“Maputo at its best” I have been to Maputo several times before on work staying up to one month at a time. After a terrible two weeks in an hotel I decided to look for alternatives. I found Maputo Hotel Flat through a co-worker that had had some excelent reviews and decided to move. The apartment is a one bedroom apartment with lounge and kitchen, There is wireless internet that was much faster than the hotel and even faster than some of the offices I was working from. The apartment, is part of a larger house where the owners live with their two children however you have your own entrance to the apartment. The owners were lovely and after some time, they almost made me feel like I was part of the family. Furthermore they gave me great advise on places to go, how to bargain, things to do etc. The house was also daily cleaned and my clothes were washed and ironed every day. If time was pressing their cook would leave a great home cooked meal ready for me for when I got back which is simply wonderful. The location of the house also helps as it is situated in one of the old residence neighbourhoods of Mozambique close to a very nice park and the restaurant filled Julius Nherere. This is definitly the first time where work became a bit of a holiday and I can say that I know feel more at home in Maputo. Thank you Gabriel and Dadinha for being a great part of this and hope to see you again very soon.
