“Perfect Place for a Railroad History Buff” If you are a train buff, don't you want to try the incredible experience of staying in a caboose? The restored caboose has many amenities including a kitchenette, deck with a barbecue, beautiful surroundings, DVD player and tv, and a lovely family as hosts. “Impeccable accommodations” We came to Vancouver for a family visit and could not have been luckier to stay at Haddon House. It was beautifully appointed, well stocked and centrally located to our needs. Our hosts, Johannes & Marie-Louise were delightful and most helpful. The proximity to Deer Lake was a bonus for lovely walks and biking. All in all, a top notch experience.

“It's Delightful, It's Delicious, It's De-lovely!” One would think that Cole Porter wrote those lyrics after visiting Ye Olde Manor House! The owners, Karen Fulbright-Anderson and John anderson, are a delightful, warm, welcoming couple. They are so friendly and engaging that you feel at home almost as soon as you arrive. And their home reminds me of an English Country Cottage with the many comfortable seating areas and nooks and crannies expected. There is also a beautiful green lawn with several flowering beds and many lovely spots for sitting. But the piece de resistance of the public areas is the year-round indoor/outdoor pool, with a depth of no more than 5 feet, which makes it perfect for swimmers and non-swimmers (me) alike. First, and most importantly, each guest room has it's own private bath stocked with lovely smelling potions and lotions, big, soft, fluffy bath towels and anything else that you might need. Second, the rooms are lovely. I stayed in the 'Oak Room', which is filled with antique oak furniture and is perfect for one person. There is a chair for reading, a beautiful antique trunk that you can sit on use for your luggage and antique lamps, doilies and trinkets. There were two other guest rooms nearby, but I slept like a baby and never heard anyone else! The breakfast that John and Karen offer negates the need for lunch! You have a choice of Vegan, Vegetarian or the Meat and Dairy eaters breakfast, and everything they prepare is delicious! Finally, there are plenty of other things to do nearby-walking around the Lake, hiking, visiting the quaint Town of Elkhorn, attending concerts and, my favorite, antique fairs!! My long weekend at Ye Olde Manor House was so enjoyable and relaxing that it left me feeling as though I'd spent a week at a spa. Writing about it is making me feel the same way all over again. I can't wait to visit again!!!

“Pet-Friendly Destingation” As a 'Pet-Blogger', I am always looking for great places to holiday with our two dogs Henry, and Reese. More specifically, somewhere we can 'enjoy' with the dogs without having to worry about what to do with them when we visit restaurants, shops or go sightseeing. The Dolphin Inn was the perfect place to stay! This trip was arranged as a group get together; my husband, parents, in-laws and sister with her husband and two small children. The spacious accommodation meant no one felt as if they were tripping over one another. Although we didn't eat evening meals as a group, we enjoyed breakfast together at a large table located beside the spacious kitchen on the upper level. Because of the layout and quiet location of the Inn, we were comfortable leaving Henry and Reese to relax comfortably when we went out to do 'people only' things. Our hosts were very helpful with suggestions regarding things to do and see in the area. Upon arrival we found guides with locations and contact information, as well as preferred rates on several activities for guests of the Inn. I am happy to recommend The Dolphin Inn to groups or families with or without dogs!

“Great home -- everything you need -- close to PanAm pool” We rented Minoo's fabulous house while visiting Toronto with 3 Paralympic Athletes who competed at the new PanAm Pool this past March. We appreciated the roomy house, full kitchen, 4 bedrooms, comfortable beds, lots of extras and a nice, quiet neighborhood. Minoo was there to greet us when we arrived and was a terrific and conscientious host. We will stay there again.

“Beautiful Views, Comortable and Relaxing Home” As you drive into the beautifully graveled driveway and see the ocean at the side of the house you just know that this will be a relaxing vacation. When you enter the house you are invited in by a well equipped kitchen that leads into a beautiful family/living room. Downstairs there is a bedroom with a double bed and a three piece bathroom. Upstairs the master bedroom is the full width of the house with a picture window looking out into St. Margaret's Bay. Upstairs at the back of the house is a lovely bedroom with two double beds. As our friends had traveled from the UK we gave the upstairs bedrooms to them and took the down stairs ourselves. Back down on the ground floor the living room leads out onto a large deck which is fantastic for bbq's and just relaxing. This in turn leads to a large grassy area which in turn leads to a small private beach. The area around the house has many services and features and I can sincerely recommend it to anybody that wants a relaxing vacation within easy traveling distance of Halifax and the South Shore. All in all an excellent location and great value for money.

