“A warm and welcoming haven at the end of a tiring day!” Bear Creek provides first class accommodation offering all the comfort and privacy you could ask for; Peggy's dinners are highly recommended - she is an excellent cook and Doug a charming and engaging host; Peggy's breakfast was second-to-none and we were only sorry we had to move on. “Great Deal” My family loves this this condo so much that we try to book it every year for our winter ski vacation. It suits our needs to a tea. Our objective is to be close to the mountain, in comfortable living quarters, and all at a reasonable rate. Getting to the mountain couldn't be more convenient. The condo is within walking distance to the mountain, and bus service is provided to the lifts if you don't feel like walking. The apartment provides all the basics: functional kitchen with all necessary cooking appliances, comfortable living room, bathroom, shower and bedroom with 2 twin beds plus a master bedroom. The pool and spa is right across the street. So after after a day of great skiing, we typically relax at the spa and then head home for dinner. All in all, this condo is a great value and is always found to be in excellent condition.

Ski-in/Ski-out Granite Ridge Home in Teton Village

Teton Village house

6 bedrooms / 6 bathrooms / sleeps 16

“Very nice place for a large group.” There were 16 of us, ranging in age from 2 to 62. The accommodations were very adequate. The kitchen is well furnished with appliances, utensils and cookware to prepare meals for a large group. The theatre room has a wide variety of movies to enjoy. There is laundry soap, hand soap and dish soap provided. The house was clean and nicely decorated. On the negative side: there were some comments that some of the mattresses were uncomfortable and had sheets on them that didn't fit properly so they wouldn't stay on the beds. And, the house is not air- conditioned and has no ceiling fans, so it got a little warm in the hot afternoon. There are some floor fans available that can be moved around. Overall, loved it!

About Wyoming

With rambling cowboys, galloping rodeos and two of the U.S.'s most intriguing national parks, Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons, a vacation in Wyoming is not for the faint at heart. The bulk of attractions lie in the northwestern corner, which is where one can experience epic skiing, rafting, hiking and camping. Regardless of your preferred mode of transportation, whether it is ski, board, raft, horse or foot, you are sure to have an unparalleled experience in Wyoming.

Some of the places you will want to visit include:

  • Jackson: This town is a funky cultural bubble where glam meets grit personalities. Located in the dramatic valley of Jackson Hole, high up in the Teton Mountain range, this is the place to start off your Wyoming travels. With spectacular jagged cliffs surrounding the town, ski-bums, cowboys, mountaineers and travelers alike are irresistibly drawn to the alchemy of this scenic beauty.
  • Yellowstone National Park: With its exquisite natural surroundings and abundance of outdoor activities, this place is a dream for wildlife lovers. There are breathtaking geysers and the bubbling Fountain Paint Pots sure to surprise and impress everyone who sees them.
  • Casper: For history lovers, Fort Casper Historical Grounds, a former confederate trading post, is a must. It has been beautifully restored and features live re-enactments. The National Historic Trails Center is another attraction that provides a wealth of information on pioneer trails and the difficulties that early settlers faced.
  • Thermopolis: As host to one of the world's biggest mineral hot springs and the Wyoming Dinosaur Center, this town offers plenty of relaxation and education. There are also a number of spas to keep travelers revitalized here.
  • Cheyenne: This city is the state's capital, and though it offers plenty of modern amenities, it definitely evokes a sense of the Old West too. During the Frontier Days Rodeo in July and the Frontier Days Old West Museum exhibits, visitors get a firsthand glimpse of life during those days gone by.
  • Grand Teton National Park: As home to the Rocky Mountain's Teton Range peaks, this natural wonder is a sight to behold. With awe-inspiring panoramas and alpine scenery, visitors are enchanted by the surroundings. Every outdoor enthusiast will no doubt find their bliss here.

You might be a little overwhelmed by all of the choices for the great outdoors in Wyoming. So here are a few suggestions to help you navigate your way. First off, Wyoming national parks are a big draw for travelers. As described above, Yellowstone Park in particular is a very popular sight to see and experience for locals and out-of-towners alike. During the winter months, skiing Wyoming's slopes lures many people from faraway places looking to "catch some powder."

No matter what attracts you to Wyoming, finding a vacation rental that suits your needs is a synch. Whether it is a wood-side cabin in the country or a condo in downtown Jackson, visitors can make themselves at home here in the Equality State since attractions cater to every age group and budget.

The Choumine # 8
Nice to stay at the mountain.

Generally, a nice stay for a few nights. We would be willing to stay there again. PRO: Right at the mountain. Clean & mostly kept up property. Comfortable for a short stay of a few days. Plenty of hooks for ski gear & coats. CON: 10-12 minute (fairly level) walk to the lifts. Bedroom was a tight space---similar to a large RV. No room for bags/gear. Minimal kitchen equipment, which was not in particularly good shape.see more
The Choumine # 2
Small But Close

This petite 1 bedroom condo felt more like a cozy cabin than anything else. Very nicely finished and with a well equipped kitchen. The bed room was very small but the bed was comfortable. The location was an easy hike to the Tram and Gondola area base (about 200 yds) and the Mangy Moose was close. Note: the Teton Village shuttle does not stop near this location but walking works out fine.see more
Mountain View Lodge
Wonderful cabin in beautiful location!

We stayed here for four days and loved it. It was quiet and serene, the location was breathtaking. The cabin was clean comfortable and spacious. The restaurant next door makes an excellent steak, it was like going to a friend's house for dinner. Highly recommend staying here! … see more

Luxurious Log Cabin on the pond with no Neighbors
Trout fisherman's heaven.

Private log cabin near Afton Wyoming. Private spring fed pond steps from your door full of trout. Also access to 5 miles of private riverfront property. Quick access to owner-operator if any problems arise. Cabin seems brand new with washer/dryer and other amenities that make your stay very homey. The pond water is crystal clear and the fishing is a challenge but hold on if you get a bite because the fish are well fed and can break a line. Many of the fish you will know by name by the end of your stay. The only surprise was the loft had all the beds in one room. The foldout bed in the couch was very comfortable. Nice, affordable grocery store in town. Many natural attraction close to town to take a break from fishing. Close enough Jackson and Yellowstone for a day trip. We will be going back.see more

"Great place for Large Family"

Located just minutes from Teton Park and Jackson. Our family of 13 ranging in age from 5 to 70 were very comfortable in the 5 BR, 5 Bath layout. The kitchen dining and den area was one big open space with lots of room for everyone. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again! … see more
