“Beutiful cabin,great place for some R” I rented the cabin for the weekend after Christmas as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend. It turned out to be a great gift. It was so nice to get some great R&R; after the busy week of Christmas. The cabin was clean and beautiful, we loved it. The town of McConnelsville is about 20 minutes away,we went in for coffee and lunch, and returned later for dinner. We did a little hiking in the woods behind the cabin. I would love to rent the cabin again, maybe in the spring or summer and take my grandkids. Antler Ridge is everything a cabin should be.

“Cabin is more wonderful than you can imagine” The cabin was absolutely beautiful and was better than we could have imagined. The pictures just don't do it justice. The 2 new bathrooms are amazing and the jacuzzi tub was a lifesaver after we returned battered and bruised from whitewater rafting. After being gone all day, it was such a joy "coming home" at night to the warmth and comfort of the cabin. There were 8 of us and we were looking for peace and quiet and seclusion and we found it. The cabin was only 15 miles from Estes Park, so it was close enough for all the activities that Estes provides. We can not say enough great things about the cabin and Jessie was so easy to deal with. To stay anywhere else on your Rocky Mountain visit would be denying yourself the best accomodations in the area.

“Relaxing and rejuvinating” My husband, six month old daughter and I spent the weekend here in May. It was outstanding. Kendall, the owner, was warm and welcoming from the minute we stepped out of the car. She provided us with maps of her property, which you can hike and explore. We especially enjoyed the koi pond and just sitting on the porch swing. The views are amazing from the porch and deck. The cabin is in Fairview, NC which is about 20 minutes away from Asheville. It is the perfect location, far enough away to feel as if you are the only ones around, but close enough to downtown to run in for dinner. You don't have to, however, because there is a restaurant, The Local Joint, about 5 minutes away. They have a variety of local food and organic entrees. Excellent. Kendall is a licensed massage therapist and yoga instructor. We were able to get massages for both my husband and myself, which were fantastic. I also opted to take a private yoga lesson, which was awesome. I am a super-beginner, and she was able to make the class both on my level and enjoyable. We got the "relaxation weekend" which I highly recommend. The massage and yoga class (or sauna treatment) come with the cabin price. There is a hot tub which we were unable to use (because we needed to watch the baby), but looked very inviting. Overall, I would give this vacation spot 5 stars, more if I could!

“The perfect trip! Awesome!” Wife and I recently spent our 15th anniversary in "A Mountain Dream"...and, it was a dream, indeed! “Absolutely Relaxing” This cabin is so relaxing to stay at. The sound of the river right outside puts you to sleep at night. We slept with the windows open all nite. The Pictures do not do this cabin justice. The stone walls are something to behold. The kitchen has every appliance and utensil you could ever use all you need is your food. The beds are comfortable. The owners have gone out of their way to make sure you know of all the local area hiking, boating and restaurants that are available in the area. We really would love to stay here again. It is off the beaten path and once you get there you never want to leave.

“Perfect Hideaway.” Perfect couple hideaway for the weekend. We enjoyed the hot tub, the views, and the fireplace. It was very warm and inviting. Fully stocked kitchen so it was nice to be able to cook and enjoy staying in. 15 minutes to Gatlinburg and 15 to Pigeon Forge. Highly recommend!!

“Beautiful cabin and view” The drive to the cabin was fairly easy since the road is paved. However, the turn in to the private drive was tricky for our Chrysler Town and Country minivan. We couldn't make it in one turn and had to stop and backup a little then put it back in drive to make the turn. Also, any time we left the cabin we had to backup and put it back in drive a couple of times before we could get turned around. Smaller vehicles will probably not have this problem. The cabin is beautiful with all the large windows and so many gorgeous logs! We loved sitting out on the deck looking at the mountains and listening to the nearby creek. We wished a few more trees had been cut down, but were happy for those that had been. We understand the sun could be a problem since there are no blinds in the kitchen or living room and we had the sun in our eyes every morning. I would recommend some of the small pull down blinds for those windows. The decks are awesome and provide a ton of space, but we wish there had been more furniture on both decks (there is none on the lower level where the hot tub is). The hot tub and sauna were amazing. The upstairs guest bathtub is wonderful, as is the shower downstairs. There needs to be more bath/hand towels and washcloths in all bathrooms. I would recommend towels on the lower level specifically for use with the hot tub/sauna. We had fun playing pool and the table is in great shape. As much as we loved the cabin there was one thing that would keep us from going back...the beds. Not everyone slept well and when you are somewhere for a week rest is important. We realize bed preferences are very individualized and others may find them more comfortable than we did. Lastly, the reservation process and picking up/returning keys was very easy.

