“Above our expectations.” Alcatraz was above our expectations. Perfect for our family. Swimming off the dock was awesome and there is little boat traffic so it is quite peaceful. Yara is an amazing and gracious host and made sure all our questions were answered, and we were well set up. With the bbq, ample sleeping space, hammock, canoes and kayaks it was a delight. The only downside for us, as people who sleep on memory foam, is we found the mattresses a little hard, otherwise a joy!

“Perfect getaway!” The Dacha is the perfect spot to get away from the chaos of the city. Situated on a great beach and nestled into the trees, you can get lost in nature. Waking up to the waves on the bay, after a great night's sleep in luxurious beds, relaxing in the steam shower before making breakfast in the great kitchen is a great way to start the day. Any time of year is a great time to spend at the Dacha. Summers are spectacular. The bay is much more enjoyable to swim in, rather than a Muskoka lake.The winter vistas are spectacular, and the wood stove makes it a warm and inviting spot to relax. I can't wait to get back!
