“Beautiful House with awesome View” My friends and I stayed here in late april/early May. The weather was perfect and we easily took the train to Florence, Lucca, Pisa and Rome from here. The house itself is beautiful and fully stocked. No need to pack extras, there were umbrellas, travel books, and even a ceramic flat iron to calm my frizzy hair. The balcony is a great spot to relax and enjoy the view after a long day of sight seeing. There is a quaint Italian restaurant a short walk away with great food. You can eat there or take it back to the house. Just a short taxi or bus ride takes you to the train station where you can travel to any other Italian cities.

“Rooms with a view!” One of the most peaceful and beautiful locations we have stayed in. Wonderful memories of sitting on the terrace outside the well-appointed house high in the Tuscan hills, with a distant view of the leaning Tower of Pisa, wooded hills all around, birds singing, a glass of local wine from the Colle Verde vineyard (north of Lucca)in my hand - absolute perfection! We loved this part of Italy and will be sure to visit again. Lucca is a must-see place, which we preferred to the busyness of Florence. Luisa and Colin were very friendly and helpful hosts, even offering to do an initial shop for us prior to our arrival. The drive up from the road requires a bit of skill and good tyres, but our two drivers were experts by the end of the week!

Amazing Tuscan Home With Countryside Views and AC!

Montopoli in Val d'Arno house

“Tuscany at its best!” Wow! The location was perfect. Situated in the heart of Tuscany, this Villa is a short drive to all the hot spots that you would want to visit. It is located in a small farming community away from big city traffic. The Villa is big with large bedrooms and bathrooms. The kitchen was also large and fully stocked with tableware and appliances. What better way to be greeted after a long plane ride than with friendly people and a bottle of wine? We made a day-trip every day in a different direction. Fabrizio and Nora were fantastic hosts. Fabrizio helped us map out each day-trip including the best places to visit, best times to visit, driving directions, train schedules, ticket costs, and restaurant selection. He also helped us get our lost luggage delivered. Nora even offered to cook us breakfast! Where else do you get that kind of hospitality? We would go back there in a second. Be sure to rent a car with a GPS to make your driving experience easier. Italian roundabout intersections can be tricky and a GPS will guide you to your destination smoothly. Our favorite destinations were Florence, Pisa, Lucca, Volterra, San Gimignano, Monteriggioni, Sienna, Bolgheri, and Cinque Terre (including Rio Miggiore, Monerosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, and Manarola). If Tuscany is your passion, this is the place to stay.

“Awesome location and lovely property” We stayed for a week in September and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Katia and Fernando couldn't have been more welcoming (and even invited us in to their home with their family and friends for traditional wood fire oven cooked pizzas one night). The villa is very clean and views are to die for. Every day the pool was cleaned and there are plenty of deck chairs for relaxing by the pool. The location is a quick 20 min drive to either the lovely villages of Volterra and St G. My only small comment would be that there wasn't a bottle opener and only 1 wine glass in the villa we stayed in. To be fair we didn't mention this to Katia and I am 100% positive that if we had she would have rectified this immediately. Instead we borrowed one of the three bottle openers that the villa upstairs had and made do with a normal glass for one of us. The wifi worked fantastic, shower pressure was wonderful and massive king sized bed comfortable. The small village of Villamagna is a 15min walk (uphill) and the deli/market has all of the delicious Italian food that you might need to make some lovely meals. Overall I was very impressed and would definitely stay again or recommend to anyone looking for accommodation in Tuscany.

“Must stay” We came to the Casa in Vicopicano after a stay in Cinque Terre. We picked up a car rental at the Pisa airport (so easy to do) and drove the short distance to begin our stay in Tuscany. The apartment (3rd level North american, by stairs) is so perfect: comfortable, spacious, tastefully decorated in a style suiting the region with modern touches, the only thing lacking was the chance to meet Marie and Lorenzo as they were away on their own holiday at the same time. The tours recommended by them, the olive farm and the ceramics were great, highly recommend the olive farm! The village is very walkable, with some interesting sites to visit.

“Perfection in Tuscany” We spent a perfect week at this property, which combines the charm of a classic Tuscan villa with all the amenities of a luxurious modern home. The spacious, beautifully furnished villa and the adjoining guest house accommodated three families – a total of 15 people – in utmost comfort, with ample room for everyone to be occupied in their own preferred activities. We all enjoyed the villa’s private tennis courts and large swimming pool – dazzling under the Tuscan sun by day and beautifully lit at night – and the secluded grounds offered plenty of opportunities to wander off and find a favorite spot to just relax and take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside and neighboring mountaintop villages (a visit to Palaia being highly recommended) as well as the spectacular sunsets. We would then all regroup for meals together, which were a pleasure to prepare in the huge, exceptionally equipped kitchen and most often consumed around the massive table in the garden. Our only complaint about the truly memorable week we spent at this extraordinary property was that it passed far too quickly.

