“Perfect setting” We travelled to Candidasa in Jan 2013 for 8 days (2 adults & 3 kids 11,8 & 4). We stayed in Jogolo and the accommodation was exactly as pictured. It was very comfortable & clean. We all had an amazing stay mostly relaxing by the pool and are all very much looking forward to another stay. We were delighted by the hospitality offered by Iouri and the lovely staff. We have no hesitation recommending the accommodation as it was really lovely.

“Wonderful experience” We had a wonderful week here, Detu (our butler) looked after every need for us, meals that we had here were superb. Travelling around Bali ourselves meant that location was not a problem. The villa had every thing we needed to enjoy our stay here and we hope to return here soon. “Most relaxing vacay ever! Gem on the Ocean.” Our family had such a wonderful time at Villa Talia Vashti. We were happy with the location (at first we thought it was too far away from everything) as it was quiet and we were able to get a true sense of Bali; not the Westernized side. The staff were friendly and they were there when we needed them, but did not hover. We felt pampered - every need & question was answered. Tom made a map of Snorkeling in front of the villa! My boys went out quite a bit and loved every minute! We dove Tulamben & Manta Bay - both fantastic dives! We ate breakfast in and dinner most of our time there at the Villa. Who could resist the amazing food and atmosphere only the Villa and staff could create. No grocery shopping, no cooking, no dishes or clean up - a Mom's dream! We did need a driver to get anywhere notable. There were many drivers (for approx $30 a day!!!) on hand. We took a couple day trips to Ubud, Kuta, Padang Bai, Water Palace, temples, ancient villages, and used the driver for lunch or dinner trips. Took us to see the monkeys, water rafting, etc. Highly recommend someone drive you as driving conditions are sketchy. We mostly used Wayan (a local there in Candi Dasa) - he is awesome! *Note: We are a family of 4 (boys 14y & 19y) - American Expats living in Sydney Au. So, by American and Aussie standards - a true gem! This was by far the best and most relaxing vacation we have ever taken. We will be back!

“Consistently exceptional!” My friends always ask me why I keep going back to Villa Wilali and the answer is really simple. I've travelled all over the world in search of a piece of paradise and nothing compares to wilali for relaxation, privacy and pampering! Everything is affordable, the food is great, the snorkeling is amazing and the weather warm. The yoga on the lawn was brilliant and the massages by the ocean are divine. The whole experience is pure bliss.

“Your private paradise with large pool and seaview at Bali.” We have stayed for a week at the villa and it was really a 5 star experience. Villa Bersama has is a very spacious accomodation with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a large pool and situated at the beach. Add to this the excellent staff who cleans, cooks and does the laundry. Chief Ketut makes all kind of delicious local dishes. A driver is available at a reasonable rate and the villa is guarded 24/7. There is a lot of interesting things to do and to see in the environment and our highlight was our private "taxi ride" to the dolphins at sea. We were picked up in front of the villa at sea by a local fisherman who took us to dolphins. We saw hundreds of them, a breathtaking experience!

“The best one yet” We arrived at the Bintang parking lot, met by 3 guys who are going to take our bags. Up a "rustic" stairs, down a path behind the grocery, then another path, then another..."what did we get into?" Last turn and you look across a rice field and find heaven. Beautiful grounds, great pool, almost total quiet, spotless, great breakfast...yet you're still maybe 15 minutes total walk in to "downtown" Ubud or 10 minutes up the stream bed and turn up into Penestanan. I'm doubtful that you can match this for privacy yet proximity to Ubud shopping and sightseeing. Landlord was incredibly responsive to emails. Driver/Guide most helpful. This was, just simply, one of those place that you kind of want to denigrate a bit so it will be available the next time for us, because we will return. The pictures understate the beauty and you can't hear the quiet in a photo. This is one to not overlook if you like privacy and still like to see what Ubud has to see and do.

“Great location and service!” I recently stayed at Baruna Villa with my boyfriend and another couple and had a wonderful stay. We originally tried to book at Marta's, which was booked but the owner suggested we stay at Baruna (they share ownership) which turned out to be less expensive than staying at a hotel and we had the whole villa to ourselves! The villa is a great property -- very spacious, clean and nicely decorated. It is in a perfect location, a short walk or bike ride from the beach, restaurants, etc but tucked away from the more developed areas of the island so it stays quiet and feels more private. A few bikes are provided free of charge, so it's very easy to get around the island. The only complaint was that the internal walls in the villa were quite thin so you can easily hear conversations/noise through the walls -- but not a big problem since you'll likely rent the villa with friends or family. The best part about Baruna was absolutely the service. There are a couple of staff who stay at the villa (in separate quarters) who make breakfast each morning, can do laundry if needed and are around to help with directions or to answer any questions -- they were all lovely and very helpful. Joanna, who manages the property, was hugely helpful to us throughout our stay. She helped us book transportation to the villa from Bali and met us at the boat dock to take us to the villa. She also helped us book activities on the island (a day boat trip), provided restaurant recommendations and even helped us book flights and transport to our next destination on Lombok! She really went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of.
