Description

This beautifully presented property has outstanding views of the sea and the Axe valley and is perfect for a holiday base to visit Seaton, Beer and the surrounding areas.

The seafront is a 10 minute walk away, with its mile long Esplanade and the south west coastal path is on your doorstep. Take a walk to the pretty fishing village of Beer, over the cliffs on a 30 minute stroll, Branscombe is an hour away or if you are feeling energetic Sidmouth or Lyme Regis. Beautiful views towards Sidmouth or Portland on a clear day.

Local shops and supermarkets are 10 minutes walk down the hill. Lyme Regis, Sidmouth, Charmouth are all easily accessible by car or bus.

The accommodation comprises of one double bedroom 4’ 6” bed, with en suite shower room, kitchen diner and lounge.

Towels, and bed linen together with cool bag, rush mats, picnic rucksack are provided. Gas and electricity are included in the price.

The annexe is adjoined to the owners' main property, but has its own private entrance and garden. It is situated in a private road on the west side of Seaton and has the advantage of off road parking.

Getting around

Guests who have come by rail or bus, find that the local services and those which take you further afield are very easy and convenient to use. Bus stops are no more than 200 yards from our house on the road to Beer and Seaton. Please note we do live at the top of a hill, therefore those of you who are not used to walking hills would find a car useful.

Interaction with guest

We usually try to be around when you arrive, but if not we have a key safe entry. The Annexe has a basket full of local and not so local information but we are more than happy to give you our local knowledge, particularly on where to walk.

“Comfortable accommodation with a warm welcome”

We are so glad we booked The Annexe: a warm welcome from the owners, a comfortable bed with soft pillows, a well equipped kitchen, a cosy lounge, and only a 15 minute walk to a beautiful shingle beach or into town. Would be happy to book again.

“Fabulous!”

A couple looking for somewhere delightful to stay ? Then 'The Annexe at Southlands Cottage' is definitely for you! We had a fabulous week staying at this delightful location. Debbie and Derek have thought of everything you might need, it's very comfortable and everywhere is spotlessly clean- a real MUST at this difficult post lock down time. The beach is a short walk and not too crowded and there is such a variety of walking opportunities around the area (especially if you don't mind a few hills). It is marked on the map as 'An area of outstanding natural beauty' and it really is!

“Peaceful and relaxing visit”

Lovely place to stay, very comfortable & spotless. Brilliant place to explore the surrounding areas, which you can easily walk or take a bus to. We enjoyed walking to Beer & onto Branscombe. Debbie & Derek are so friendly and we have both agreed it’s been our most relaxing holiday. We will definitely come back and highly recommend.

How do damage deposits work?

If Debbie (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