Beautiful and comfortable apartment

We LOVED our stay at Casa Colomba! It was the perfect spot for our relaxing vacation in Tuscany. Having been to Italy before and seen some typical tourist destinations, we wanted a more remote, relaxing vacation spot. Vicopisano and Casa Colomba were perfect for this. A sleepy little town with a coffee shop/bar, several nice restaurants, and lovely accommodations served our needs well. The apartment was spacious and comfortable; Marie and Lorenzo have thought of just about everything a traveler might need. We spent quite a bit of time reading, napping or enjoying a glass of wine on the loggia. Every detail was tended to in this apartment; Marie and Lorenzo are great proprietors. We used our apartment as our home base for day trips to Pisa, Lucca, Florence and San Gimignano. Driving through the Tuscan countryside was breathtaking. We highly recommend Casa Colomba to other travelers seeking a relaxing, beautifully appointed apartment for their vacation.see more

Beautiful Home with Top Notch Accommodations

My group of 6 stayed here for a week, in May. The home is really stunning and first rate. It was beautifully decorated and has everything you can possibly need. Lots and lots of space, if you are traveling with a larger group. Amazing views from the patio, off of the main living room. We had zero issues with this rental and would definitely stay here again. The only thing I would change is our choice of transportation. We elected to not rent a car, but instead use the local taxi, bus and train service. That worked, but it did add considerable time to our day trips. So next time, we will rent a car. Also - one thing to keep in mind is that this rental is located in a small town. It's extremely charming, but your options for eating out are limited. Not a problem if you use the wonderful kitchen and bring along your favorite chef!see more

Bel Sogno – Magnificent Vista

Spending time at Bel Sogno has provided us lifelong memories of relaxing on the covered patio of the villa while enjoying a glass of wine and soaking up the incredible Tuscany vista. Words or pictures can’t capture the 360 degree view you have available to you from the moment you reach the top of the winding laneway at the gated entrance to the villa. While considering Bel Sogno for our stay in Italy and upon booking, the owners, Eric and Tania, were so accommodating. Being our first time to Europe, they willingly corresponded on a number of occasions prior to our departure with clear expectations of what the villa had to as well as offer helpful information to plan our stay. Eric and Tania were a wealth of knowledge and provided excellent suggestions and advice. We are so glad they recommended a cooking class in nearby Peccioli with Arianna & Friends. The location of the villa proved to be for day trips. Shorter drives allow you to visit Volterra, Lajatico, Peccioli, or San Gimignano. Excursions to Sienna, Pisa, and the Chianti region are also a comfortable driving distance. Florence is not far via train. The villa was very tastefully and recently decorated. Screened doors allowed for ample sunlight and refreshing breezes. The beds were very comfortable with a king bed in the master and queen in the second bedroom. Two full bathrooms made it deal for two couples or a family. There was ample closet space. The washing machine and outdoor drying rack was greatly appreciated. The kitchen was well equipped allowing us to make breakfast or dine in after a day of touring. Although we did use the harvest table inside the villa we typically dined outside, under the canopy on a patio table that could accommodate six. Although the pool was opened early, sadly the weather was not able to heat up the water for us to take advantage of it. It would be a great to enjoy if you’re visiting in the summer season. The unbelievable views continue poolside. The restaurant at Santa Vittoria is literally a 5 minute stroll within the confines of the property. Enjoy traditional Tuscan dishes prepared by Katusha’s staff. We never passed on one of the delicious desserts before sauntering back to the villa and taking in yet another gaze of majestic Volterra lite up in an amber glow lights. Luigi is your friendly contact person upon arrival and addresses any concerns during your stay. Eric and Tania have focused on satisfying there guests. We would highly recommend Villa Bel Sogno to anyone travelling to Tuscany.see more
casale leona, quiet lodging, children friendly, swimming pool, countryside view
Breathtaking View

The apartment in this villa in Chianni had three large bedrooms, each with a double bed and ample storage for clothes and personal items. The first floor had a terrace that provided a panoramic view of the Tuscan hills. There is a nice pool on the premises that provide escape from the high temperatures that came at the end of our stay. The near fields were planted with oats and wheat. During the early part of our stay these fields had not been harvested, Thus we witnessed "amber waves of grain" when the wind whipped across the terrain. It was in exhilarating experience. After the fields were harvested the view remained pristine. Chianni is centrally located in Tuscany, thus allowing us to take day trips to Voltera and San Gimignano, Pisa, Luca, Florence, Siena and even Cinque Terra. There were also several smaller, lesser known ancient villages close to Chianni, each worth visiting. The Tuscan food and wine is superb and there are great restaurants in both Chianni and Casciana Terme.see more

Great spot

We spent 3 days, but only 1 real day in Pisa, the apartment is close to the train station making it really easy to make day trips to Florence or Cinque Terre. Our flight also arrived quite early but they were really good about letting us come by and drop our bags off … see more
