“Amazing Villa, Fantastic Owner” Just returned from staying at Montecristo. Only word to describe the villa, and Montecristo for that matter, is AWESOME.The owner worked very hard to make our stay as smooth and enjoyable as possible - he couldn't have been better! The views of the Pacific are just amazing. We couldn't get enough. Start of the whale season didn't disappoint - saw numerous whales each day. The villa itself exceeded my expectations. Beautiful. Comfortable. Spacious. Pool and hot tub. All the appliances you need. In Phase 2, it's an easy 5 to 10 minute downhill walk to Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach - which we went to most everyday. We utilized suite service a lot and it was very good. Usually took about an hour but no biggie - relax and have a cold beverage ! We ate at Cibola (the Montecristo clubhouse restaurant) a couple times, and it was great every time. Housekeeping was terrific each day. Don't forget to tip them - they really appreciate it. If you golf, the new Quivira course is a must. Unbelievable. We just loved it - amazing views from every hole. This really is a beautiful property. The villas are top notch. The views unforgettable.

“The house and beach are just perfect for a stylish surf trip a b” The house and guest house are very well maintained and have everything needed for beach living. The surf is challenging and good. “Excellent Experience” We stayed at this Villa and it was an excellent experience. The location was very nice, and there was a great view from all the rooms, great pool/hot tub, and excellent indoor and outdoor space. It was very clean and very well maintained. Overall it was a great experience and no complaints at all. Excellent experience and highly highly recommend it to everyone.

“Remote but beautiful” We really enjoyed our stay at El Encanto. The house was absolutely beautiful and the staff at El Encanto (Maria and alilat) were wonderful, taking care of all our needs. We had a chef prepare dinner one night (thanks, Aurora!) and it was delicious! Leftovers were great too. Pros: Beautiful House with all the trimmings Outdoor patio, pool, hot tub, and grill were fantastic Views to die for Cons: Road from Sjdc a true "country" road. . . needs repaving badly a bit distant from town (may be a pro for some) . . . 40 minutes to Chelleno beach made beach swimming a bit of a drive El Encanto beach not swimable Overall, if you are looking for a quiet, remote villa that checks all the boxes, look no further. The grounds, house, and staff met our every need. If you want to be closer to a swimming beach, shopping, and restaurants, you might consider another location.

“Villa Stein is truly the best whale watching house in Pedregal!” From the moment of our arrival to the day of our departure we were just so pleased with Villa Stein and the awesome staff. The house, the grounds, the pool and deck were stunning. We went to sleep to the sound of the surf and woke up to a beautiful sunrise over the Pacific. Villa Stein is a luxury accommodation and very well appointed. Make sure to have Ismael cook for you at least once! Simply outstanding!! Enjoyed his afternoon margaritas and quesadillas so much!
