Just what we needed

Lovely little cottage, very clean and well appointed with the added bonus of catering for pets, they even had spare dog leads , lovely secure garden and a stones throw from the beach, good parking for two cars. negative point is the cottage is close to the road but there is little traffic after dark so a good nights sleep is assured. ideal cottage for a short break away from the maddening crowd Will definitely book this cottage again … see more

Happy Easter

We had a nic Easter week at Rookwoods with a family of four (with two kids aged 9 + 11). The scenery was very quiet as the house is on the edge of the little town of Sible Heddingham and dthe garden looked into the countryside. We could park our car in front of the house - no problem. The kitchen equipment was OK - less than you have at home, but normal for a rented cottage I assume. The only strange thing to us was that we never got to know the owner, although she seems to live on the same property... … see more

Very cosy british House

The St. Elmo Town House in West Mersea is very lovely and cosy. With its three Bedrooms it is very spacy. The kitchen is very well organized and bright. The breakfast for two or three persons is possible to have in the kitchen, all other meals are better taken in the dining room. The Bathrooms were very nice and the handkerchiefs were very smooth...The garden – in january – wasn't really needed, but Felix, the little CKChSp, loved it, because it is guided at all sides.
