“This is a gorgeous and spacious lake home with plenty of amentities for adults and child. 5 Stars!!!!” This property is on a gorgeous location on top of a small hill. The view of the lake from the house is breathtaking. Our group enjoyed our stay thoroughly and we took full advantage of the amenities in the property like out door fire pit, hammock, boats/kayak allowed by the home-owner to be used by us. The house has enough space--we were a group of 9 people and the space was ample however there is only one shower so that might be a limitation. the kitchen was very spacious and had all the stuff needed for cooking. It would have been nice if there was a functional grill for using outdoors--the one that was there was kind of old and did not work very well. There was some strange odor in the dishwasher but that might be because of its limited usage. Overall, this place is highly recommended for vacation stay. The owners were really nice and friendly and the view and location is absolutely spectacular! My Response Thank you for your kind words. I do want to say that we have replaced the outdoor grill. I'm sorry you had trouble with it. I checked the dishwater also but could not smell or see anything in the trap. We disconnected the plumbing to examine and clean. Whatever the odor was, it's gone. “Most beautiful place we've ever rented.” We loved the cabin. It was perfect for our size family (10). The huge balcony with the incredible views was the perfect beginning and ending to each day. Everything we needed to prepare meals was available and there was more than enough room in the kitchen for several of us to work. Thanks for having such a well stocked facility. “Awesome Cabin!!” My husband and I rented this property for the July 4th weekend. His sister and her husband traveled with us. At first we thought we were going to the end of the Earth, but after finding the cabin we were all very pleased. It was very nice! Clean, spacious, and private. Giving each couple their own bedroom and bathroom. Best of all, Liz, is an amazing hostess, checking in with us daily to be sure everything was perfect. I would highly recommend this cabin for a nice relaxing weekend.

“Amazing Horse Property 10 Min from Beach” I traveled to the Ranch by The Sea with my family. We had a large group with age range from age 5 to 75 years of age. This is the perfect destination for any age. Bob the owner was a terrific host. He showed us everything we needed to know about how to use everything on the property. He also gave us suggestions of restaurants, bars, and best places to go to the beach which was very helpful since we were not familiar with the area. Anything we needed we just had to text or call him and he was available. There is plenty to do on the property no matter what age you are. There are many private rooms with tvs if you are just looking to relax and have some quite time. There are also many common areas to have fun with others to play pool, arcade games, ping pong etc and not disturb anyone else. There is a large patio with a fantastic view overlooking the pool and San Diego. Every evening around sunset you would see hot air balloons in the sky that would take off around Del Mar Race Track. There are also great sunsets to the west that fill the sky with vibrant orange and pink colors that everyone loved! Both the kids and adults loved the pool and hot tub. There is a shallow end and a diving board so a little bit for everyone. There is plenty of seating by the pool to watch the kids or just lounge and kick back and sun tan. If you are a horse lover this property is a must. There are horses on property with a large riding arena. The owner gave both kids and adults very fun and informative riding lessons. He is very knowledgeable about horses and riding. He is fun but informative and safe all at the same time. So whether you are an experienced rider or first timer everyone can have a great time. The house is very large with many different bedrooms. It is great because you can have a large group but everyone can have piece and quite and their own space which we all thought was great. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to stay in the San Diego area. We definitely didn't want to leave and will be coming back soon to do it again.

“The best of the best” I have been visiting and staying in rental places in Western NC for many years and the Kilkelly Cabin has no peer. The cabin is perfect and the views other worldly but the best part of the experience are the hosts. Joanie and Gary made sure our stay was more than we ever could have imagined. We celebrated my son's graduation from App St, my Mom's 80th birthday and Mother's Day all in one spectacular long weekend. It literally could not have been better. 5 stars are not nearly enough. “Home away from home” I own my own business, so any time away is especially precious. Kilkelly's West Wing Cottage was the perfect fit. Unlike the institutional feel of a hotel room, the West Wing is like a home away from home. Immediately, we felt comfortable and relaxed. The rooms were exceptionally clean and well kept. The rooms were equipped with every possible item anyone would need, even a tea kettle and grill accessories for the gas grill. The commercial like ice maker was an unexpected surprise. They even provided a small cooler for day trips. Normally in a hotel room, I am loathe to touch anything and notice the dirt and traces of previous guests. Immediately you can see how clean and welcoming the West Wing is - I had no hesitation using any of the amenities. We are very picky travelers and the West Wing exceeded our expectations. The breakfast casserole was so good I even got the recipe! There are several televisions with satellite, DVD, Blue-Ray, etc - available but we never even turned them on. It was so relaxing enjoying the sunrise, sunset and mountain views, we had no need for the outside world. We would not hesitate to come back and highly recommend the West Wing! :)
