignano

Montaione b&b

“Unforgettable experience” We had a great time not only in the place but more importantly with the hosts! The farm is managed by a beautiful family. Sig.ra Serena & Sig. Alessio were very accomodating from the moment we took interest & inquire about their bed & breakfast. They were very generous with information, knowledge, service & time. The place is pristine. Well-kept & perfected to the last detail. It smells good, too. The location is brilliant for somebody who enjoys privacy. I can go on & on about Podere La Grande Querce because there's a lot of positive things about this place (& I may not have much characters left), but what struck us the most is the family behind it. They are very kind, respectful & good natured. We had no inquiry, need or question left unattended or unanswered. And to us, that is the most important factor. They made us feel at home. We will surely be back!

La Tinaia, Podere Patrignone - a Tuscan cottage with garden, views and pool

Castellina In Chianti cottage

“A Slice of Paradise” We stayed at Podere Patrignone for 5 days in September. It was wonderful to stay in a self contained apartment after 4 weeks of hotels in France. The farmhouse is charming, the apartments are unique and quaint, the countryside was picture perfect and the weather was unseasonably warm. Simon and Verity were such hospitable hosts, yet give the guests their own space. We thoroughly enjoyed the weekly meal Verity and Pam created for all the guests. You must have a car to truely experience all the hidden charms of Tuscany, and everything is so close and the quality of food and wine was impressive. Our favourite memory of staying at Podere Patrignone was sharing sunsets on the terrace with other guests and partaking of good wine, great conversation and so many laughs. We will be back for another slice of paradise.

About Tuscany

When you dream of Italy, whether you realize it or not, you often visualize the rolling hills and roads lined with cypress trees of Tuscany.

The central region in Italy is about 9,000 square miles and encompasses many famous destinations, including the region's capital, Florence. Some of the region's top places to visit are recognized World Heritage sites, including the entire historical centers ofFlorence, Siena, San Gimignano and Pienza as well as the Square of Miracles in Pisa with its Leaning Tower and the entire valley in southern Tuscany known as the Val d'Orcia. In addition to these wonders, visitors should not miss the walled town of Lucca nor the medieval hilltop village of Volterra.

Tuscany is rich in culture, history and arts. All are intertwined: Tuscany, and Florence in particular, were the birthplace of the Renaissance. Tuscany is the birthplace of greats such as Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Botticelli and Donatello in the arts, Dante Alighieri, Boccaccio and Petrarch in literature, Puccini, Guido d'Arezzo (invented modern musical notation) and today's present day tenor Andrea Bocelli in music. Everywhere you visit, from Piazza del Duomo and the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, to the Duomo andCivic Palace in Siena, you will be able to see the lasting landmarks and masterpieces this period in history has left for us to marvel at today.

While most of the postcards from Tuscany show soft, rolling hills, the region is also distinguished for the variety in its landscape including its coastal seaside beaches and towns, its mountains and the many valleys with stunning hilltop towns on every gentle peak in between. The magnificent island of Elba offers clear, blue waters and reefs that remind one of other destinations across the globe.

An essential part of your visit will include enjoying the delicious food and wines produced in Tuscany. The region brings life to the finest Italian red wines, including Chianti, Brunello di Montalcino, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano and numerous modern-day "Super Tuscans". Enjoy your wine with great Tuscan specialties: a plate of tagliatelle with white truffles from San Miniato or pici with Pecorino di Pienza cheese sauce, a fine Florentine steak of locally-bred Chianina beef or a panzanella bread salad with a drizzle of high-quality Tuscan extra virgin olive oil.

Tuscany's two international airports, in Pisa (PSA) and Florence (FLR), connect the region to the rest of Europe and the world. From there, you can easily move around the region using the excellent rail system, although some areas - including Chianti and Val d'Orcia - are better explored with your own means of transportation. The port city of Livorno (Leghorn) welcomes hundreds of cruise ship travelers every day.

