“Best Place to stay in Mahabaleshwar, feels like home :-)” This place is truly heaven..located in Panchanani with so close to nature... Views are amazing ..everything in the bungalow is carefully selected for a homely feel. Owners are great to talk , the whole experience from booking till checkout was just great! This ancient Hindu temple was carved into the solid rock on orders from King Krishna I in AD 760 to represent Kailash, Shiva's Himalayan home. 200,000 tons of rock had to be removed using hammer and chisel to get this temple finished. It’s quite a spectacular sight to see!

The Ajanta caves are well worth seeing, too! They line the horseshoe gorge on the Waghore River and provide a fascinating attraction for your vacation. Five of the caves are prayer halls, and others are monasteries. Some are the early Buddhist caves and others date from 5th century AD. It’s a good ideal to join a private tour so you can get the most out of your visit.

For all you history buffs, go to the fortress of Janjira. Built on an island 500m offshore, it's one of the most spectacular forts on this stretch of coastline. Take a look!

Excellent Stay at Devrai Farm

During a recent family outing to Kashid, we happened to come across a little gem of a place known as the Devrai Farm.Located 9 kms from the beach,the place is very good value for money.The property is essentially a small farm which has been let out by the owners.A caretaker with his family is available on the premises to service the needs of the guest.The bungalow in itself is large and spacious.It comes with a living room,two bedrooms,a separate dining area and a big kitchen.There is also this cozy place on mezzanine floor complete with mattresses and plug points,the kind of place which makes me want to turn into a fifteen year old with a couple of friends to watch movies on the laptop and snack on munchies. The bungalow also has a big-ish porch,furnished with some innovative tyre chairs. Each of the bedrooms has an attached western washroom.Running hot water is available but advance notice to the caretaker is required.The kitchen is well equipped with basic kitchenware (spoons/cups/plates/knives) and also has a double burner stove.The living room has a TV equipped with a Tata Sky connection.The entire property (including the washrooms) is immaculately clean.For the car,there is a covered parking space,which also doubles up as a machaan to give you some nice views.There was also a garden of sorts with marigolds and bananas and aubergines, quite an eclectic collection, but very neatly kept.Food can be arranged by the caretaker if you inform him well in advance,else one can place an order at the nearby hotels.In our case we told him what we wanted for dinner, and he arranged for the same from the hotel.In my interactions with the owners via email/phone, I found them to be warm and genuinely concerned about ensuring my well being.During my stay I also received a call from them, to check if everything was as per satisfaction. My new home away from home in India!

I haven't even started the review and already I am hoping The Pad will be available for my next trip! There is no need to stay in a hotel if this rental is not booked. It is very private, and in a perfect location for someone who wants to go out exploring on their own, and not worry about getting lost. Autos are readily available on every street nearby, plenty of shops, and even a park with a long nature view walk. Safe, clean, convenient location, and the owner treated me more like a personal guest than a business transaction. The flat is on the 4th floor of a modern block in Mullund, a pleasant suburb of Mumbai. The flat has a separate kitchen and bathroom. The block has a lift. The people in the area were very friendly. Mullund has a suburban station, with frequent trains to the city centre. There is a charming small park near the flat. There are shops, including an excellent bakery, and several Indian restaurants nearby. Sachin, who speaks excellent English, met us at Thane station, as we arrived by train from Goa, and then escorted us to Mullund and the flat. He also ensured we caught the right train when we left. A fun time at a great place

As a large group of friends we had been planning to have a holiday for sometime and had narrowed down our search to Dala Rooster.After having read the previous reviews expectations were high and we were not disappointed at all. Leaving scenic beauty aside which was abundant ,the place itself was very comfortable.
