“A home from home...” An idyllic location with a house full of all the essentials for a short family break. Both children and Grandma were happy! “Total Comfort in a Peaceful Setting” From the start we were made to feel welcome with a tea tray and bara brith. The cottage is warm and has everything you'll need for a relaxing stay. The village is peaceful and the villagers very friendly. If you do stay in abbey-cwm-hir make sure you visit The Hall - its an experience not to be missed - a true jewel in Wales' Crown. The church in the village is very pretty and well worth a visit. We'll do our best to stay at Happy Union Stables again.

“Secluded but not remote, very comfortable” There was a real attention to detail in the cleanliness and preparation of the rental. It made 'moving in' so easy. The log burner and comfortable beds made the environment one in which to instantly relax being able to watch superb skies pass by Wonderful cycling and walking. Access to interesting places and Hay on Wye was fantastic for pottering and bookshops. The kitchen at Hiraeth made cooking a pleasure - there are places to eat round and about but you do need to drive to them. Staying in was no hardship Beautiful and characterful properly, wonderfully presented and plenty of space for boots, wet kit and outdoor clothing. Superb walking straight out of the back door and up on to the hills.

“Cwm Irfon Lodge is amazing” I stayed at Cwm Irfon Lodge in a group of 10 friends, all cyclists from London escaping for the bank holiday weekend for a spot of training in the beautiful Welsh hills. It was Gyles and Karen that made our weekend so wonderful though. Before setting out in the mornings we were treated to coffee, porridge and a cooked breakfast -- the perfect way to start a day 2ith 100-150km riding ahead of us. Best of all though was comeing back of an afternoon/evening to a sauna and the most incredible dinners. Gyles and Karen and genuinely talented cooks and there's nothing better to mend tired bodies then a beautiful, big dinner with friends in the their cosy dining room! I can't recommend Cwm Irfon Lodge highly enough. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the surrounding countryside is mind-bogglingly beautiful and our hosts were perfect in every way. Great for a family stay too I would imagine and would definitely consider staying there again with my wife and two boys!
