“Great Family Rental” We spent a month here with our adult children and grandson. It was really nice having two separate living spaces on two levels and the pool was lovely. We love staying in Penestanan...an easy walk into Ubud and much quieter. This is our fourth villa rental with Steve and we will be back!

“Our stay at the Villa Palm Kuning was ideal.” The villa was lovely and provided all of the facilities that we could possibly want. The building itself was spotless and well maintained. We cannot say enough about the young man Wayan who cooked and cleaned for us. Even on the final day when we were leaving early he came to see us off to make sure that everything was OK and waited with us until our van arrived. We woulrd also like to thank Steve Castley who made the arrangements for us. This is the fourth time we have rented a villa through him and we have never been disappointed.

“Modern, Comfortable and Secure” We enjoyed our stay in Villa asri. It is modern, well appointed, comfortable and secured by a surrounding wall - not that we felt threatened in any way, quite the contrary. Penestanan is a wonderful village close to Ubud. It has a number of good cafe/restaurants, some with entertainment, and is surrounded by pretty interlaced pathways which take you through lush picturesque countryside. Our villa was serviced by 'houseboy' Kadek, who cleans, changes sheets and provides breakfast and has a delightful, unassuming personality. We used a motor bike to get to Ubud in approx 5-10 minutes, subject to traffic, and there is a taxi service close by. It is about a 20 minute walk. Our only problem was the internet connection but the villa manager, Steve, provided us with two modems from different providers which fixed it most of the time. Recommended for its fabulous location, comfort and amenities.

“Very nice and relaxing vacation” Stayed 8 days at Villa Lovina and have to say the staff, housekeeping, gardner, and Yuni the cook couldn't have been better! We wanted a vacation that we could just sit and relax not have to leave villa and the staff allowed us to do this My husband said most relaxing vacation he has ever had! Villa was nice needs to be updated a little beds were great had some small issues like light bulbs out took until day before we left to get someone to fix but Yuni was on top of all issues we had making sure manager was aware of problem. Food was really good I must say Yuni is an excellent cook we had her cook 3 meals a day for us and can't complain at all! Chocho the gardner new I wanted the fish pond in front of villa to work so he took time and made it work so I could see what it looked like with the water falling over the wall it is so beautiful and very thoughtful of him to work on it I guess manager hasn't gotten fish food in awhile so of course I had to have some so Yuni went and got for me so I hope next guest enjoys feeding the fish as much as I did, I would recommend this villa to my friends cause the staff is so good!! Hope I can come again!

“Perfect place for family” I spent a very pleasant vacation at Pondok Dukuh Soca with my extended family including my parents and 2 young kids. The villa is perfect for family, spacious open living room for everybody gathering together, well designed pool for kids, and 3 bedrooms all with ensuite bathroom. The kichen is also good with all facilities needed so we used it several times when my parents wanted home made food instead of eating out everyday. Very friendly staff, they are 'invisible' most of time so provided us good feeling of privacy, while offered everything we needed when we asked for. The main staff Azan is a very nice person and helped us in finding taxies, suggesting places to go, etc. The maid cooked delicious breakfast. There is also a security man kept watching the villa all overnight, which made us feel safe. The villa is 2 km from Ubud center in a village, with rice fields around, pieceful and quite just as I wished, while it's easy to go to any place since renting a taxi is so easy and cheap. We also rented a scooter so as to go to market, just ask Azan for it, and it will be sent to the villa. Moreever, I left a bag in the villa, and Maryse kindly agreed to mail it to Beijing... I felt so happy I made the decision to stay with Pondok Dukuh Soca, although I had some hesitation when I rented it because there is no review then. I hope my review will bring more guests to it, it indeed deserves it.

“Beautiful - Friendly - Great Service” I must say we picked a great villa for our 1st trip to Bali. From the day we were picked up till the day we left was magical. Lobo the house boy is very lovely and gave us great advise on were to go and also cooked a beautiful brekky every morning. This villa is located in a great spot. WIFI - 2 TVs and loads of DVD's to watch on your lazy days:) Plus the pool :) Steve the owner is just a 10sec walk to if you need anything. The Spa is also a 10sec walk to and Bayus kitchen - OMG YUM we went there all the time and you can also have food delivered. and Yes its also a 10 sec walk. Ubud central is only a 20 min walk or a 2min drive from either the friendly guys on the scooter up the road or via car on the cnr. Ubud is magical and we are coming back in March STEVE.

“Beautiful and Peaceful Villas” Absolutely beautiful location on a hill overlooking a mountain range in Ubud. I enjoyed relaxing in the lounge, dining and infinity pool area which looks out onto the mountain range. Very peaceful ambience with water flowing throughout the property. The rooms are spacious with an outdoor bathroom / shower and the whole property is completed to a high specification. The staff are very friendly and courteous and the food is delicious. The perfect place to relax and get away from it all.

“Magnificent villa with beautiful jungle views” We recently stayed at Villa Indah and it was a fantastic holiday. The villa is located on the edge of a beautiful jungle valley with a river below. It is a short walk on a concrete pathway to many restaurants and cafes. The village of Penestanan is also known as "the young artist's village" and it is a fascinating area of Ubud to explore. The villa is new and maintained to a wonderful standard by the houseboy Wayan who was charming, meticulous and a wonderful cook (the omelettes were delicious). I will definately return to Villa Indah with my family. We were really impressed that the pool was fenced, thus making a totally safe environment for toddlers. The villa itself is beautiful with a well equipped kitchen, luxurious bed linen, wi-fi and cable T.V. The villa is fantastic value for the price.
