“Thanksgiving Getaway” Beautiful location and our pet was able to come along. We enjoyed the beach, fire pit and weather. The one negative is that our unit was very close to a busy road.

“The Cottage at West 1077 = August 2013” We have stayed in Bandera almost every year since 1997 and this accomodation was by far the best we've ever experienced. A delightful, beautifully appointed cottage in the edge of the Hill Country State Natural area and just a short drive from the centre of 'The Cowboy Capital of the World'. The cottage boasts two bedrooms, a lovely bathroom, spacious lounge and even a well appointed kitchenette. The icing on the cake was the lovely porch complete with rocking chairs and table and chairs, perfect for watching the local wildlife and the sun set over the Hill Country. The owners, Mr & Mrs Kirchner, were really friendly, attentive and couldn't do enough for us. They ensured the cottage was topped up with fresh towels and made sure that our stay was as perfect as possible. All in all, we say without hesitation that we have found our Bandera 'home from home' and will visit again (and again)whenever we can. Thank you Mr & Mrs Kirchner, for letting us stay at your wonderful cottage!

“What a great getaway location to relax and view the secluded private beach and gorgeous ocean view!!!” We stayed in the Lobster Shack which is a cozy clean bungalow which offered a salt water pool with an awesome view of the Gulf waters. Liz is great making sure our needs were met while addressing unexpected refrigerator problems. She is quick to reply contacting a repairman to resolve the issue. Canines are welcome. I miss the relaxation and calmness of the setting yet on Gulf Blvd there are activities to meet everyone's interests. Thank you Liz and love your puppies.❤

“A Real Gem!!!” This cottage is the perfect place for two people. It is truly as beautiful as the pictures! The pool and grounds are exceptional and the view is breathtaking. “Nice and Cozy” We had a great time during Spring Break 2014. We wanted to do something a little different with grandkids this year, and this Cottage was perfect. (We normally go to Gatlinburg) Cottage sits right on the river with the deck actually out over the river. Hot tub was well taken care of and located where we had a nice view of the river. We didn't realize we had scheduled opening day of trout fishing season, but we took advantage, and my son caught several nice fish right on the property. I enjoyed the fact that the cottage is a part of history, (Former Bat Cave Post Office), yet everything was updated with new fixtures and electronics. The beds slept great, and the grand kids loved the game room. Chimney Rock State Park and little downtown area are just a few minutes from the cottage on the same road. We were a little concerned about available dining close by, but were pleasantly surprised with the variety of options. Also used the available stainless Weber grill on the deck. I am certain we will return later in the summer. The owners were very nice, and made us feel like we were appreciated. Overall a very nice and relaxing vacation. (The massage chair was a bonus when I could get the kids out of it)

“Perfection in Marigny!” The house is perfect. The pool is perfect. The tropical garden surrounding the pool is perfect. The little family of chickens, the sweet chihuahua, and cats is perfect (friendly and quiet). The towels and sheets are perfect. The owners are perfect - friendly and warm and welcoming and helpful. The homemade soaps and shampoos (by the owner) are perfect. I didn't get to sample, but Ann even left eggs from the chickens in the fridge! The location is perfect. I know I keep using the same word, but seriously there is no reason to look any further at vacation homes in New Orleans. Stop here, book the Black Diamond, and then count the days until you can chill out in that garden pool with a drink and the company of Ann, Tom, Dot, Lulu, and Buddha. You won't regret it.

“The Perfect Affordable Beach Vacation” My boyfriend and I are long distance in graduate school, so this place was the perfect find for our vacation! The price is amazing and nowhere else can you live across the street from the beach for $100/night. When you walk out the front door, you can see the beach, unobstructed view, and all you have to do is walk across the street to get your feet in the sand! It's also well within walking distance of many restaurants and shops in town, and right next to a dunkin donuts which we indulged in. Do be prepared as you must bring your own towels, toilet paper, paper towels, basic toiletries, soap, etc. The kitchen is equipped with plates/utensils for two and pots and pans that serve well enough for cooking, however we found that the dollar store nearby was a necessary stop for the paper goods and some foil, charcoal for the grill, etc. The service from Cutty Sark was amazing, to say the least! The very first day we locked ourselves out and the front desk gave an extra key, they are open late everyday, have coupons in stock (use them!), and made sure they did everything they could to ensure we had a great stay. We will definitely be coming back next year to enjoy another wonderful stay!
