“awesome beautiful place” I can't say enough about this. Place, perfect I guess Serene, peaceful,beautiful, quiet. Djuna the owner is Sweet and very efficient and provides every detail. The Whole are is perfect Oct a getaway, things to do places To shop,eat or just cuddle in with a fire. We will Definetly be returning as soon as we can.:)))

“A great retreat” Staying here while on vacation (a bit off-season) was a wonderful retreat from the hustle and bustle of home. The front porch was a great place to relax and play games with friends, the full kitchen allowed us to share great meals, private lake access made kayaking a blast, and proximity to local restaurants and shops as well as the Chataqua Institute made our trip the perfect combination of fun & relaxation!

“Best Vacation!” I asked each of my kids to sum our stay at O'Cottage and they each yelled "Best vacation!" My wife agreed! It was great to take a break from the whirlwind of kids' activites to spend a week here in peace and quiet. The location on the lake is easily one of the best. We loved waking up to the water and going to bed after the campfire dwindled. The house is spacious and tidy and the outdoor shower is a treat. The owner is quick to respond to questions and the booking process was easy. Would I recommend this place to a friend? No! I want it all for myself! Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with my family!

“Location, ammenities, comfort!” Laura's helpful, friendly manner made us feel welcome even before we arrive. Her beautiful home is centrally located with tons of room for everyone to spread out and relax. The beds were very comfortable, so we all got a good night's sleep which is a must for me with my bad back. The living room is spacious and open with a two story ceiling and lots of comfortable seating. I particularly enjoyed the clean, well equipped kitchen. With a small grocery just a convenient walk away, we were able to easily relax and "eat in" for a few meals and the back patio was perfect for conversation and drinks after dinner. We also enjoyed a long walk though the trees in Pease Park which is just a couple of blocks away. More ambitious souls jogged or biked but it was so pretty and peaceful we just took our time. An austin treasure tucked away on a quiet street just minutes from downtown and the UT campus, this is definitely a 5 star rental. We plan to rebook this gem next time we come to town for UT football games!

“Relaxing!” Group of friends headed out of town for the weekend. We had a wonderful time. Close by to Wildcat Mountain State Park, clean hot tub, and full kitchen for making homemade pizzas and pancakes :) Definitely consider Birch Lake Getaway if you are in need of a winter escape.

“Nice place and good Landlord” We have group of 9 people spent 4 days at this property in March 13 We all have a wonderful time. The house is in good shape, landlord is very responsible and easy to work with. They have a private dock and boat.

“Beautiful home” We had a week long stay scheduled. It was beautiful. The house was amazing and the view was perfect. We had to cut our trip short though. There are so many stairs and the stairs down to the river were way too much. I wouldnt suggest this property for anyone with health conditions, pregnancy or small children with them. It would be perfect for young couples or older groups who are in excellent shape. Jeff Hayes was amazing to deal with as was Flip Key advisors. It was such a smooth way to book a beautiful home. I will definitely use them again in the future.

“A very relaxing and beautiful place.” The owners are very organized and friendly. Our cabin was very relaxing with great scenery and all the amenities of home plus more. The large deck was very nice with lots of seating, the hot tub, and outside stereo speakers. The location is tucked back in a beautiful secluded area. The directions they provided were easy to follow. We look forward to our next visit so we can enjoy fishing in the lake. The weather wasn't very cooperative (rainy) but it was still a perfect place to rest, relax and enjoy a good book!

“Perfect for Beach Lovers” The views from this Condo are amazing. You cannot get better access to the beach!!! Everything was clean and well done aesthetically. We enjoyed our time, especially my husband who loves the Atlantic Ocean, thoroughly. Onsite parking is a great asset as is the elevator to the 4th floor. Helena and Robert were gracious and very accommodating. Would go back in a heartbeat! .

“Great Location and Condo” Great Condo and Location I can't say enough great things about this location and condo, we arrived on Monday and by that afternoon my husband was already wanting to set a date for a return trip. We decided to try to return for the week after Christmas since he's a teacher and the kids will be out of school. This location is wonderful for a family, it has a great pool as well as being really close to the beach. My concern was that I wouldn't be able to get my teenagers out of the Condo since they brought the PS3 and each have cellphones. Once we hit the beach they had a wonderful time and we couldn't get them out of the water. The beach was clean and wasn't crowded at all. Perhaps it was the time of year or that it was during the week but it wasn't crowded until Friday and we had been out almost everyday. We also ate at Doc's Local Restaurant which had a very nice view and the food was good. I haven't had guacamole with crab, pretty tasty. Also we went to Port Aransas and took the Red Pirate Ship tour, it had a cute show for little ones or for the "young at heart". We enjoyed our stay thoroughly and will certainly be returning soon. You will enjoy your stay at this condo even if it is just for a get away. There wasn't a lot of loud music or noise around the complex either, which I really enjoyed while we were sitting out on the patio having coffee in the morning or drinks in the evening. “Love it--would return again!” Jeffrey was very friendly, accommodating, helpful and professional as we were booking the cabin. Cabin was beautifully furnished and large enough to fit 8 of us. 5 min drive to Hunter Mountain. Very cozy and comfortable--loved it and would love to return again sometime in the future!

“Absolutely fabulous!” Very clean & neat, everything you would need as far as kitchen, etc.- gas grill, pots/pans, cooking utensils, baggies/foil/wrap. “Perfect Family Vacation Spot!” We scoured this and other websites for two months looking for the perfect spot for our first vacation as a young family of four... and we found it at this lovely home! Around every corner was exciting new activities for both kids and adults. At the end of each day of our stay, my three-year-old and one-year-old each passed out with exhaustion after a day of playing at the beach, marveling at nearby waterfalls, exploring the lake via kayaks and canoes, and playing with the numerous toys and books throughout the house. And when they did pass out, we adults got to enjoy grilled steaks and a nice bottle of wine overlooking beautiful sunsets over the lake from the second floor deck. I think my three-year-old said it best: "I love the lake house daddy; can we come back again and again?" Indeed. Great owners as well -- thorough, clean, and responsive.
