Description

You have been exclusively chosen to admire the masterpiece of the modernist architect Antoni Gaudi, la Sagrada Familia, because we have the best view in the whole city. Flats are fully equipped: bed linen, towels and all you need in the kitchen. Air-conditioning, heating, Hi-Fi, DVD player and free WiFi internet. We have a cot and a special seat for babies. My name is Artur, I speak English and I live in the same building with my wife Joana. We have reception service on the ground floor and staff attending from 9 am to 20 pm so we can help you anytime and provide information about the city and neighborhood. We personally take care of the cleaning and any suggestion you may have during your stay. The flat features two bedrooms, both of them have balconies and the living room has two balconies more facing the cathedral's main facade. So there is a looot... of natural light in the whole flat. You will enjoy free access to the shared roof top terrace (130sqm) is just a dream come true for sunbathers and admirers of great views.

“Amazing!”

The apartment we had was fantastic, clean and modern with all you needed. The view of the sagrada familia from the living room was hard to beat and the staff were all really helpful. The terrace on the rooftop was great and lovely to sit out in the evening with a drink and take in the views. Would highly recommend.

“Spacious 2BR apartment in good location.”

On arrival Modessa gave us a good run down of transport options, things to see and do in Barcelona and provided a couple of useful maps including nearby stores etc. This was very useful for getting orientated. Spacious clean 2 BR apartment with separate kitchen.. The double-glazing does a good job of minimising road noise. The apartment block backs onto a park with views to Sagrada Familia. This also means the apartment is much brighter than most city apartments we have stayed in. We were on the second floor and the view of the church was blocked by a tree. If you want an unrestricted view, you need to ensure you get one of the higher-level apartments (which were booked out for our stay). There is no elevator but staff will assist with getting luggage up the stairs. The rooftop terrace does have an unrestricted view of the Sagrada Familia as per website photo. The lounge had 2 sofas and TV with “cable” TV with a few channels in English. The bathroom has a great shower with good hot water and stable water temperature. There is a towel warmer but no bath. The kitchen is adequately equipped including a toaster but we had no cutting board or teapot. There is a washing machine and an iron and ironing board. No internal clothes rack provided but there are lines off the small balcony off the lounge. The rooms are pleasantly decorated with prints, furnishings and there are a few books in the living room. One on Gaudi was particularly relevant to sightseeing in Barcelona. (in Spanish but plenty of pictures of Gaudi’s works). There was a notice on the lounge coffee table referring to electricity usage and fee of 1.5 Euros per crockery item broken which I found a bit tacky given the clientele likely to be staying here. If necessary, this would be better included in the contract signed on arrival rather than in the room on the coffee table. The apartment is close to metro lines 2 and 5, which give good access to sights in Barcelona. A 10-trip ticket costs less than 10 Euros and can be shared so it is an economical way to travel. The reception desk is attended 9am-2pm and a phone number is given if assistance needed outside these hours. We made use of the return airport transfer . Whilst not the cheapest option, this was an easy and comfortable way of getting between the airport and apartment. Looking at the metro map it would be possible to do this on the metro with one change if you researched the route ahead of time ( but be alert given the reports of pickpockes). Overall very good service. Good size well presented apartment in a convenient location near the Sagrada Familia and Metro.
