Response from the owner Thank you for taking the time to write a helpful review. Admittedly, Aylesbury is not too exciting a town, but has supermarkets, leisure centre, cinema and other standard amenities you might need, as does Buckingham in the other direction. The main draw for visitors to our cottage is the countryside walks (as you discovered) and lovely country lanes popular with cyclists, the National Trust properties (five within half an hour) and proximity to Midsomer Murder villages! For longer stays, the Cotswolds, Oxford, Cambridge and London are also popular destinations. Thanks again - we hope to welcome you back again one day.