“Spectacular, Serene Sunrises - Fantastic House” We had a wonderful time at Water's Edge. The house was beautifully appointed and situated in one of the best spots in Nassau, directly on the ocean and overlooking the sea and other islands. A special moment every day is sunrise, as you can look out with a cup of coffee on the patio as the glowing sun seems to rise out of the ocean into the sky. The house has all the comforts of home with a well-stocked kitchen, plenty of games, and comfortable beds. The owner, Mark, is extremely helpful and always on hand for any help you need. Best vacation ever!

“Best family holiday we have had in ages” This is a really lovely place. The pool area and cabana are private and very user friendly. Beach in the morning and sheltered pool area in the afternoon, ideal with 3 teenagers. Bedrooms are spacious and everything works. We didn't bother with a/c just opened the house up and used the ceiling fans. Plenty of living space and room for people to do their own thing if they wanted to. Close to most things but far enough away from noise and crowds. It helps that Maui is absolutely brilliant. Andrew leaves you alone but is readily available to help with any minor issues. The kids said it was the best family holiday they have been on in ages. We agree.

“Relaxing and carefree” We had such a wonderful and memorable weekend. Very picturesque and ever so quiet when you're there mid season. There were wineries and breweries within a short driving distance, and the local restaurants are spot on. I would not suggest using GPS, it gets you in the vicinity but not to the right house. Thank goodness for pictures of the house. The kitchen is absolutely beautiful, but bring your own trash bags and sandwich bags etc. The master bath and bed is very nice. We loved the bed so much that we are buying a mattress exactly like it because we slept so well. My only other suggestion would be to have the house ready for arrival. The house was cold, and the entry way was not swept, I picked up a few pieces of trash laying around on the driveway, but I am a Manager of a very nice Boutique Hotel so I notice these small things. All in all it was so lovely and I would definitely stay again.

“Relaxed informal atmosphere with wonderful views and great hosts” Have stayed here many times that is a recommendation in itself.Met my brother his wife and daughter from California and New York who like me loved it.It's like home from home, the house is light and airy tastefully furnished with a wonderful wrap around terrace with views of the golf coarse and coast. Very quite and peaceful with a large pool you could be the only one there. A barbecue area and one of Carol's rum punches and all your cares disappear.

“A great and fun place to stay” The house is spectacular. Very very well stocked and the manager Al made sure we had everything we needed and even came out a couple of times to quickly address any concerns we had. Very very close access to the beach and dock. Garage well stocked with water toys, chairs, fishing rods, etc. Everything you need. Abundant toiletries, towels, games and entertainment made for a very comfortable stay. Gift basket was a nice touch. Super easy checkout! We will definitely look to rent from again if we ever come back to the area, which we hope to do someday. Thanks!

“Kacz Week” 4 adults and 2 young boys, 4 and 8, spent a week at this home. Had a wonderful time, really enjoyed the home, the community and the salt water pool. Minutes from the beach, we went to Fenwick State Park Beach many times. Great waves, people and not over-crowded! The home is exceptionally clean with just the right balance and layout. A big bedroom/bath on the main floor is perfect for the elderly. This owner has collected/added many neat things for the kids to use: bikes, toys, games, etc. and being the end unit, you have a private side yard with no traffic. I highly recommend a stay at Eagles Rest.

“A Place in the Woods to Dream and Live Your Dream” My mouth dropped when I stepped into artYcottage and was surrounded by so much beauty, creativity and originality. It was endless. Everywhere I looked there were remarkable details that were executed with perfection. Rich colors and varied textures everywhere. Everything handmade from the quilts to the furniture to the faucets and tiling and even the soap! One day it was 80 degrees and I enjoyed reading on a chaise on the deck. Then the very next day it was snowing and I was lucky to be there to enjoy the beauty of nature's softness covering the branches of trees. I stayed in that day by the fire my wonderful host, Tom, built. Tom and his stunning and bubbly wife, Margaret, made me feel at home with their warmth and sensitivity. From now on I will definitely be staying here on my twice yearly trips to ashland!