“100% recommendable!” We tremendously enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was as promised, remote (but not very difficult to get to) , isolated from the daily assault of internet and cell phone services and surrounded by 100% beautiful nature with the Chinati mountains to north and the Sierra Madre to the south, both of which could be enjoyed in a panorama view from the spacious balcony. As for the cabin, don’t expect the sterility of a commercial rental. This is more like your best friend handed over the key to his cabin. We found the cabin clean and cosy and little by little discovered some gems on the bookshelves and in the CD rack. The bed was very comfortable and kept us warm even during cold winter nights. The wood stove kept the cabin warm during the day. Across the road is a simple resort called variously Chinati or Ruidosa Hot Springs. For $15 a person you can get a day pass with access to the “communal pool”, which has about as much charm as a fitness club hot tub, only it is not really hot but lukewarm. We did not bother. Hiking along the road rewards you with some spectacular views and the cabin itself has a cute winding trail of about 1 mile, which starts on the north side of the house (walk in the direction of the fence). All other roads and trails are private and unfortunately, there is no public access to the Rio Grande/Bravo anywhere close. So mostly, you get to enjoy the cabin, which was fine by us. 100% recommendable!

“Fantastic place to recharge” In short this is just a wonderful place to visit and stay and was worth the 7 hour trip from Silver Spring MD. Other reviews have said better then I could how lovely this place is. I'll just try to add on by noting a small things about the TV and internet that I noticed wasn't mentioned much by others. The picture shows there is a TV but its a bit dated in that it is no longer a big butt TV but a good sized flat screen with HDMI outputs. So if your young and tech savy like we are and like to play your movies off your laptop/hard drive then it is completely possible. However, Bill has a great collection of DVDs with a wide range from light-hearted comedies to Oscar worthy dramas and thus we just ended up take advantage of his selections after relaxing in the hot tub and pouring a glass of wine at sunset. (the mountain view is unbeatable) No wireless but I was able to check work emails on my phone the one time I checked just in case something required my attention. Definitely not an area where streaming videos is seamless but for me disconnecting from the internet was a big appeal to me anyways and think you would find it is too.

“Beautiful Cabin” I have stayed at the Bunkhouse Cabin many times and I really enjoy the peace and quiet the place offers. The Cabin has excellent views of the Tongass Narrows plus a beautiful setting. The Bunkhouse Cabin is a great place for a romantic night with someone special and the Cabin offers a warm and clean place to rest and relax. I'm very fussy where I stay and this is the place for me many times I come to Ketchikan. Nicloe and Jim Church go out of their way to make sure you recieve the best stay.

“Beautiful, extremely comfortable, would go back again!!!” My family and I stayed for 8 days and could not have asked for a more comfortable, clean well-built cabin to spend our vacation. The views were beautiful especially the sunrise in the morning over the deck. There were six of us, all adults, and the house was large enough that we all had our own space when needed. We were close to trout fishing, zip lining and water rafting. One of the things that stood out to me was the quality of the furnishings from the bedding, linens to all of the kitchen ware. The whole cabin has been decorated with taste and quality. My family enjoyed the hot tub every night. We grilled on the deck, made smores over the fire pit. It was truly a wonderful vacation that was made even more memorable by the cabin itself. I would definitely go back again and hope to!!!

“Lovely, charming and warm cabin!” We had a great time staying at the cabin over Christmas 2012. Ideal for our family (two adults & two children). The cabin has everything you need to be comfortable, well equipped and warm. Nice and quiet place - no impact from I-70, easy to get to the shuttle bus to Vail! Short walk/or drive to supermarket if needed. The kids enjoyed the new snow and had fun rolling and tubing around the hills behind the cabin.

“Great time at King's Mountain Laurel” We are two adventurous Senior Adult couples who wanted to get away from it all for Thanksgiving. That's exactly what we found at this lovely cabin on top of this mountain, and the owner was warm and friendly. We were comfy, warm and the views from the porch was incredible! The driveway was a thrill and not for the faint of heart, but we had an experienced driver so we had no problems. Daniel's Steakhouse served a great Thanksgiving meal; Georgia Mountain Restruant had a great breakfast, and we shopped and explored the surrounding area on Friday...Don't miss Bell Mountain (another thrill) in Hiawassee, and Mark of the Potter in Clarksville. “Wish I could live here!!!” My husband and I stayed here for an extended weekend with our five year old son. We have stayed in numerous cabins throughout the Boone area and this one is by far, the best one yet! The cabin has all of the amentities of a home, just bring your clothes and some food and you're all set! The cabin is very comfy, tastefully decorated and in a perfect location. We were far enough away from Boone to truly relax yet there is a grocery store five minutes away. We grilled out each evening on the wonderful wrap around deck. The sunset view from the deck and hot tub are absolutely amazing! I wish I could experience this every evening! My son fell in love with the hot tub, we could not get him out of there!! We truly appreciate the little things about this cabin. There were fun games, Netflix access (which was great for our son!!), etc. My husband was impressed with the surprise beer he found waiting for us and I enjoyed the complimentary wine :) This is truly a home away from home. I was very sad to leave and we will definitely be back, hopefully very soon :)
