Ambiance by the Lake, Niagara On The Lake, Ontario Canada

Niagara-on-the-Lake house

2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 4

“Large, well-maintained, well-equipped home” We’ve just spent five days at this lovely home. It is clean, attractively decorated and spacious; in fact, more so than the photographs promised. There are three roomy gathering areas with plenty of seating: the living room, an inviting TV room and a covered patio. In addition, the kitchen is large with bar seating and also served as a gathering place. The garden appeared to be larger than others in the area, and was well maintained. We didn't have young children in our party but there was plenty of 'running space' in the back garden. The location is very convenient. It’s a few blocks from Queen St. and, important to us, a few blocks from the food store. The hostess, Brenda, was helpful and gracious. Upon our arrival there was a wi-fi issue but Brenda set too and speedily resolved the matter. We rented the house for a family get-together and it lent itself very well to this purpose.

Niagara-on-the-Lake house

4 bedrooms / 3 bathrooms / sleeps 9

“Paramedic Getaway!” Our group of 6 paramedic ladies, rented this wonderful property Nov 8-10, 2013 and what an amazing weekend!! The house is amazing and the location is exactly where you would want to be, a block from the main street. Angelo was very accommodating and answered any questions we had during the rental process! The house has everything you could ever need to make your stay comfortable. A scavenger hunt was organized for the Saturday morning so the ladies could become more familiar with the town. It was a roaring success and all the stores were very gracious! This is a great location to Niagara Falls, to the wineries and is a great vacation in any season. Would highly recommend this location. Thanks angelo!

Williams Retreat, Niagara-on-the-Lake

Niagara-on-the-Lake house

3 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 6

“Fantastic!” We stayed at Williams Retreat in august of 2013. The manager, Gillian, was great from the time of booking until we left. The home was clean throughout and very spacious. We traveled with 2 young children and a small dog and everyone had an awesome stay. The kitchen had everything that one could need to cook with, a barbeque was available to use, the bedding was very comfortable, the back yard was very spacious allowing our kids to play and it was very close to Niagara Falls. Initially the distance to the Falls was a deterrent to me, but after realizing how close Niagara On The Lake was to the Falls, I am not only glad that we stayed here, but will do so again. For families with young children, there is a very nice and updated park nearby. For wine lovers, the home is very close to several popular wineries. For tourists, the Falls is approximately 15 minutes away by car. This home had great service, support, amenities, and comfort. It was simply fantastic.

“Just beautiful” We stayed at Periwinkle Cottage for 4 nights with our 2 kids. We arrived and the pictures were exactly as they seemed on the website. We love the location and quite street, we walked every evening to town for an early dinner, it was cold but beautiful. It was so nice to come home each day and enjoy the cottage, it was very homey and cosy. I loved the front porch and loved sitting there in the morning with my coffee rugged up. Genie was fantastic we had the opportunity to meet her when we arrived and she was there for us if we needed her for anything. I will never forget our time here and i will definitely like to come back. Many people from australia asked me where the cottage was and love all the photos i posted. I will make sure i come back again. Thank you very much!

Marrakech Mansion 1 block to Queen St. 1/2 to Lake

Niagara-on-the-Lake house

4 bedrooms / 3 bathrooms / sleeps 10

“Our favorite Mansion” Our group of 10 ladies have been getting together for a weekend at Niagara on the Lake for over 20 years now. Three years ago we discovered Marrakech Mansion and it is our favorite place to stay. It is well maintained, immaculately clean and we love the Moroccan décor. There are plenty of places to relax both in the house and outside in the large, quiet garden. It is hard to believe that you are just a short walk to stores, theatres and restaurants. The house was easy to book and the owner Don George was very helpful with any questions we had regarding the property. We would highly recommend this house to any group or family looking for a place to stay in NOTL and plan on returning next year.

“Delightful” Absolutely delightful. Orsi, the hostess, was very accommodating with our requests. Visitors from Ireland with a toddler. Easy for him to move about and place items out of his way. Lovely swing in the backyard so we enjoyed that. Large backyard for loads of activity. We Bbq'd and also found the bikes a good way to get about. Lovely stay..relaxing...quiet but close to the town and also for a drive to Niagara Falls. Thank You Orsi.

Two Bedroom Suite in Old Town Niagara-on-the-Lake

Niagara-on-the-Lake apartment

2 bedrooms / 1 bathroom / sleeps 6

“Clean, bright, conveniently located and free of clutter! True to” My husband and I stayed 2 nights. I'm a tough critic and was impressed with the cleanliness, really comfy bed, good towels and, for once, excellent bedside reading lights. I always cook our morning/evening meals and travel with my own knives/pots so can't attest to quality of supplied items. However, they appeared in good shape. I liked that counter and bedside table surfaces were available for the traveller to use and not covered in junky "decorative" items. Apartment walls appeared recently painted, and there is no carpeting (other than on the stairs leading up to the unit)--great for anyone with allergies. The one lounging area is part of the larger bedroom, which was okay for us since we were only two. This apartment feels quite spacious and is not furnished with unsold garage sale items which, sadly, is often the case. There is no closet in the larger bedroom, again not an issue for two people. As a woman who wears makeup, my only criticism is the bathroom lighting. I couldn't see a thing in there, even on a sunny day. The over-mirror lighting points up. Fortunately, with my trusty travel mirror, I set up a little station near a bright window. A wall-mounted magnifying mirror would also be great in the bathroom. There is construction on the street in front of the house--not an issue for us on the weekend. Apparently it affects land line phone service. We left a message regarding some lightbulbs being out but owners weren't able to remedy because they didn't get message until late on the second night of our stay. However, they were right over to see us when they did receive the message, so they're very good about responding once a problem is known to them. Recommend this apartment without hesitation. We travel a lot & primarily stay in apt-style accommodation. It is not a luxury apartment but has good quality features & there's a lovely little deck off kitchen that we didn't get to use due to cool weather. Walk to all the shops & restaurants in 10 minutes.

Simcoe Pines, 4 Bdrm Luxury home with heated pool

“Beautiful home in a great location” Just returned from spending a week at Simcoe Pines with our closest friends. We had the best time and we loved the house! We prepared some excellent meals, drank local wines and sat around and got caught up. Simcoe Pines is beautifully decorated...every bedroom is well put together and the beds are very comfortable. We loved being able to walk to Queen St everyday and enjoyed the bakery called Willow Cakes at the end of the street. We found the location to be perfect. The owners, Angelo and Kerri were great to work with and made great recommendations for wine tours and dining. We will be back next Fall and we are also discussing a summer stay so we can enjoy the pool! It looks great!

“It has everything!” It is the perfect location being on the main drag - walking distance to the shops and restaurants; parking space for one vehicle; lovely open concept living-dining room-kitchen area; two bedrooms with their own bathrooms; comfy, cozy, private and convenient. No wonder so many of their guests return year after year, as attested to in their Guest Book. This was the perfect location for our annual Sister Weekend (4 of us) and we highly recommend it.

Clean and comfortable house, in a good location

We stayed at the house over the weekend as we had a family wedding at a nearby winery. We were able to sleep 8 comfortably (although I found out that people slept directly on the couch instead of the pull out!) The bedrooms were a good size and there was enough space to have everyone lounge in the main room. The kitchen and bathrooms had everything we needed and the backyard patio was so nice to have, after a whirlwind weekend in the August heat. My only small issue was reversing out of the driveway, as there are a lot of cars on Stone road in the middle of the afternoon. However, due to being 8 months pregnant, I had some mobility issues with turning around anyways. I would definitely stay again.see more
