“Excellent little getaway” My wife and I stayed here on our honeymoon. The cabin was beautiful and well kept. The hot tub was very clean. We could hear traffic sometimes but not enough to really be bothered. This is a wonderful place to stay near some great national parks, and right outside the lively town of Helen. We couldn't have been happier with our stay.

“Unique and beautiful...heavy on the character...” I'm a frequent visitor of the 'ette. I love the location (right off the main drag) but enjoy its solitude (wooded median...long drive way). Its sort of like a studio apartment in the woods. its close to many of the wineries, The Red Newt and Stone Cat restaurants and a gas/quick mart. When Wine tasting its easy to swing by and change clothes/use the facilities/take a nap (comfy beds) and unload your recent purchases. The owners are friendly and helpful. The grounds are spacious with a nice walking trail. For what you get for the price its really a great secret. So why share a secret? I'm not there long enough or frequent enough to keep it to myself...like a cool song, I shouldn't be singing it alone (especially if you've heard my voice).

“Perfect stop & go on our way to weekend in the city” This was the perfect stop & go on Thursday evening as we were staying downtown for the weekend to see Dave Matthews, Vicki greeted us after arrival, answered any questions we had, and we had complete privacy from that point on. The fridge was stocked with drinks and breakfast items, and the kitchen was ready to prepare a meal had we opted to have dinner in. We used Uber for trips as everything is very close to Vicki's place! Very affordable in comparison to hotel but all the amenities of home! Thanks Vicki! Melanie & Eric

“Beautifully Decorated Home, Awesome Location” We just spent a wonderful weekend celebrating with 10 friends at The Regent House in NOTL. We were greeted by the owners Melissa and Paul and they instantly made us feel at home. We were all very happy and satisfied with the home from top to bottom. The bedrooms were spotless and beautifully decorated, each with their own ensuite , the beds were so comfortable.There was plenty of room for all of us, with was a very large dining room and 2 large living areas.The kitchen was well equipped and very clean. There's a walk out to the back patio with a beautiful private yard. the house is just a few blocks to the main street....great spot...highly recommend! Would love to return when all the lovely gardens are in bloom....Happy Travels

“Connecting with the land” My girlfriend (Katherine) and I stayed here this past weekend to celebrate our anniversary and we couldn't have been happier. Mary and Russel are incredibly nice people, and so are their miniature horses and donkeys! The cabin is absolutely beautiful with a fascinating history. I'm pretty sure Katie's life was changed by this weekend, as she now wants to own a farm with donkeys. I've already recommended this place to many of my friends and will continue to do so. Awesome rates for what you get! We are definitely coming back next year, if not in the next few months. I would love to see what its like to stay there with a blanket of snow on the ground. “awesome beautiful place” I can't say enough about this. Place, perfect I guess Serene, peaceful,beautiful, quiet. Djuna the owner is Sweet and very efficient and provides every detail. The Whole are is perfect Oct a getaway, things to do places To shop,eat or just cuddle in with a fire. We will Definetly be returning as soon as we can.:)))

“Best house ever” The house is in a beautiful setting. So many things to do in the area from antique shopping, golf in the summer, winter skiing, hiking, really great restaurants. Once you've seen the house though, you won't want to leave. Great layout for families, group of friends, special occasions or just getting away to a special place. everything is provided for your stay. Fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, outdoor fire pit!!! Watch shooting stars at night. Jennifer has thought of everything. Even a playroom with toys and games! No preparation is needed on your part. Just show up for a fabulous stay.

“What a nice little getaway place!” Dealing with Shirley was very easy and I appreciate her working with me on a last minute decision to rent a log home. A lot of house rentals want advance notice, and will not let you stay for only one evening, you have to book for 3 days minimum. Shirley's house worked great for a last minute get away for my girlfriends Birthday. The following day we got up and went sight seeing. Very nice quiet area to get away from your daily life! Would highly recommend Shirley and her Beautiful house.

“Terrific Rental in Windham” This is a great rental property. The house is very well maintained and comes complete with everything you need for your visit. This includes the kitchen where many other rental properties offer sparse and/or low quality utensils, plates, etc. Angel has literally thought of everything and organized the property to make your stay enjoyable. Also, the hot tub has very potent jets which was nice for a bunch of middle aged golfers after a long day on the course. Angel was extremely helpful and responsive throughout the entire rental process. If you are coming to Windham you will be hard pressed to find a nicer property.

“Outstanding Vacation Rental” Our extended family (22 people - 13A/9K) had a great week at Saddle Beach. The house was beautiful and in very good condition. The option of being in the pool or the river during the day was wonderful. The house was clean and well furnished. The dining room table and table on the porch provided plenty of seating for meals. There was plenty of hot water for showers and clean-up after meals. The pool was clean and the river was awesome, with a gradual slope that was perfect for kids and adults. We used the crab traps provided and caught 2 dozen crabs that made a great contribution to dinner on Friday. Crabbing was best by the dock. We caught all but 3 crabs there, rather than out closer to the middle of the river. The AC on the ground floor stopped working on Tuesday, but one call to the owner and the repair team was on-site in less than 2 hours. The issue was resolved before noon on Wednesday. We have been renting vacation properties for years and issues crop up from time to time. We appreciated the quick response and resolution. The one recommendation we will make is to bring bug spray (mosquitos and horse flies). We anticipated it being right on the river, but if you haven't had that experience, you need to be prepared.

“Perfect Trip!” We did not travel far from where we are from, but we felt like we had escaped to the most beautiful part of the middle of nowhere. Everything you forgot or might have forgotten was available, and the six of us (8 one night) slept completely comfortably. We have already inquired about returning in summers and winters to come. We were secluded, and the yard was perfect for our endless bocce ball games. Very worth it!

“Lovely, romantic getaway” After a hectic month my husband and I were looking for an easy getaway. The Farmhouse was perfect. It was open and airy, and beautifully designed. A really great find among the stuffier B&B; options normally found upstate. We highly recommend it.

“Absolutely Relaxing” This cabin is so relaxing to stay at. The sound of the river right outside puts you to sleep at night. We slept with the windows open all nite. The Pictures do not do this cabin justice. The stone walls are something to behold. The kitchen has every appliance and utensil you could ever use all you need is your food. The beds are comfortable. The owners have gone out of their way to make sure you know of all the local area hiking, boating and restaurants that are available in the area. We really would love to stay here again. It is off the beaten path and once you get there you never want to leave.
