“Everything Our Family Was Looking For & More” Thank goodness for finding Good Ol' Days Guesthouse! My husband had to come to the Pittsburgh area for business and wanted to bring the whole family along so we could have some family fun in his down time. We looked for hours at hotels in the area and not only were they very expensive, but we would have had to book two separate rooms for my family of six. We were just about to give up searching, when I came across Good Ol' Days Guesthouse. What a treat! The owners, both Melanie and her husband were so friendly & accommodating. They made sure that every aspect of our stay was perfect, from the local bakery goods that they left for us to enjoy, to the slinky gifts that they purchased for each of my four children to keep. Everything about our stay here was first rate. Good Ol' Days Guesthouse really is a blast from the past! As for my husband and myself, we were taken back in time by all of the decor and memorabilia. We also loved the comfortable beds there. My children absolutely loved hanging out in the cool basement/game room, where they learned how to play an old style pinball game and also how records work! Now, as if that wasn't enough, several months after staying here Melanie found a new watch in a case and called every recent tenant until finding the owner of this watch. It was my sons, and Melanie was kind enough to send it to us, asking nothing in return. I cannot thank her enough for her top notch customer service and her kindness. I would highly recommend a stay at Good Ol' Days Guesthouse to anyone and everyone that is coming to the area. I know that if we ever come the Pittsburgh area again, this is only place we would want to stay!

“A Wonderful Family Week!” We just wanted to send a quick note to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay week before last. It was a wonderful opportunity for our family to gather and relax. We appreciated the ability to put the one year old baby to bed and be able to socialize in another area of the house without waking him. He loved looking at the horses and walking in the grass (simple pleasures!). This is the first time we have tried the weekly house rental idea and it was perfect for us. The property was lovely, well maintained, and welcoming. Thanks for everything.

“Fantastic place to stay in Poconos” Attention to detail was put in this house in every way! I rented this house for a guys golf trip from Friday through Sunday. There was 12 in our group and each person had a bed to sleep in. From the moment you walk in you are greated to a warm, inviting living room that opens up to an entertaining kitchen ( stainless steel appliances and marble counters) across from a huge wooden dining room table and lounge area. Exposed wooden beams give the home a comfortable feel as do the wood floors. The Sonos system is available throughout the house via small iPad's built into the wall ( sound quality was A+). Each bedroom has soft beds/pillows and linens and you can control the temperature per your liking. Bath towels were provided for everyone and the bathrooms are brand new with glass doors and tile floors. Off of the kitchen/dining room there is a huge outdoor deck with couches/ patio table/ coffee table for plenty. There are 2 BBQ's on deck, 1 charcoal, 1 gas. The best part of house besides the owners who are there for you throughout the booking process and while you stay is the huge indoor pool and jacuzzi. It's a big room with a bar and lounge area with a projection screen to watch/stream movies. Outside of the pool area is a large fire pit with Adirondak chairs to relax in. Mario, the owner was available through text and phone and replied back right away with any questions/concerns. Overall this was one of the best rentals I've experienced in close to a dozen times. I honestly do not have anything negative to say about my experience and would rent again in a second! Well worth the money.

“Great Vacation Home” Just went for two days for the kids mid-winter vacation. The place was lovely. It was very clean and well organized. The beautiful wood and great fireplace created a warm charming atmosphere. Great size bedrooms. Mark was just wonderful to deal with. He was flexible and his instructions for the use of everyting was very clear. We had a large group and found it very comfortable. We would highly recommend it.

“Cozy cottage stay” My family stayed at Fort Loudon from 7/27 through 8/3 and we loved it. My daughters and I appreciated the extras such as shampoos and fresh flowers and my son and husband loved the fire pit and woods. We also enjoyed Cowens Gap down the street. Thanks for all the extras and the use of the game room which my 12 year old loved! Your daughter was quite hospitable too! Thanks again for a great week!

“Would Rent Again” The house was clean and had everything we needed. Maggie and her husband were very flexible and accommodating. I was with a party of six and we had enough space to all sit around the dinning table. I would definitely rent again.

“Homey, Cozy, and CLEAN!” This house was one of my all time favorite houses! We were so comfortable and cozy in this house. We made ourselves right at home (which isn't easy for me to do!). Unfortunately, we didn't have the best weather (rain!), but were able to go sledding one day and utilized the stables twice (Shannon was wonderful there! This was a fantastic added bonus for my 7 year old who rides!) I'd love to visit this home in the fall. The fire pit in the yard looked fantastic (it was snow and ice covered for us), and we would love to take advantage of the trail rides at the stables. The owner was extremely attentive...I asked a lot of questions and she never made me feel like it was a problem...and was very quick to respond! We will definitely be back! “Very cozy!” We very much enjoyed our stay! There was plenty of room and it was well decorated. I absolutely loved the couch, it was very comfortable, and the hot tub was a favorite. “Home Away from Home Only Better” We love this house. It is so warm and cozy. As soon as you step in, you feel right at home. There is plenty of room and open space. The fireplace and living room are incredibly tranquil. There is plenty of sleeping space and bathroom space. The bathrooms are updated and nice and clean. I love the that you don't feel on top of one another. The decor is warm. The views are incredible. We can only imagine how it will be in the summer with the Lake. I can't wait to come back.
