“Kid friendly hot tub fun!” We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend in the high mountains of West Virginia because of this prime rental. All of us loved the great kitchen, the big fireplace and the inviting hot tub. A great location - close to skiing or hiking. Just sitting on the sprawling deck and forgetting the rest of the world would have been enough!

Spacious, updated condo close to slopes.

We enjoyed our stay in spite of the warm temperatures. The skiing was still a lot of fun and the slope is a short and easy walk from the condo. I think you could actually ski out the door versus walk the path if it's snowy. Great parking at the condo. Easy in and out. Beds were comfortable and the place was very clean. Updated kitchen and baths. We really appreciated the disposables being there - coffee, soaps, all paper products and toiletries. Plenty of nice towels were provided. Condo has a nice layout w two masters downstairs and two Bedrooms plus a loft with Queen bed upstairs and a full bath. A few basic maintenance issues occurred while we were there, but we called and they were fixed very quickly. … see more

Everything Included

This condo comfortably accommodated our two families, which totaled ten!!! We rate this condo a 10 plus! From the friendly greeting as we arrived, the warm underground parking garage (no unloading in the snow), the fresh towels that await you as you exit the hot tubs, the locker room, literally steps from the slopes (no wearing your heavy, snow filled boots to the room) to all the extra amenities the condo itself has to offer. My family had an amazing time and made a lot of memorable memories. We have stayed at a lot of different condos at Snowshoe, but by far 405 Soaring Eagle was the best we have ever stayed!!! Cozy Stay

We stayed in this condo for the Freefall Festival over Labor Day weekend 2016. The unit is exactly as described and shown in the photos. It has up-to-date appliances and furnishings. The decor is beautiful and the view overlooking Shavers Lake from the small patio is magnificent, esp. when everything is green and lush. Mountain Lodge is one of the oldest condo complexes on the mountain so, from the outside, it doesn't match the newer adjacent properties such as Seneca and Allegheny Springs. The upside is that you get a larger unit (1 BR with kitchen vs studio) for about the same rate. This unit is quite nice inside and much more up to date than the exterior of the building would suggest. We had wi-fi which, apparently, other units do not have so that's a big plus. My only complaint is that the bedroom has a full bed. It could use a queen bed as most American couples have a queen or larger in their home MBR. It would be tight if you actually tried to sleep four people. We found it comfortable with two. … see more

Great location, comfortable, cozy spot

Our family of five thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our stay at Whistlepunk 1. The location is fabulous. You can walk outside and be on the slope (which you can see from your balcony) in less than a minute. A short (5-10 minute) walk to the village or take the shuttle. Rented equipment from Snowcreek Mountain Rentals--shuttle goes there too--and they are super helpful and accommodating. The company that handles the whistlepunk property is very responsive (the only thing we needed was salt for the stairs) and they called to offer us a late checkout---until 5:00 pm! Super comfortable, roomy property with a well-equipped kitchen. The property manager sent a great email prior to our arrival with great directions to he property, advice for what to pick up along the way (there is NO grocery store up there) and easy directions for getting to and into the property.
