This is a beautiful Cotswold stone terraced cottage, ideally located on the edge of the pretty village of Bibury, and can sleep two people in one bedroom.The Retreat is a beautiful Cotswold stone terraced cottage, ideally located on the edge of the pretty village of Bibury, and can sleep two people. This all first floor property is very well-equipped and has a double bedroom, a bathroom with a bath and shower over and an open plan living area with a kitchen, dining area and sitting area. Outside there is off road parking for one car and a shared gravelled garden with a picnic bench. The Retreat is a wonderful cottage for a romantic break at any time of year.
Amenities: Electric central heating. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, TV with Freeview, DVD, radio, WiFi, selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for 1 car. Shared gravelled garden with furniture. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop 10 mins walk, pub 3 mins walk. Note: Adults only.
Region: Visitors to the Cotswolds have long treasured memories of charming towns and villages built from the famous honey-coloured stone, it now boasts a thriving community of contemporary artists working from studios and shops throughout the area.
Town: William Morris called Bibury the most beautiful village in England and today it is world famous as a village which best epitomises the English rural scene. At its centre is an outstanding Saxon church. So important is the village architecturally that the National Trust is closely involved in its preservation - Arlington Row, a row of weavers cottages was restored by the Trust in the 1970s and its distinctive roofline and gables are one of the most photographed scenes in the Cotswolds. The village has a selection of shops, pubs and tearooms and a wider range of amenities are available in the nearby market town of Burford Gateway to the Cotswolds.
