“a remarkable holiday detination” I could not recommend Buchanan Lodge highly enough. The house is architecturally beautiful, very comfortably and stylishly fitted out and in the most breath taking setting you could ever hope to find yourself. A truly remarkable holiday spot. if you are skiing at Cardrona, be prepared for a decent drive each morning and evening, however when you get home and pour yourself a gin and tonic you will forget the drive. Very happy memories (and spectacular photos) for my whole family.

“Absolutely perfect place to stay for our wedding weekend” Absolutely perfect place to stay for our wedding weekend. The boys enjoyed soaking in the spa before getting dressed in to their wedding suits. We enjoyed the little notes left by the Hosts, Lyn and alan, making our stay more comfortable. We hope to come back to celebrate wedding anniversaries to come!! Thanks a lot!

“Perfect location for an escape from reality” The directions to get to Waiwurrie were perfect, the farmhouse and room we stayed in were wonderful. Vickie and Roger looked after us perfectly, and the catering was sublime. The views are second to none of the Bay of Islands, and we truly did not want to leave.

“What makes a good holiday.” Trying to determine where to stay when planning a holiday is extremely hard when you have never been to a spot. Mary & Peter's was like finding a winning loto ticket in your pants pocket.It is a new place and they have all the added touches such as big screen TV, Movies, Stereo, BBQ and the best of all the most magnificent view you could ever want. We actually felt that we did not have to leave the unit as you could never get a better view and the sun was shining the entire time. They have added a great deal of personal touches to the place that make it a pleasure to stay at. Your hospitality was outstanding and there is nothing negative we could ever add to this experience. Gentlemen this is the place to take your partner for a nice glass of wine and sit on the balcony and watch the view.

“Wonderful, relaxing one night stay; wished it had been longer” We had booked Ferry Mans Cottage for a special getaway during a quick scoot on the South Island away from the kids. We had hoped from the what we'd seen on the website that it would be a break to remember... it was. A lovely cottage in a truly stunning location. Our baths under the stars, listening to morepork owls and kiwis with the burning brazier next to us is a memory that will stay with us for a long time. Dinner in Birds Ferry Lodge was also really very good, with accomplished hosting by andre. We wished we had been able to stay for longer and hope we can get back, perhaps with the kids next time.

“What a refreshing, adventurous time it was at the Aoraki Cottage” The cottage was a great location for us to drive to outdoor tourist scenery, including Mr. Cook and the Lord of the Rings filming backdrops and snowboarding/skiing. What a blast! We also enjoyed simply relaxing at the cottage. A couple of days we preferred to sleep in, make breakfast, walk around the spectacular farm, and wind down in the spa. It surpassed our hopeful expectations, and we were thrilled to spend our honeymoon at the Aoraki Cottage.

“Cute, convenient and cosy.” This was a comfortable and convenient unit in a quiet location. Well suited for myself and 2 children. There was a lovely shared garden. This is relatively close to the beach and Milford shops. Ilan was very helpful and accessible to sort out issues. I would happily stay here again rather than stay in a motel.
