“Perfect Bachelorette Weekend” I rented this house for my sister's bachelorette weekend getaway and I couldn't be happier! There was more than enough room for all 9 of us to sleep comfortably and the many bathrooms made it easy for all of the girls to get ready in the morning. The house was clean and homey with a dining room big enough to seat everyone for dinner. We enjoyed having full use of the kitchen which was stocked with plenty of modern appliances that made it easy to prepare meals. The house is in a great location that made it easy for us to spend the day checking out local wineries and a ten minute cab ride from auburn where we went out for an evening of dinner and drinks. I am looking forward to the next occasion where I am able to book the rental again!

Lakeshore Winery Cottage

Romulus cottage

“Renter” Very good location. Just the right size for a couple looking for a quiet getaway from it all. Large number of wineries, cidery, craft brewers, available. A short drive to Ithaca where I recommend the Boat Yard Grill for dining. Pet friendly was a big plus. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. Only drawback was wet firewood made it difficult to start a fire in the fireplace. A wood rack with a tarp would help. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful Seneca Lake - Lakefront Cottage

Geneva cottage

2 bedrooms / 1 bathroom / sleeps 4

“Perfect for a relaxing weekend!” Joe and Pat's cottage is great! The cottage was very clean, well-maintained and well-equipped. We had a wonderful relaxing weekend - in the winter, so I can't comment on the water fun but I'll bet it's great! I can say the fireplace worked just perfectly. Joe and Pat are great to work with and were extremely helpful with information about restaurants and various activities in the Finger Lakes. We certainly hope to be back again - maybe when it's warmer and we can take advantage of the beautiful lakefront area at the cottage. Thanks for sharing your great cottage, Joe and Pat!

beautiful home to relax and bond with family

We loved the house and all the amenities. It's so helpful to have the linens, towels, kitchen basics (and more in this case) provided for you. During this time of year, you can't really use the lake and there isn't anything to do without driving. We came for a family wedding which was 12 miles south along the lake in Aruora. Aside from that, we did take walks along the lake trail and a few of us went for a run and bike rides. The biking is ok if you don't mind riding on route 90 - plenty of room in the shoulder but can get scary when a big rig goes by. We took a boat/wine tour that was nice but a little pricey considering you can pay $5 for 5 tastings of wines if you go to the wineries yourself or if you go to the Thirsty Owl, they will pour more - they didn't seem to keep track. It was $99 for the boat and 3 wine tours with tastings - one was a lunch stop but the lunch was an additional $10 and more if you wanted to buy a beverage. If I were to do it again, I would bring beverages and snacks for the boat rides in between the stops. But back to the house, our large family of 11 was comfortable if you don't mind sharing rooms. For instance, the one bedroom has two queen size beds (I belive they were queen) and mom, dad, daughter and her new husband slept in there. Me and my husband took the room with two queen beds and then another room adjacent to it with a queen and a single. Our 17 teen year old son slept with us in the two queen bed room and our 15 year old twins slept in the adjacent room. So my point, it's not really private but it is comfortable. The beds were comfortable and we loved the large dining room table which was great for our whole family to eat, play games or just sit and talk. We brought most of our meals which I would recommend unless you want to drive at least 10 minutes to buy groceries or go out to eat. At home we live within walking distance of stores and restaurants so bringing meals was what I would prefer.see more