Tuscany is beautiful year-round, with generally mild temperatures. The warmest months are July and August, and January and February the coldest. Only the highest peaks get enough snow to attract skiers. The best months for visiting are from March to June and from September through early November.

Tuscany offers great treasures for all. Whether you're on your first visit or returning again to enjoy a longer vacation, you will marvel at the magnificent masterpieces this region has inspired in all who have visited and lived here over the course of centuries.

Villa Patrignone 7 bedroom Tuscany villa with pool
La Vista Bella

My family and I stayed in the "villa" at this beautiful Tuscan estate. Gorgeous views and sunsets to die for. Rosemary hedges line the property. Close in proximity to all of the wine towns along the Chiantgiana, as well as Sienna. The accommodation was charming and we loved the feeling of old Tuscany in everything from the furnishings to the beautifully hand stitched sheets on our beds. Simon and Verity were awesome to deal with before our arrival and even better in person. My grandchildren ages 10 and 5 made fast friends with their boys and I am sure will have pen pals forever,or until we return. We were sorry to go onto our next adventure, it was a teary send off for all the children. A Tuscan dream come true. Thank you, Simon, V, Max, Sam and Dawn too! Warm regards, Antoinette, Lee, Billy, Kelly, Vivian and little Billysee more
Quiet & Central nest in Florence
So glad we found this place

You're just a few weeks away from your holiday and you find out the place you had planned to stay will still have the builders in! For us this turned out to be good news because we took some more time to find a place in Florence and we were delighted with the one we chose. We arrived, a little delayed and at the same time as the heatwave, so it was great to get into the apartment to a friendly welcome from Elisabetta. Everything we needed was explained and was close at hand, really helpful for first time visitors to Italy. We enjoyed a wonderful week-long stay, coped with the temperatures and the city's busy-ness (I know we were adding to it!), drank in the culture and the views of this incredible city, and ate at some fantastic restaurants just a short walk from the apartment. Having such a lovely well-equipped delightful place to return to each evening meant it was worry-free and we could really relax.see more
Basket of Angels Studio Flat Florence oltrarno design boutique apartment
Dream flat for a dream vacation

The flat is located in a perfect location just a block away from the Arno and there are many restaurants close by. We loved walking the Oltarno area and not feeling crowded as the city center. Duomo and train station are less than 15 minutes walking - we never had to use bus or taxi. The apartment is perfect - the best bed and pillows we have had during our 1 month honeymoon trip, and the shower pressure was great and the water was easy to get to the right point (we've had problems with either super hot water or cold water on the other places we stayed). It lacks a washing machine but there is a laundry store just two buildings to the right. The only downside - it's on the 4th floor and no elevator, so travel lightly! Prepare to have a great stay in Firenze!see more
Suite Deluxe. Modern, High End Comfort with Antique Charm- 2 mins from Duomo
Excellent Location

The location could not have been better. It was conveniently located and easy to find once we got our bearings. The condo had everything you could possibly need. Pier was a great host. He answered all of our questions and then sent us additional recommendations for restaurants and sites to see. We are so glad we opted for a condo rental rather than staying in a hotel. Definitely would recommend this to our friends!see more
IL GLICINE DI LUCCA near historical centre, parking, garden, bikes, free WiFi
Perfect location in spacious, comfortable apartment

We stayed 8 days and used Lucca as our base to explore nearby hill towns. The apartment is an easy walk into Lucca, has parking and is fully equipped to be a very comfortable home away from home. Anna had been a responsive host from booking and throughout our stay. The shower is wonderful, the bed great, and everything is sparkly clean. There is outdoor space and it is very quiet. We rent lots of apartments throughout Europe and this ranks at the top. A true gem.see more

The best view in Florence!

I just love this apartment!! Location is great...and the view is AMAZING! The bed , pillows and towels are top notch! I can find no fault in this lovely apartment. That being said it is not for tall people or people that find stairs hard. There are a lot and walk up the street is difficult. But I love it!! Thanks to Diana! a great host!see more
