“Country Escape” The last mile or two may be long but this wonderful house is worth it. A superb character farmhouse in a wonderful setting. A cosy, secret retreat. Make sure you explore the grounds down to the river. The games room was a bonus. Highly recommended.

“Plenty to see and to do but a quiet place to stay” The views are spectacular. The accomodation is comfortable and the landlady is very friendly. It's a nice place for children. We loved to play with the dogs.

“Family trip” We travelled again to Settle, this time with my wife's parents. And the only drawback is I wished we would have booked a longer stay. Settle as always was wonderful and more than met with my in-laws expectations.

“family holiday” The cottage was a really nice one, there was 6 adults and my then 6month old grandaughter. We had plenty of room so nobody was in one anothers way. There was plenty of information of what was around and about to do, which was helpful for us when we had done all we had planned. I phoned the owners the day before and they were really helpfull they answered all i asked. The only let down we had was the lack of cleaning my eldest daughter and myself had to clean from top to bottom as there was dog hairs everywhere and when i washed the floors i had to change the water 3 times. The drive up to the cottage is a long way from the road but we didnt mind that. Dont run out of anything as the nearest shops are a fair distance. What we all liked was the open views we had, the viaduct was in sight from the sunlounge,the people was all so frindly. Would we go again... yes we would.

“A beautiful place, a perfect break” The cottage is in a gorgeous location within easy reach of many of the Dales. It had everything we needed whilst retaining its Dales charm and character. The view in the garden was stunning and heading back home after a busy day out, we always looked forward to our cosy peacefhome from home! “Great stay at ash Pot Barn” I stayed at ash Pot Barn with 6 other ladies. We had a great time. We couldnt fault our stay in anyway. We would definatley return, especially in Summer as it has a great BBQ area overlooking the Fells, But was cosy in the winter when we went. We walked to the Fat Lamb pub which took about 1 hour 10 mins. Secluded location but perfect for relaxing and staying in, great kitchen/living area. Bedrooms spacious and everywhere very clean.

“Lovely cottage ideally placed for walking in the Dales.” Cottage well equipped,spotlessly clean and cosy. Home made marmalade and fresh eggs were a treat. Hawes only 10 minutes away. Lots of walks to suit everyone. Railway line opposite was a novelty. Owners very easy to get on with and friendly - the file in the cottage which tells you everything you need to know is worth its weight in gold! We will definately return.

“Very comfortable, goos location” Had a great week, we love the area and discovered some new walks and places to visit, The accomodation was very homely and the owners who lived next door, gave us a lot of information about the area. Would reccomend this cottage to anyone.

“Perfect” The best cottage I have stayed in. The attention to detail was amazing with underfloor heating in the bathroom, lovely comfy beds, a pretty garden and lots lots more. All this together with the sunshine and the beautiful dales what more can you ask for. I will definitely be going back.

“Beautiful location and very peaceful cosy cottage.” Had a lovely relaxing week in a cosy clean cottage in a really good location, shame it rained for three days but it didn,t stop us enjoying the beautiful scenery. The local town of Settle was lovely, the locals were very friendly. Will book again for next year.

“Excellent accommodation” Most comfortable, clean and cosy apartment. Everything was well organised both by Sykes Cottages and the owner. Would certainly recommend to family and friends.

“just like home” A good time was had by all four of us .the cottage was very well laid out, as my mother in law has limited movement,but we found this to be just the idel place, as they are no steps to tackle The welcome tray that was left for us was so nice, oweners were next door and are very very nice will love to go back to this cottage at some time in the future

“great cottage in great location, highly recommended.” We were very impressed with Sandy Cottage it was beautifully furnished real home from home. The location was fantastic and was enjoyed by all. We have a puppy and were a bit dubious about a dog friendly cottage having not used one before but we were pleasantly surprised and Sandy Cottage is a credit to its owner.

“Away from it all” A lovely quiet little cottage with excellent amenities on a working farm in Upper Wharfedale. Quite remote and very peaceful, but close to some good local pubs and with wonderful scenery and walks right from the front door. The owners are very friendly and helpful without ever being obtrusive. We very much enjoyed our stay including the enforced extra day after we got snowed in! Suitable for all those who love the outdoors, perhaps less so for those craving access to modern entertainment - there is no mobile phone signal and the bright lights are many miles away!

“Breathteaking view, cosy house, perfect place for tours, but no” Bridge End 1 has ample space for six people, wonderfully and tastefully furnished rooms, and the most magnificent view out of the bay window of the living room. Hiking tours can be started right from the property, and still there is no car needed for grocery shopping - the "center" of Grassington is only a five minutes' walk away. Backdraws: The room in the basement felt a bit damp, so we did not use it (and we did not need to - there were enough beds for the six of us upstairs). And the traffic across the bridge that gave the house its name is a little bit loud, but the cars' noise mixes up with the very soothing rushing of the river.

“Can't wait to return” One of the best cottages we have ever stayed at, Fabby views, walks from the door, the owner was most helpful & welcoming. Everything you could ask for. Reeth is delightful the market (on a Friday) is Fantastic for local Produce,

“Beautiful cottage in a great location” This is a beautiful and clean cottage - perfect for a family or group of friends. The location is fantastic, on the edge of the village on the path to the cove, but just minutes from pubs, etc. I would definitely recommend this cottage to others

“lots to do” This was an excellent place to stay, lots of places to eat and good food to buy. Lots of lovely places to visit. really enjoyed Bolton castle and trip on train as well as quiet days only gazing out at the moors. The army, god bless them for keeping us safe, were never a problem. They keep this area like it was 30 years ago, no development or houses built in the countryside. The house was warm, the beds comfortable, pub at Downholm had great food and was very busy, a must as was the Italian restaurant in Richmond. I loved the view of Walburn Hall. Most memorable, hope to return.

“Beautiful place!” We wanted a place in Dales that gave us some nice seclusion as we were coming from a huge city with major traffic jams. This cottage and surrounding area was just the place. It was beautiful and the cottage was very well equipped with whatever we needed. We will definitely go back.

“delightful” the coachouse at gigglewick was what we expected. great unit spacious, well appointed, set in a lovely country setting. would recommend it to any family who wish to enjoy a relaxing holiday

“Fantastic house loved by everyone” We were a group of 10 women who were here for a girlie weekend of relaxation and laughter and the house certainly lived up to our expectations. There was more than enough room and the open plan dining/kitchen was where we spent most of our time. Everything about the house was high quality and we appreciated the lovely touch of cake and bottle of wine waiting for us when we arrived. We are definitely looking at booking again next year.

“Restful and relaxing time in a beautiful cottage” The cottage was well equipped and extremely comfortable and situated in a beautiful part of North Yorkshire. We had a great week and would thoroughly recommend it.
